SEA Vegas: The Thai Experience
This was my second time here. I came back because of the good memory the first time gave my husband and I but I feel like second time around it wasn’t as great as before. I felt the ambiance was different. The lighting was too high, music too low and the food wasn’t as perfect. Our server tried his best but I felt him a bit stressed maybe because of the high volume of people during valentines dinner. Overall good not great.
We came in with a large group of drunk loud people and were treated very well, sorry about the noise! But the food was so amazing 10/10 will return more sober!
Food was tasty, service excellent, ambience was conducive a relaxing dinner. The water feature was peaceful.
The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was charging for rice to have with the curry. This is the only place that didn’t give rick with the curry already.
The food was really good, we had beef jerky and the golden crab roll to start, then my husband had pad Thai w shrimp and I ordered a shrimp entree as well. Both entrees were delicious, but
they left the tails on the shrimp, so we had to search out all the shrimps and pull off the tails, which was a pain and kind of messy. The drinks were delicious also. It was a little pricey.
Overall it was a great experience! The food was great and true to the Thai culture. However, the cons were the menu presentation was lacking, they didn’t have any tap or Asian beers and lastly, not all of the waitresses spoke English which made it hard to communicate.
Service was great. Food did not taste like the Thai food I've ordered elsewhere. Seemed as if they added bottled sauce to pad Thai. Not very good.
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Brought a party of 10.
We actually had lunch at Sea twice during our stay in Vegas. Both times the food and service was very good. Prices are reasonable. Definitely worth a try.
It was busy and service got off to a slow start ... but once were acknowledged the food and service were great
Food was excellent and the Groupon I had was an incredible value. Only annoyance was one of the bartenders. The lady in leather pants couldn’t have acted more rude or annoyed in dealing with my order during happier hour. Definitely convinced me to not go back for drinks later that night.
We really enjoyed our lunch here. The appetizers and entrees were all very good! The service was excellent!!!
We wanted to eat here because the menu looked affordable, it’s actually not the right menu. The restaurant also made us a no show on open table. The waitress also brought me the wrong meal and wouldn’t correct it.
Not the most athentic Thai cuisine, but not too bad! Service could be a little bit faster.
Lovely restaurant inside Bally's! Especially pleasant ambiance! You can dress up or down and you'd still fitb in! Food was good. Be careful about looking up the menu online since apparently there is another restaurant with the same name but much cheaper prices so you don't want to get disappointed. Great Ginger tea.
Service and food were outstanding. Servers and manager were very attentive.
I was worried because I had seen a few bad reviews for this restaurant just a few days before. BUT this was a FANTASTIC dinner. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and they made a great first impression with ambiance. We made a reservation for dinner for New Years Eve, and they seated us near the water fountain (super nice if you were a couple on a date). We loved the food, they were very accommodating and I cannot believe there was any negative views on this restaurant. We highly recommend for a nice dinner!
New Years Eve dinner was absolutely amazing. The food was fantastic and the service was too. Couldn’t say enough good things about this experience. Would highly recommend it.
Food was delicious. However, it was irritating that the menu was around 30% more expensive than shown on their own website and on OpenTable. The waitress claimed the online menu is for New York only, but that wasn’t true - we had checked the specific Vegas one. The service was very rushed - more like a fast food joint than an expensive restaurant.
We’ve been to the original one in Brooklyn New York and the prices were reasonable. 10 dollars for steamed broccoli that looked like frozen was not a good deal and massaman curry for 23 dollars. Highway robbery.
Restaurant was full with a few people waiting. While I stood at host stand for a few minutes, not one server was seen. Finally one guy rushed up and looked like he was inputting someone's order at the host stand. He never greeted me. I assume he might have been host and he was waiting on customers. They had no tables available even though we had our reservation. Looking around the room, over 1/2 had no food yet. We ended up cancelling at the host stand since he was the only one in sight. I think they were terribly understaffed. We saw that at several restaurants this Xmas week in Vegas.
Amazing food at middle of the range prices. Impeccable service! Ask for a table near the fountain, its worth it.
Small restaurant, food was good . Staff were nice .worth the trip
We had a reservation Christmas Eve, when we showed up no one at the hostess stand even acknowledged us. We were seated at a wooden table with bench like seating, cute enough but 5 minutes in, very uncomfortable, they need cushions. Our server had earbuds in and didn’t say a word to us when he brought water, then after 10 minutes of wondering who our server actually was, we flagged him down and asked if we could order a glass of wine, he looked surprised and said he was going to another table first and would be back... ok, well maybe he could have stopped to mention that he was busy and he’d be right back. When he came back to take our order he still had earbuds in, I was wondering if he could even hear me because he didn’t acknowledge what I was ordering? The whole experience was just strange. The food is pretty good but I ordered 4 star and I don’t think it was even a 1 Star. The entrees are 25.00 dollars for phad Thai and Cashew chicken, so for that price I expected this food to really impress but no such luck.. so overall if you’re looking for a good Thai restaurant that is comfortable with good service and priced comparatively with other Thai restaurants, I would definitely look elsewhere.
Overall, it was a great dining experience. Service and food were on point. The only downside to this place is not the fault of the restaurant, but the prices need to be updated on OpenTable. The prices for the food at the restaurant are at least $10 higher than listed here. It needs to be updated. Despite this, I still would recommend it to any foodie with an Asian, Thai, and Vietnamese preferences.
EXCELLENT Thai food - this is a must-visit spot that you would never guess was tucked away in a casino. Quiet and lovely ambiance. Excellent and attentive service. Multiple vegetarian options and delicious flavors. I recommend the drunken noodles - extra spicy!
Our coconut shrimp was outstanding. My husband ordered the pineapple chicken fried rice which was good, I ordered the spicy crispy duck salad. It was spicy!!! However the duck was beyond crispy and was very dried out and tough. Their website drew me in with the featured cocktail "Butterfly" but sadly it's only in their Brooklyn, N Y location that they make it. Not sure we'll try it again.
Wonderful ambiance, superb service and great food! Drunken noodles and lettuce wraps were really good. Large portions too.
Expensive and Thai food doesn’t taste up to its standard. Especially if the price of a Pas thai is 30 bucks
Food was ok, but very overpriced. Waitresses made mistakes at the time of bringing the food. We got food from other clients and our order came mess up.
We were disappointed by the lack of flavor in the food. We asked for it to be very spiced and it was not at all. Additionally, someone ordered the garlic chicken and it just tasted like they poured salt and soy sauce and that’s it. There were also large chunks of uncooked garlic.
Finally, the meals do not come with rice and the prices were more than those on the online menu. Our meal ended up being atleast 10 dollars per person more than we expected. I have never paid anywhere close to this for Thai food.
Also, they do not offer pork!?
We ordered crispy calamari, chicken satay, grilled shortribs, chicken massaman curry,2 jasmine rice, cuban cocktail and a glass of riesling all for $122 plus tip.
Food is very tasty and service is very friendly. Our second time in this place and will definitely be back!!!!
They only give you forks so we had to specifically request knives. We ordered calamari, fried rice with shrimp, and drunken noodles with shrimp. The calamari tasted like microwaved frozen calamari and lacked seasoning. The sauce that comes with the calamari was inedible. The fried rice and drunken noodles were so-so, except the shrimp was again so tough that it tasted like reheated leftovers or microwaved frozen seafood. I would not return. Better options available on the strip.
Great Date Night!
I purchased a Groupon for Sea and it was a great deal. $45 for $78 worth of food wasnt too shabby. Anything over that price was added to the bill. We are Brooklyn natives and frequented the original restaurant in Williamsburg often so we expected nothing but good food. The food was well prepared, hot and very flavorful. My wife had a shrimp, scallop and tilapia fish while I dined on Teriyaki Salmon. We shared an order of crab fried rice. We cleaned our plates! Our servers were so warm and friendly and very attentive. Our table was serviced without making us feel bothered. It was an intimate setting but good for a family affair, night out with friends or a small group meeting. We will definitely be back!!
great tasting authetic thai food. only thing is the serving portion can be better
Does not offer great value for the food quality it provides
It was great food was amazing and it was such a beautiful and relaxing ambiance
Food is authentic and very good!
Great Service, Food and Atmosphere! Creative Menu & Appetizers. Recommend wines by the bottle vs. glass - better value! Cocktails were very unique and perfect for the overall ambience! Great for small groups or casual rendezvous. Nice escape from the Vegas scene!
