Sea Shore Restaurant & Marina
Food was amazing. Staff was perfect. Thank you to Manny and Peter for making our dinner so much more special.
With the craziness of the coronavirus going on, they took exceptional effort to sanitize and cover their hands. Made me feel safe eating and of course the food was fantastic. Great job everyone
Beautiful view of the sunset
Food was delicious
Date was awesome!
Staff and service was good. Food was just average and overpriced. Will try another restaurant on my next trip to City Island.
Great food as usual and the staff was so accommodating and super nice. Will be going back again!
Met cousins there last night for dinner. Had a 7 PM reservation, place was packed but they sat us by 7:05, which I thought was perfect. Food as always, great, large portions, you can never walk out of the Sea Shore hungry. Service, again as always, great!!!
Delicious food and great service. We had a 7:00 pm reservation, but didn’t get seated for about 40 minutes.
This visit, my shrimp scampi was delish and cooked perfectly, so was the pasta that came with it. The Sea Shore salad was also delish along with the breads and relish tray. My Mom's "Wild" salmon over spinach was clearly farm-raised and just "meh", not tasty at all.
We have been coming to the Sea Shore for many, many years. It was New Years Day, and I believe the restaurant was short-staffed. The food is always top notch. However, on this day the service was very, very slow. I believe our dinner took 2.5 hours from start to finish!
Always delicious! Love the complimentary cheese and veg platter and corn bread! Seafood cannot be beat.
consistently good food and service. Never leave here hungry..lots of choices on the menu
The restaurant is usually not noisey, but Christmas day was extremely busy. We were seated immediately. The view from all tables is the water. Had 2 lobsters, king crab legs and baked clams - 2 salads - 2 sides delicious. Enjoyed our meal for 3 hr feast. Highly recommend eating here anytime.
Had a very pleasant experience . We decided to have our Xmas party at this establishment and was pleasantly surprised.
Beautiful views, great table and wonderful service. Food was great as always.
Dinner with friends for Christmas
Wonderful Service and Fresh food. We will be returning :))
This restaurant is one of my family’s favorites especially for special occasions. This time we were celebrating our daughter’s birthday and they made it memorable from the balloons to the delicious complimentary tiramisu. Our server Elizabeth was so sweet and accommodating. Everything was delicious except for the fried filet of sole which was unfortunately inedible. Just a warning...don’t fill up too much on the warm bread, cornbread, relish tray and house salad or you won’t have room for your main course!
Overall Enjoyed. Service and food good. Friendly staff.
The food was outstanding and was decently priced. The service was also great – everyone was very friendly and they were all quick and attentive. On top of that, our seats overlooked the water! Overall, definitely one of my favorite places to eat.
Service was super-slow ... kitchen was apparently to blame. Wait staff and management were very apologetic. Fortunately for them -- those at our table were engaged in very lively conversation and having a great time despite the delay in getting our entrees ... which were somewhat disappointing when they finally arrived. The seafood risotto was soupy; the twin lobsters had soft-ish shells and over-priced; medium rare seared tuna arrived well done ... and had to be replaced. Complementary drinks and dessert were offered. But it was such a contrast to a very satisfying previous visit. This Oct 6 experience may have been a one-off so I may give the Sea Shore another chance to redeem itself!
Great lobsters Garlic bread. Fresh salad and perfect dirty martini 🍸
Service was friendly, and the portions are large. Entrees come with salad, lots of fresh bread and a cold antipasto plate. Entrees themselves are not great though. Fish was dry and seafood was too. I wouldn’t go back for entrees. A bunch of appetizers, maybe, but not entrees.
More attention from our waiter would have been helpful. Otherwise, the experience was great!
Never disappoints. I have been going here since I was a little girl.
Always a go to when in City Island...I guess one reason would be their location. This restaurant is the first thing you'll see once you get there. Second, there's no wait. Food is always in abundance, taste is a hit or miss. Wait staff rushes to get your order. Ambiance is not for romantic setting.
My sons favorite place for crab. This place is definitely our summer getaway.
Always fresh and delicious seafood. The ladies at the door are nice and welcoming, while the servers are friendly and genuine. The Lobster Fra Diavolo is one of the best around.
On a summer August evening, having dinner outside on their outdoor deck is a real treat. Beautiful setting. Food was average and well-overpriced. The quality of the food is good, but the way it was cooked and prepared was not to my liking. The fish was smothered in creams and sauces which overwhelmed what was a nice piece of fish. We chose rice for a side and it was Spanish-style rice, I would much prefer a lightly seasoned brown or white rice. I haven't seen prices like this in many of my trips to Manhattan restaurants, so pricey to say the least. Wait staff was very attentive and proficient. All in all an enjoyable summer evening.
Food was very good. Broiled seafood platter for two should have been bigger.
Valet Parker was nasty!
What terrific seafood selection at this riverfront venue! Beautiful setting, excellent meal presentation and very helpful service. This would be a terrific place for lunch or dinner ... with great views! Valet parking was less than ideal but better than no parking. I would go back again and again.
Excellent food. Had the 1 1/2 lobster steamed. The best I've eaten in a long time. They have a nice bread plate and crudites platter. Even the mac and cheese was outstanding, very creamy. My granddaughter didn't leave one morsel behind. Very pricey, but I knew that going in so was prepared. Treat yourself!
The Sea Shore was the perfect place for our farewell luncheon with a colleague.
Had lobster steamed.
I always order it.
This lobster had the hardest shell I ever encountered. Ten attempts to crack each claw. I told the waiter. He said sorry. Also this was the second time the inside of the lobster was not warm, but cool. I was so exhausted just trying to crack it. Disappointing. That's the last time I order steamed lobster. My guess is they precious them and leave them aside to cool.
Sea Shore was recommended by a friend. My granddaughter wanted seafood for her birthday. I made the reservation and my experience was positive, from entering the parking lot for valet. Will surely recommend to others.
First, I want to thank the restaurant for honoring our reservations. We were delayed by an accident (not ours) that meant a detour and 1/2 hour extra before we got to the restaurant. We called to alert them to our delay, and they agreed to change our arrival time. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving.
Service was a bit slow, and a long delay getting our entrees, but I chalk it up to it being a Saturday night and they were very busy. I also think they were short staffed. Our waiter had to clear our plates between courses and refill water, services usually done by an assistant. Our total time spent was almost 2 1/2 hours from arrival to leaving, including 1/2 hour just to get the check.
Food was good, would have given them 5 stars but my husband's fried oysters, while excellent, seemed like an appetizer portion. My halibut was great, and large enough I took half home. The relish tray, bread and salad were lovely. Probably why I couldn't finish my entree. And we wanted to try their desserts. We split the chocolate cake, and still couldn't finish it, but took most of it home. The slice was huge!
Food was on point! Awesome service ..Highly recommended for bdays and anniversary. Very roimantic view of the bay.
Anniversary lunch. Great service. Food was great and the outside seating was spectacular. Our favorite restaurant. We always come here to celebrate a special event
