We used to visit sit this restaurant for beautiful beachside setting, but frankly not for the food - which was average.
The good news is that the food is now much, much better! I recommend choice of 2 fish, cooked in your choice of 4 different ways. Delicious 😋
We sort of stumbled upon Sea House our first night in Kapalua - what a gem - at least on the evening we dined there. Vladimir was our waiter. Exceptional guy and great service - he really knew the menus and made excellent suggestions regarding the fresh fish of the day. Food and drink was as beautiful as the sunset. We hope to return on our next visit to Maui
My wife ordered MahiMahi and I ordered the ribeye. My meal was very good, her meal was not very good (tasted like old fish). Server was not very attentive and we had to ask for bread service. For the prices charged, I would recommend Merriman or Malas before seahouse.
Beautiful location, very nice dinner!!
We love this place. Been coming for 14 years. The best sunsets on the island. The best seafood. The beach is great, body surfing on a sandy beach.
View was amazing ! Service was great ! And the food was fabulous !!
We go there at least once each trip to Maui. It never disappoints.
Beautiful sunset decent food. No rolls given to us..horrible service.. plates ordered-dropped down and never saw our waiter again
Great location, Fantastic View! Exceptional service. The food was delivered almost immediately.
Great experience. On the ocean dining! Food, ambiance and service were superb!
They ran out of the daily special- food was not that good service was slow and because it was so dark couldn’t see anything outside. Parking is horrible and walk ways to parking lot not lit. Not very customer friendly.
Server was rushing us repeatedly, didn't even explain what the fish for the evening were or collect everyone's drink order. Food was good but there is definitely better on the island for a more reasonable price.
The food was overpriced and over-rated. Service was above average. Very noisy setting.
Hostess was not a happy person. Did not great or smile. Asked if we had a reservation, yes with open table. Gave us a table in a corner, nowhere near a view table which many were available. Waitress was down right rude until she dropped off the bill, then sweet as could be. I work in the hospitality industry, this is a perfect example of how to not treat guests!
A very special dinner while on vacation! Awesome in every way.
We love Sea House and make it a staple of our annual trip to Maui. The food is amazing and the view.... well don’t tell anyone or the secret will surely get out. This year for the first time we took our children (7 & 11) to what we consider a fancy dinner. For the first time in as long as I can remember, they made it through the evening without a handheld electronic. This was all thanks to our awesome waiter John. He was the perfect compliment to the ambience and lobster tails. See you next year!
Loved the atmosphere and walk to the restaurant. The food was very good. Our server left a lot to be desired.
Last night on Maui!
Excellent food and service despite being very busy. The lobster msc and cheese is awesome and so was the panko fish and the macadamia crusted Hawaiian fish. I'd highly recommend. Plus you can't beat the view in the daylight.
A beautiful setting and fabulous food. The service was excellent.
Dined here 30 years ago on our honeymoon. As good as we remember, and the view is spectacular, especially if you can time your meal for sunset.
Overall not at all the same level of service or quality of food compared to the past few years. Drinks over poured. Brought wrong Fish selection to table then passed plates around when questioned why monchong order was presented with Mahi. Had to argue to get correct entree after it was sent back to chef 3 times. We live in Florida, eat both fish all the time, and can clearly recognize the difference! Additionally my son who also ordered monchong, had his entree presented with s pick to differentiate other 3 orders (2 were supposed to be mahi and 2 monchong) . Still we had to argue despite the same appearance of monchong and mahi orders. No we are not stupid, and no we are not blind!!!! Ridiculous. Then when the waiter plucked the pick from my sons fish, he splattered grease all over his Tommy Bahama silk shirt. Had to ask 3 times for club soda. Never had water refilled without asking repeatedly. Food quality definitely not up to par compared to last year. Went to celebrate our Anniversary with family, unlike years past, it was not acknowledged at all despite including in reservation. Despite the beautiful views, we will no longer be dining at the Sea House. Very disappointing.
Always a beautiful sunset and a panoramic view of the bay. Great for pictures. Local entertainers every night. Good food with creative twists. Unique Ceasar's salad, oil and vinegar aspects. We go back every year. Be sure to visit on a prime rib night. Mac nut crusted Maui mahi is a classic.
We had just finished a family photo shoot at Kapalua Beach and needed dinner for 4 adults and 2 very tired 5year olds. We showed up early for our reservations and were quickly accomodated. All of the staff was friendly, service was quick, and our food was delicious. The dining room is open to a beautiful ocean-front view. This was a great family place and we will add it to our list of “go to” spots.
40th anniversary for my parenrs
We enjoyed our meal at Seahouse. The service could have been better.
Our favorite restaurant in Maui. Atmosphere and views are unbeatable. Would highly recommend.
Just ok. Had to ask for a waiter to take our drink order. Great cocktails but the food was average.
Beautiful setting. Surprised by how noisy it was - not the peaceful beachside we were hoping for. Food was quite good, but opting for the Early Bird special was probably a mistake. Nice to hear good live music as well.
Great food at a good price. Beautiful setting on the beach.
Beautiful Oceanview dinning with friendly attentive service. Mac crusted fish was delicious
A dependable sunset beachfront restaurant. Make a reservation and enjoy. John is the best, a real pro server. Poke nachos are awesome. Excellent cocktails.
Very humid. No AC. Excellent food and drinks.
We were disappointed to see that the menu provided on Opentable was very old and none of the items we wanted were available. The food was okay, but there are better options in the area.
A no frills but delicious restaurant right on the beach! Thoroughly enjoyed the meals we had here!
Strong recommendation. Food and service are wonderful and atmosphere is relaxed - reminds you why you came to Maui (and to Napili Kai). Pricing is "resort-reasonable" with good options at a variety of price points. Family-friendly, although young kids will feel more at home at breakfast and lunch than at dinner. Especially nice dinner spot for couples - soft light, live music, ocean waves and breezes. Menu is strong at breakfast, lunch and dinner - everything we had was fresh, tasty and creative.
It's been 5 years since our last visit. Food was as good as I remember.
Restaurant was busy! Be sure to make reservations, especially for the sunset. We always love the coconut shrimp. The service was good and the meals were solid. Bananas foster I dessert duo was yummy.
Always our first night dinner when we get to Napili.
Run down food was bland. This place needs a complete overhaul. The service was poor took forever to get the check. Waiter forgot one of the appetizers brought it out just before the entree’s came out. Was here a couple of years ago loved it but would not go back here again.
