Sea Fire Grill Ratings and Reviews
Food was excellent as was service. An error was made with my friend's lunch in that an ingredient she was allergic to was added (it was not listed on the menu and was an unusual item for the dish). They made her a whole new dish very quickly and gave us each a glass of wine and dessert on the house. Crab cake is fabulous -- all crab, no filler. Grilled calamari is wonderful and the appetizer size is quite large.
I’d love to leave a good review as the food was delicious and the hostess excellent, the table service was not bad BUT the bar was terrible and our table was delayed by about an hour. After being asked to wait and have a drink at the bar (which was fine) we lost patience 30 mins later when we STILL didn’t have a drink. The bartender was sullen at best and frankly even though they were understaffed and overbooked the staff need to realise that it isn’t the fault of the guests! I really want to say I would recommend this place but if I did it would come with huge warnings!
our waiter, Jaime was outstanding. The manager Victor was also extremely professional. They made an error on our oysters and gave us 6 free then brought the wrong dessert at end of meal and didnt charge us as well. Noisy venue, food was good, not outstanding...
The menu was excellent, ambiance great and food was very good. But the service was over-the-top. I am trying to remember when I have ever had such great service. The server was outstanding in delivery and care for our experience. I was very impressed. The management also took care to make sure we had a great experience. Great job.
Excellent and charming service- even pleasantly accommodated us on a very busy night when one of our party got delayed. The menu is innovative, without trying to hard to be trendy. Excellent selections of drinks and wines. Food was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious- and served hot!
Impeccable and friendly service. Varied choices. The scallop and lobster salad appetizers were light and tasty. Dorado special and yellowfin tuna portions size able and also prepared light and delicious. Wonderful dining experience. Would definitely go back.
Upscale restaurant in midtown Manhatten. Food and service were excellent. The surprise was the friendly, accomodating environment.(Again, this is midtown , Manhatten.) From the hostesses to the waiter to the Maitre'D, we were treated in a fashion that will result in a return the next time we are in NYC.
Nice restaurant. Had prime corner table. Unfortunately the air conditioner blasted constantly on us. It was a known issue and the manager did turn it down a little but really didn't help. The Branzino was excellent. The tuna tartar fair-- no flavor. The dover sole was very good.
After all the great reviews I was sure Sea Fire Grill would be a great choice . Every year me and my girlfriend take turns finding great restaurants to take each other and they did not disappoint . The service was great, the ambiance was very romantic and warm , and the food was delicious . The drinks were a bonus as well as dessert. We will definitely visit again and I will recommend this place highly . The manager was walking around greeting guests and accommodating requests and was very friendly as well. This is a great establishment .
Ambiance in the restaurant was lovely ... greeted and sat immediately even though we were early for our reservation. Our waiter was attentive just the right amount for a nice quiet dinner for two. The Lobster Bisque was delicious, as was the oysters (east coast) that my husband ordered. Our entrees (both surf and turf) were cooked to perfection, and just the right amount of seafood to accompany a large filet. The only thing missing was some drawn butter to dip the seafood into!! That would have made the meal absolute perfection!! We also ordered two sides, the creamed spinach (yummy) and herbed fries - which were surprisingly delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant to people visiting NYC and looking for a spacious table and quiet, relaxing atmosphere for dining!! Bravo!
We had a great evening dining at this restaurant. First, it's not cheap. With that said, the service is impeccable and you really felt well taken care of by the excellent staff. Our drinks were creative and Excellent. Most at our table had fish but one had steak. All were expertly prepared and adequately portioned.
We will be back when we are in city again
Service was average. All the food was very good , however my husband's steak was well done he ordered medium. My son and I had to wait while they prepared him another one. The side dishes were cold by the time his steak arrived. The manager came to apologize which was appreciated but not enough. He should have brought new side dishes and perhaps I feel should have offered us a drink or dessert for the inconvience
The prices were high, but expected for a high end restaurant. The food didn't match the prices however. Very bland in my opinion. The ambiance was very nice for a special occasion dinner, but server had to be reminded that it was a special occasion even though I told them it was my birthday when the reservation was made. The server seemed to be in a rush to leave. Had even unbuttoned his shirt and removed his tie before the checks came. I was quite disappointed.
Alex seated us and Tom was our server. My husbands onion allergy was accomodated with ease. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We were treated like family. Very comfortable seating and wondrful food. Loved it! We will be back the next time we are in NYC.
