I reached 35 min early hoping we would get a table on time . Well the martyr d said we would get table by 7:30 which was our reserve time - well it was 7:40 I did not get the table. I went up to her and she said oh yes we will take you to table now. If I had not gone to herbage would not have reached me out.. lousy service from that point
The server was not paying attention food was good but service was too the value
Expensive but okay
I made a reservation for one. Staff was phenomenal - and I requested a quick meal. I had the swordfish club with chips and a simple lemon water. Everything was perfect. It was slightly noisy, but not as loud as some of the other reviews. I was able to have short communications with everyone from the host, busser, waitstaff, and manager. The chairs were rather comfortable, and the table was not too high or too low, something valuable to a short person like myself. I appreciated the somewhat soft bright lighting for a dreary day in the city, and was able to relax between business meetings easily. Bathrooms were very clean, which is always appreciated!
Outstanding food, very well organized with minimal waiting time. A little close-quarter seating; but they made it work.
The food was outstanding and the service was as well
This little gem in midtown has a great ambiance. There is a fireplace in the back and they played soothing Bossa nova while we dined. They have a great wine list. The service is great and the food is great. The waiters were very friendly. The plating was elegant and the flavors were great. Classy spot. Would recommend and would definitely dine again.
We had a reservation & still waited over 30mins for our table which is disappointing. The hostesses were not helpful w giving a timetable as to when out table would possibly be ready and were not the friendliest. Food was good, servers were attentive and nice.... very loud restaurant so hard to hold a conversation. Great coffee.
Not sure if we will be back- there's just too many choices in the area w great food who actually honor your reservation time & don't make you feel bad when you ask when your table will be ready.
The wait was a bit long (with a reservation). The host explained it was 2 large parties take up most of the table. The food was very good. I had Lobster Bisque (could’ve added some spice) for appetizer. Steak for 2 (medium well), Lobster Mac n Cheese, and sautéed Mushrooms for entree. No desert. Beside the young lady that threw her drink in her husband face and him ripping her wig off her head, it was a nice place to eat. Will recommend.
After a stressful flight from LA to NY in a snowstorm, and having to make last minute arrangements for a hotel in New York, we walked out of the hotel a few steps at 9:30 PM and entered the inviting Sea Fire Grill, where all the stress from the day was quickly melted away by the ambience, friendliness and wonderful food we received. This is a classic New York restaurant, where service and atmosphere are matched by superbly prepared food. Having lived in N.Y. Many years ago, and in LA for more than 40 years, we realized how much we missed this type of restaurant. The Maitre d’ and service staff were exemplary and made a stressful and tiring day a delightful evening. We would return, even if we weren’t staying next door! Highly recommended!
Omg !!! I cannot day enough about this place . Absolutely fabulous !!!! From beginning to end . People there are very welcoming they always checked up on us . The food was delicious we were so stuffed when we left ! And since it was my husbands bday they gave up complimentary 10 year old wine along with cake and ice cream ! I thought that was the best . I can’t forget the best waiter in the world Benson !!!!! You rockkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice place . Until next time
Food was amazing. Lenny was very helpful and kind. The manager kept checking up on us and offering if we needed anything more.
We loved the food. Very creative. Best martini I have had in a long time. Nice wine list. Service was great. The back room was very loud when we first arrived. Most of the loudness coming from one table. When they left it was much better, but still a little on the loud side. Overall we loved the restaurant.
I really enjoy the place from the minute we walk into the restaurant. The food was delicious. Our waiter was Jaime. Which he complete our night, very professional and friendly. Gave me a very good recommendation with my main entrees. I wasn’t disappointed at all. I will return again to the restaurant and also recommend to some friends.
Seemed rushed. Wonderful room. Good but not great food for the price.
Spectacular on every level
Very nice atmosphere, our meals were very, very good.
Good was excellent. Service was better. Portions were small for the cost. It is a typical midtown corporate power restaurant.
Wonderful service and amazing food. The best lobster I have ever had. Perfectly prepared.
As usual in the Benjamin chain, they make you feel like family. It’s a pleading to dine there
Sea Fire is always a wonderful dining experience. Really great atmosphere for a date. Whether you choose seafood or steak it i a great dining experience with first rate service.
Enjoyable, excellent food and service. Ari, our server was quite accommodating and attentive, contributing to the total enjoyment of our experience.
Birthday dinner for Mom....... our first time here / restaurant was Amazing...Food & Service were fabulous...people treated us great from the minute we walked in until we left.....we eat out often, believe me this is a first class restaurant!!
Service was excellent and the food was exquisite. We ordered the specials and were very pleased. Special thanks to our waiter, Milton, for paying attention to details.
Unfortunately, the food and drinks are way overpriced compared to the quality. The crab cake was just average and the truffle mashed potatoes were too thick and pasty. The NY strip steak was good but my wife’s filet mignon was dry and not flavorful. The two drinks we had at the bar prior to seating cost almost $40. Our total bill was about $300 for three drinks, one appetizer and two entrees. Not worth it.
Service was fantastic. Ori and Ari made a great team. Fresh pasta with crab definitely will have again. The striped bass special was also top notch.
From the service to the food... everything was just perfect!
Thank you Tom for being best waiter ever!
We will definitely go back soon!
I had such an amazing experience at The Seafire Grill. Great 👍🏽 food. Beautiful decor and atmosphere. Impeccable service 💯⭐️
It’s expensive with small portions buut the food tastes great
This restaurant was underwhelming. The food was great but the service failed to deliver. My wife and I enioy sitting at the bar to eat but I don’t recommend it here. The bar seems to be for drinking only while waiting on your table. As I said the food was excellent. The octopus could have had a bit more seasoning but was good and the crab cake was excellent. The wine list caters to the high end with very few reasonably priced options for robust reds. Food prices are also on the high side with salads pushing $20 and all entrees running 30 to 50.
Sea Fire Grill is NYC dining at it's absolute finest! Visiting NYC for a weekend getaway, the Sea Fire Grill was the perfect place for a romantic (and delicious!) dinner!! The service is top-notch - every need to is attended to by a variety of staff members and this certainly sets Sea Fire apart from many other restaurants in NYC and elsewhere. The meals were delicious with generous portions. Great wine selection. We got a table by the cozy fireplace and we really felt like VIP's throughout the whole experience!! Book a reservation via OpenTable now!!
This was our fifth time here. We always enjoy the quality and freshness of the food. The staff is very courteous, and knowledgeable of the menu.
Excellent quality seafood in a lovely setting. Service is very professional and waiter was knowledgable about the menu. We were seated in a timely manner. We were four people and each of us had a different entree, tuna, halibut, grouper special and a lobster. Everyone enjoyed their selections which were beautifully presented and delicious. This was our second time at Sea Fire Grill and we will definitely return.
Birthday for my son.It was a busy Saturday night but I didn’t feel rushed. The waiter and Host were very nice. The food was exceptional and the waiter helped guide us
Based on our preferences. We will definitely be back.I did have to discretely ask the Host to bring a special dessert for my sons B Day with a candle and he acknowledged after I spoke to him that he did see that on the reservation but he never mentioned it until I mentioned it.No big deal.It is very pricey but worth it for the right occasion
Made me sick... Great meal with great service... they lose a star by making me sick... spent a decent chunk of change on romantic dinner and have spent the whole rest of the evening in the bathroom... surf and turf is killing me
Awesome, awesome, awesome!! Such a fun night with absolutely delicious food and an energetic, engaging, friendly staff! Ben (bartender) and Nick (waiter) we're delightful and added so much to our overall experience!! Can't wait to return whenever we get back to the city from Mobile, AL.
The first girl that greeted us (Anna) was amazing, her attention to detail and her politeness goes beyond this earth! Our server Lenny was also amazing as he explained every dished perfectly and added some humor in there as well! Love this place!
The food and service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and really made an effort to make our dining experience special.
Sea fire grill had a romantic, cozy ambiance. Our server was very attentive considering the time we had to get to our show. The food was also just amazing. I would highly recommend this for a date night.
I went here with a few co workers, and we really were not impressed. The fish was pretty dry, and everything just extremely creamy. I wouldn't dine here again, I'd only come here for drinks.
To their credit: the service was very good and attentive. Comfortable dining room. Nice vibe.
To their detriment: WAY TOO SALTY! I got the seared yellowfin. He got the blackened swordfish. Mine was seared perfectly, but was swimming in a bowl of soy sauce and not much else. So salty it was inedible. His swordfish was also cooked just right, but then overseasoned with a blackening seasoning that was, also, mostly salt.
The manager was extremely gracious, and staff was apologetic. But the food was beyond redemption, and at the end of the day, dining out is really about the FOOD, isn't it?
