It may take a bit after your reservation to be seated, but once you are it is worth it! Just went here for my boyfriend's birthday and we are so glad we did! We ordered a bottle of sparkling rosé that was delicious. With your bread at the beginning of the meal, in addition to the typical olive oil and balsamic and butter, there is also a lovely whitefish spread. Highlights of the meal were definitely the oysters, the pan roasted scallops, and the truffle burrata. He loved the halibut he ordered and the creme brûlée was also delicious. Hoping to come back some time soon!

Took my wife for a birthday lunch. Despite the mostly business crowd the mood was intimate and the food was fantastic.

Although I visited at the appointed time, I was kept waiting near the entrance for over 30 minutes. I requested a quiet table seat in advance and promised to guide me to the table seat if I waited 15 minutes at reception. But waiting for over 30 minutes, the guidance was a seat near the bar near the entrance. We were told that the seat near the bar could be announced at the arrival. I waited for 15 minutes and thought that I would like to eat at the table seat, but waited for half an hour I was told that table seat is impossible. It's a terrible service restaurant.

Beautiful place, loud as restaurant fills, food was tasty, got surprised by being served ice-cream and a "happy Birthday " cookie without staff being asked to do so by my dining partner. Watch out for specials pricing 3x the average entree price came with no veggies or sides. Martinis with blue cheese stuffed olive was great.

20th anniversary dinner at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We're so happy we chose to eat here. The did everything they could to make our experience special. Thank you to the staff for making our night special. The food was delicious, filets prepared perfectly and the Brussels sprouts were to die for.

25 minute wait for our table. Bar area was packed with a very loud crowd. Noise level was uncomfortable. The noise carried to the dining room and several diners were very loud. This was our fifth visit and the the halibut was dry and the striped bass lacked taste. The only bright spot was the raw oysters. The experience was so bad that we skipped dessert as did several other tables around us. We won't be returning.

Date night for a married couple that was able to get away for a night without kids. Amazing food! New favorite in NYC. Benson, our waiter, was great. We had halibut, oysters, grilled calamari, lobster bisque, and octopus.

Excellent choice for a client dinner. Superb seafood, perfectly prepared, served by attentive and helpful staff. And it is a breath of fresh air to be presented with a well balanced wine list with excellent wines at all price points, and a server who recommends based on quality, not markup. This was my second meal here, and I will certainly be back.

We chose Sea Fire Grill because of the menu and weren't disappointed. The atmosphere was lively with lots of holiday revelers from Rockefeller Center. Our waiter, Ari, was excellent and we enjoyed his service. A good time was had by all.

Our family was seated within a few minutes upon arrival. We had a corner round table that was perfect for conversation. Service was impeccable from start to finish. One of our dinners has a serious gluten allergy; the attitude of the staff and our waiter was appropriate and sincere. Every person selected something different... the food was outstanding to say the least; filets could be practally cut with a fork, and were succulent with flavor. The halibut was fresh, prepared perfectly with a wonderful lemon butter flavor. We enjoyed our Christmas family dinner with great joy!

We chose the Sea Fire Grill based on other reviews, and we were definitely not disappointed! The food was excellent, particularly the tuna tartare. There's a reason why this place has been rated the best seafood in the city!

I’ve now been twice in the last year. Both times were excellent - the atmosphere, staff, service, and the food! Plan to go back every time I’m in NYC. My companions loved it as well.

Nice menu. Food was good. Tables not too close together. Attentive staff, without being intrusive. A little pricey, but, that's New York :)

My boyfriend and I were visiting from Toronto and chose to celebrate our anniversary at Sea Fire Grill. From the moment we walked in we were greeted promptly and with incredible hospitality. Our server Tom went above and beyond to make our experience special. The food was amazing I can’t even begin to explain how perfect everything was. We will be coming back next time we visit NYC!

How someone can rate this place a 1 star is beyond me. Surely, it has to be a person with an interest in some other seafood restaurant, because it just doesn't seem possible. Perhaps the rater had a bad night.

If you want great seafood and don't mind paying for it, this is an excellent choice. The service was top notch, too, so you really can't go wrong. I had shrimp cocktail, pretty basic you might say, but these were extra large and cooked perfectly. A Bibb salad, pretty basic, once again. But you have to try it to see the difference. It's the balsamic they use and the goat cheese. For the entree, it was blackened sea bass, in a mix of a small salad, done to near perfection. With a nice bottle of Sonoma chardonnay, it was a terrific dinner. I highly recommend the restaurant.

Came with high expectations. Stunning quite , and romantic. Stops there. Over priced, waiters pushed expensive items, food was mediocre at best. Steak was inedible. Insulting to anyone but a tourist. Can afford anywhere, happy to pay for quality and taste.,would never recommend or revisit.

Food was excellent as was service. An error was made with my friend's lunch in that an ingredient she was allergic to was added (it was not listed on the menu and was an unusual item for the dish). They made her a whole new dish very quickly and gave us each a glass of wine and dessert on the house. Crab cake is fabulous -- all crab, no filler. Grilled calamari is wonderful and the appetizer size is quite large.

Service was attentive & some dishes had interesting preparation, particularly the sea bass. Only complaint, significant for a seafood house is that everyone's fish was overcooked.

I’d love to leave a good review as the food was delicious and the hostess excellent, the table service was not bad BUT the bar was terrible and our table was delayed by about an hour. After being asked to wait and have a drink at the bar (which was fine) we lost patience 30 mins later when we STILL didn’t have a drink. The bartender was sullen at best and frankly even though they were understaffed and overbooked the staff need to realise that it isn’t the fault of the guests! I really want to say I would recommend this place but if I did it would come with huge warnings!
