Superbly fresh and seasoned seafood. Beautiful restaurant. Thank you for the memorable meal.
On this return visit, we found the restaurant frenetically busy and noisy. Service was polite but perfunctory; food was good overall, though one diner’s fish was undercooked. Bottom line, disappointingly: an ok upscale place to eat, but not dine.
I have been to the Grill a number of times and have never been disappointed.
My sister and I took my mom out for Mother's Day. I had the Halibut, my mom had they NY steak and my sister had the crabmeat pasta. For dessert I had the Creme Brulee and my mom had the cheesecake with blueberry sauce. Overall everything was on point. The waiters were so pleasant. At the end of our meals the mother's received a $50 gift card to return and I must say I'm excited about going back. I honestly cannot wait.
Polished service and relaxing atmosphere paired with artfully crafted dishes makes The Sea Fire Grill a must for any fans of seafood.
OMG. So good! Best filet mignon, lobster mac & cheese and molten dessert. Yum!
Really loved this place. Great food and greatvservice by Ori.
This is the second time I visited the Sea Fire Grill and I confess to being a little underwhelmed. The service was fine (but not great) and the food was good (but not great and a little overpriced) but the ambience was pretty bad and that's why I don't have any plans to go back. The room in the back has a fire place and I suppose that's nice when it's working but otherwise it's a nondescript room with hideous ceiling lights. I am not a fan of bright restaurants for evening meals but there was something about the poor lighting and the candle on our table that kept going out (but the waitstaff never noticed or didn't care). It felt a bit like eating dinner in a downstairs basement and I found it a bit depressing. Our bill before tip was about $250 so while the food quality and preparation was fine, it didn't feel like it was worth it.
The ambiance and service was amazing. The cuisine was absolutely delicious. Our server Ari was attentive and entertaining. Sea Fire Grill is a well run restaurant. Mario does a terrific job. Thank you for a delightful evening. We will be back soon.
We looked at top seafood restaurants in midtown, and of all the options, Sea Fire Grill rose to a reservation. We could have stopped at appetizers...octopus was amazing (yes, it's like perfectly grilled chicken with the texture of grouper...amazing). But we went on to main courses, too, with lobster mac and cheese for a side (huge...served two easily) The staff was personal, awesome, and made you feel celebrity. We had the hi-top tables water display (Google the pictures). Go for that vs. the main dining room if you want something romantic (although that wasn't our goal, just saying).
The food, ambiance and staff – wow!!!!
We had an 8pm Broadway show, “the Lion King”, got at the restaurant late for our reservation and informed the staff. We were promised that they would do their best to make sure we make it on time for our show. After one of the best dinner I’ve ever had with the ambiance to die for, we made the show on time!!!
Awesome place, worth the price!!!
Food was really good- the evening would have been great if they only would have helped us get a cab back to our hotel. But they didn’t- so it put a damper on the experience
Went to Sea Fire grill for lunch. My wife raves about the filet. I had the prix fix lunch. Couldn’t beat the value!!
We made a last minute reservation based on proximity to our hotel. We had pretty low expectations but were very pleasantly surprised. When we mentioned it the next day to coworkers they replied that they had eaten there in the past and also thought it was great. This appears to be a bit of a hidden gem!
If you want to have any, I repeat: any conversation, for leisure or business, don't go!! They added so many tables to the room that you cannot even understand the screaming waiter telling you the specials. And of course, they did not add any waiters to serve many more patrons, so McDonalds looks like a sanctuary.
Excellent food and presentation. This is must-visit restaurant.
always excellent. every dish you try is always wonderful. A great place for business lunches. though I have not had dinner there I am sure it is quieter than lunch
Wine list needs improvement!
Trying desperately to be something they’re not. It’s a steakhouse that walked out of the 70s and they decided to throw in fish. Oysters were terrible. Server was pushy. Terrible. Never again.
If you like great seafood in a beautiful setting that enhances the outstanding food, this is your place. I visited this place from out of town and was very pleased with food, service, etc. Recommended.
Great place for birthdays party. And other celebrations.
Ori was our waiter and he was excellent. All our needs were met without reservations or hesitation. We will definitely be coming back again.
We were celebrating a girls’ weekend in New York. We had dined the previous year here and wanted to return. Both times we found the service to be friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The food was well prepared and very tasty. We try to get to NY every year and will continue to save one night to dine here
food was great ori was on point everything was just excellent.
super good food and staff.... expensive, but worth it
Great food and service by Edmund. Would recommend it for foodies!
Food was delicious, service attentive but not annoying, and we had a lovely evening.
Food is very good. Very fresh lettuce and seafood. The service is the best.
The service was excellent. People are pleasant, helpful and patience. You cannot ask better than that. The foods are great...really great for the price.
Food was so so
Value hence low
This was a great choice for my birthday weekend. Very intimate dinner atmosphere that I shared with my wife.
We recently had the pleasure of dining at what is among the very best restaurants in Manhattan - the Sea Fire Grill. This was our first time there but will most certainly not be the last. Upon entering you are greeted by a very friendly hostess and escorted to your table in what is undoubtedly one of the most elegantly appointed restaurants in Manhattan. The staff is not only courteous but also very knowledgeable about the food and while not being overbearing, always quickly available to meet your every need. The food clearly among the best we have ever tasted. All in all, this was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had in over 40 years of dining in the best restaurants in NYC. We strongly recommend this to anyone who wants a truly memorable dining experience - and if you are lucky enough to have ORI as your waiter, your evening will be even better. Compliments to the management, the staff and most certainly the Chef.
Wonderful experience. Our company will be back.
It was fantastic. Love it. Food was great. Will visit again.
We enjoyed the lunch there! We will be back again in the near future.
Overall very good
Food , service, ambiance wonderful but a little pricey
Everything was delicious except the Moscow mule. They insisted theirs was good but was not; ice not shaved; some vodka they couldn’t named used. But they happily removed it from our bill.
It was OK. For the price, I'm not sure it was worth it. I didn't find the cuisine to be very inventive...for $45 the salmon was a piece of fish with some flavorless rice. Service was fine and attentive. Not sure I would return though.
Had my birthday dinner here last night. This is the seventh time I’ve been to Sea Fire Grill and I’m never disappointed. The food was amazing and our waiter, Jamie just made the evening that much better. Had a wonderful time and will definitely return
