Our meals were delicious! Our waiter, Jaime, was friendly and very attentive. The sommelier was extremely helpful. Given that this restaurant is named Sea Fire Grill, all four ladies had fish, of course! However they do have other choices. We chose salmon, tuna and 2 branzino, each done perfectly and with pleasant accompaniments. A side of brussel sprouts was shared by all and was deemed a favorite. The wine list is quite comprehensive. The sommelier‘s recommendations were delightful.
Everything outstanding and our server Jamie was great.
Can’t wait to go back!
Food was good and staff is polite. Had the swordfish and squid ink pasta. Dry boat scallops had a good sauce that we used for dipping bread also. All staff at different points of the night wished us a Happy Anniversary.
second time to the restaurant. Loved it both times. Both of us have the octopus and grilled branzino. The fish was butterflied and grill, not one piece of bone ! The octopus was so tender and accompanied with excellent grilled vegetables. Yum!!
This was our third visit. The food and room are outstanding. This restaurant's menu has great breadth. It is possible to get both great fish dishes and also outstanding steaks. The owners also operate the Benjamin Steakhouse, and the meat selections at Sea Fire are not an afterthought. That makes this a great choice for diners who enjoy steak but want something more chic and elegant than the heavy-masculine vibe of a traditional steakhouse. Our party of four all had filet mignons and they were all great. My only reservation about this visit was our waiter, who seemed a little inexperienced and mixed up our steaks, since they were all cooked at different temperatures. This was easily fixed by swapping plates, but at these prices that should not be necessary. Still, I'm ready to come back for a fourth visit.
Went there for resturant week and the food on the restaurant week menu was disappointing. I ordered the octopus for appetizer and found itna bit salty. Had the salmon for entree and it was tasteless.
Very comfortable setting. Service was efficient and courteous, food was delicious. Perfect place for lunch in midtown Manhattan!
Highly recommend this restaurant!
Terrific food, beautifully presented, with an Outstanding Wait Staff!
Oysters excellent, steak is always prepared perfectly and great quality.
My Husband and I were referred to this restaurant by good friends of ours. We were staying at the Lexington Hotel right around the corner. We have eaten at numerous excellent restaurants from Hawaii to Paris! I have to say that the meal we had at the Sea Fire Grill is one of the best meals!!!! From the wine, the appetizers, the main course and especially dessert was one of the BEST meals we’ve ever had!!! Omg! We’re still thinking about it and can’t wait to return! A MUST!!!!
This restaurant was a wonderful find! My husband said the tuna was the best he's ever had, and my father said the same about his martini. The wine list is extensive and has a range of price points, which we appreciated. The service is attentive. We were very pleased with our experience.
This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend and I have thanked her immediately. I wanted a really great place that had a wide selection of seafood and this was the place. The place was nice, the wait staff and the host were amazing and our meals were excellent. I highly recommend this place if you want to have an amazing dinner!
The food (ingredients, especially the fish) was excellent quality but not overly flavorful....halibut could’ve used more spice or lemon or something.
Service was good, but the waiter wasn’t particularly warm and friendly. They gave us a dessert on the house for a birthday (very nice) and we had no complaints.
Would go again, but probably order a little differently by asking for more spices, etc.
Great good superb service. Would definitely recommend this place for any occasion.
Very Good. Went with my family for my Birthday. Expensive, but the food was outstanding!
we visited this place on a thursday night and i think i can speak for both me and my girlfriend in saying that we enjoyed the experience. The ambiance was quite nice with moderate lighting for it to seem almost intimate. I don't ask for much when going to eat so all i look for is decent food and to be checied upon every now again. The service was great to me as far as refilling on my water and making sure we didn't need anything as the night went along. The food was great, we had a i had a porterhouse for two medium well which was pretty good with mac and cheese and garlic mashed potatoes while my girl had lamb chops and string beans. Everything came out fairly quick so we really had no problems. We would definitely come here again.
My first time here and I really enjoyed everything. The restaurant is attractive, the sea food menu delicious, the service professional. Non seafood items also available. I'll be back.
Thanks to Restaurant Week, I was introduced to this excellent restaurant. The food was delicious, the recipes inventive and the service was excellent. I can highly recommend the octopus appetizer, the salmon entree, the bronzino and definitely the lava cake. I’m looking forward to my next visit.
Staff very helpful and friendly; accomodated reservation change request due to canceled trail.
Our waiter, Edmond, was knowledgeable and helpful; fun, too.
great fish selections, delicious lobster nah cheese
The octopus was excellent- very tender and tasty; however the branding was a little bit dry for me. It was my first time . My friend loved her salmon
The food is amazing. It was great that the Sea Fire grill participated in restaurant week because I think otherwise I would have waited for someone to invite me as the restaurant is on the pricier side. I am sure it is worth it though. If you like sea food this is the place to check out. Enjoy.
Our meal was probably the worst I have ever experienced at a Nee York restaurant.
We both ordered swordfish. I ordered mine rare and it came out maybe 3/8 of an inch thick and bone dry.
As an example we ordered cheesecake for dessert with blueberries on top and the blueberries were previously frozen and quick thawed so that they were chewy. Horrible.
Ordered crab cake appetizer and they served one for $27. For an appetizer? And $21 for a beet salad appetizer that was also horrible. Will never ever go back there.
The food was wonderful and the service was good, but although we were at the “quietest table” in the restaurant, we couldn’t hear each other. What’s the point of dining out if you can’t talk to the friends you are with?
Great food, friendly and helpful staff. We was seated and served fast
Been here a number of times for lunch but the evening service was extremely good. Highly recommended.
Excelente restaurante de pescado en muy buena zona de Nueva York. Ideal para cenar en un ambiente elegante y agradable. Muy recomendable
The Sea Fire Grill was recommended to me based on excellent food and outstanding service! It surpassed all expectations. I brought my sister for her birthday and she enjoyed every bit from the appetizer through dessert.
One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in 25 years of going to New York!!! Incredible food and service beyond amazing!!! Sea Fire Grill will become one of our standards!! The best!!
Food was delicious, if not slightly pricey but that's a given for a midtown seafood restaurant. What ultimately made my experience at Sea Fire Grill truly special is its emphasis on the very highest quality service I've had in a NYC restaurant in a long time (and I eat out frequently at what I understand to be some of the city's best restaurants). I don't know who they have running the front of the house and managing their wait staff but he/she is a treasure.
This is still my "go to" restaurant for a great meal - both lunch and dinner. Staff is always so attentive, accommodating, friendly, and always gets things right. The food is amazing! Everything I've ever ordered has been exceptional.
Black sea bass mild,no sauce, paired with tasteless gruel. Chef missed the Mark. Seating for 2 was warehouse steerage, elbows next to next diner, shouting to hear each other. Bad experience.
Service was excellent, food was very good though my friends swordfish was a little bit dry. Very good wine list noise level reasonable, prices typical New York, in other words hi
We came into Manhattan and enjoyed a good time
Service was excellent
Food was also really good
We tried oysters/Calamari/Halibut and Stuffed Lobster
Nice wine menu
A good start to our trip
The food was amazing and the wait staff was very friendly and helpful in deciding what to order.
It was a very pleasant evening. The waiter & food were excellent. Would definitely go back.
First time visit and certainly will not be the last
Service was spot on, food was well presented, tasty, and enjoyable. We were the only New Yorkers in the place and sometimes that’s a good thing!!
Food was excellent, service was courteous & Professional
Tasty fish meal with good wines.😊
Good level of services, caring waiter.
Service was exceptional
