Attentive wait staff! Excellent meal with fresh ingredients.
Superior dining experience. Food selection and quality were excellent. Our waiter and the manager were friendly and accommodating.
A truly wonderful dining experience in a top notch NYC establishment . We definitely will return when visiting New York again.
Great food, service and ambiance. Would certainly go again.
The best seafood restaurant in N
Manhattan! Plus great people.
We loved the Seafire Grill first time so
Much that we brought my daughter and her boyfriend for Mother’s Day. There wasn’t enough staff, they were indifferent. The food was only fair for a lot of money. Certainly wouldn’t rush back there
The food was really good. We took advantage of the Mother's Day Prix Fixe menu which was well worth it. My only complaint is that it was noisier than I would have liked.
Took my mother there for mother's day dinner. My mother is disabled and they refuse to seat us even though we were on time and the table is ready. They refused to seat us because two people in our party have not yet arrived. Really??? My disabled mother is standing right in front of them holding a walking cane and they cannot accommodate a disabled elderly? In my opinion, it is unprofessional, inconsiderate and insensitive. I will never take any of my family and friend there again. There are other much nicer places who would appreciate my business.
The food was very good king crabs and herb fries delicious and so the Mac and cheese was amazing
A very high end restaurant, but the food was rather sub par. For the money, I should have gone somewhere else. I do NOT recommend this place!
We were staying at a hotel nearby and decided to try this restaurant. Excellent sea food and variety of vegetables on the menu were excellent. The salad offerings were "average." Where we were sitting the noise level was moderate and it was easy to have a conversation.
Pricey, but good food and service.Upscale, but crowded. May be typical for New York, but we are not accustomed to this
Great food and great service made for a memorable evening! Jamie was our waiter and was so fun and attentive. All the wait staff made an effort to be extremely accommodating. The seafood was fresh and delicious and the desserts were superb. This will definitely be a place we come back to!
Amazing! Food was stellar. Great night.
Fantastic Lobster at a really good price, wine was really tasty and priced ok.
We had a great experience at Sea Fire Grill. The food was good, the service was attentive but not overbearing. The room is well appointed and the crowd congenial.
I was in NYC for a weekend with friends. Found this restaurant and confirmed with our hotel that it was a great selection. Arrived early for our reservation and the bartender and our waiter was superb. My friend is a light weight when it comes to alcohol drinks so the bartender came over personally for her to describe what she wanted. I love branzino and my girlfriend had never had it although she is a seafood and fish lover. We both loved our meals. The dinner was served quickly (although we were there shortly after the restaurant opened). Our waiter was excellent. I will definitely return to this restaurant and share it with my foodie friends and colleagues who love good eating.
A menu you want to have a bite of every thing they offer. Our server was so attentive and paced the meal perfectly. We opted for many tastings and they accommodated. The smoked fish plate was scrape every drop off the plate. The pickled veggies were so good. The soft shell crab was so good and the steak tartar was like the best meat dinner ever. We loved the wine and finished with a raspberry sorbet. We cannot say enough about how wonderful this estalishment is.
We had a very good dinner. We were a group of 6 people and everyone enjoyed their appetizers and entrees (scallops, soft shell crab, lobster bisque, steak, black sea bass, chicken, red snapper) with the exception of the person who had the red snapper and thought it was bland. We would definitely go back. Our only complaint was we felt the server was insincere. He was attentive, but at the same time when asked questions he seemed to just validate what we wanted to hear. Also, when he heard it was one of the guests birthdays he said he would bring cheesecake to celebrate and then charged us for the dessert. It was a minor issue but seemed to fit the pattern.
This was our first visit to Sea Fire Grill and it most definitely will not be our last. The food was delicious and prepared with true professionalism and love of fine cuisine. We started with oysters ... a variety from the East and West coast. Well shucked and very fresh and tasty. Soft shell crabs were appetizer specials and perfectly hit the mark. Our main courses of Black Sea Bass and Halibut were beautifully prepared with delicious sides ... and s side order of broccoli rabe was “right on”.. with a nice bite, not too chewy yet not at all overcomes. The service was efficient, timely, and professional yet friendly and relaxing. We will definitely return soon.
Excellent foods and service, rather noisy
My husband and I were spending the weekend in the city and found this restaurant online. As NJ foodies (is there really such a thing?), we try to sample some restaurants that we have not tried when we visit NYC. The restaurant looks no different than many others - clean, deep and narrow, pretty tablecloths and flowers and we settled in for a relaxing meal. The surprise was how absolutely delicious everything was. We ordered some of our everyday usuals: salmon, tuna, salads etc and each dish had a unique and outstanding flavor. So much so, that we decided to try dessert, the course we generally pass on. Well, my passion fruit panna cotta was so indescribably good, that I could have passed out and fallen off my chair. Bravo to the chef! We have shared this recommendation with our friends....
We stumbled on this jewel and will be back! Delicious food and excellent service.
Outstanding dinner and service! This was our first time to eat at your restaurant ! I had the salmon and it was the most delicious one I ve ever had🤘🏽
We will definitely return on our next trip to NYC✈️🌻🌻
It was a perfect way to spend my birthday lunch! Most enjoyable and pleasant!
Food was terrific and the service was first rate. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. It was thoroughly enjoyable.
We were tucked in a corner table, with partial banquette seating. The hostess proceeded to seat me at the banquette where there was a large gap (think middle seat in the back of a car). This was quite uncomfortable, so I quietly moved to the chair. I got the feeling that the staff was not happy about my sliding from my "assigned seat" to the vacant chair at my table. Like who was I to decide where I would be more comfortable. The menu had many great food selections, and a decent wine list. The prices were typical ridiculously high NYC restaurant prices. We both ordered seafood, and agreed the fish was very fresh and well prepared. Here's my complaint... I have a strong onion sensitivity (not allergy). If you are using raw onions in your food, please LIST IT ON THE MENU. There were a few small onions in my salmon/tuna tartare... I knew I would suffer later, but said nothing. Then my main meal came out, and the black rice was full of raw onion and red bell pepper. I mentioned to the waiter that this wasn't noted on the menu, and I would not be able to eat it. He (Ari) simply said "yes, it comes with onions and peppers", and walked away. He never offered to switch my "side". When my plate was cleared, the side was untouched. I didn't complain further, but I did leave disappointed (and with gastric distress). For those prices I would expect better service, and more attention to ingredients.
My 3rd time there! I loved it the first two this time I was not happy with the special: grilled dover sole for $70 which was way too greasy my husband couldn't even enjoy it. I think it should have been grilled like it was supposed to and not served with the oily caper sauce. Other than that the noise volumn was terrible. I would suggest acoustic noise material to lessen the noise so that you can have a conversation while dining. Other than that the waiters are great and I like the décor.
Seafire has always been my go to place in NYC. Quality steaks along with fantastic seafood dishes to please the non-meat eaters in my group. Management treats me like family every time I venture in and they treat non-regulars the same way.
The food was very good. However, we didn’t get menus or water for 15 minutes, in a half-empty restaurant at that time. The waiter wore a very heavy cologne or fabric softener, difficult to tell.
Great food, smooth professional (but not stuffy) service, and an atmosphere where you can appreciate the entire experience. I highly recommend it.
Wait staff was excellent
The waiter recommended the scallop appetizer and I’m glad he did - it was amazing!
This was our first visit to this restaurant. I was looking for an upscale seafood restaurant and was not willing to pay the steep Le Bernadan prices. This place fit the bill. Nice selection of seafood with lovely specialty dishes. Well worth the visit. The bill for 2 was under $275. Not cheap but not
pushing $500. Put on your seafood restaurant list.
Amazing food and service as always!!!!
Had a wonderful dinner. Food was great.
Discovered this restaurant on Google maps while searching for a quality dinner option pre-theater. Decided to give it a try after the positive reviews and perusal of online menu although I was a little reluctant since they did not list prices unlike most restaurants. We were very happy with the choice, ambiance was very good with more space between tables than many NYC restaurants, service was excellent and food was wonderful. Although it was one of the pricier restaurants we have tried in the city, we came away feeling we had gotten our money's worth.
The service and the food were excellent.
Our dining party ordered both seafood and steaks and everyone enjoyed their choices.
I have eaten at this restaurant on several occasions and the food and service has been consistently excellent.
The service was excellent Milton our waiter was phenomenal. He remembered it was my sisters birthday celebration. The food was excellent especially the califlour soup.
I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Wait staff was excellent, hosts initially stand offish but improved through the night. The soup was superb, meals we very good, dessert was excellent
Ambience , room way to dark, need cell light app to see, room alternated to hot and then cold.
The evening was high end price as expected
It’s wonderful place to celebrate
