Our waiter was awesome. Dinner was great and atmosphere perfect.

Have been at Sea Catch many times and have always enjoyed it.
This time around though, it was a bit disappointing. It took the waitress fifteen good minutes to bring me the glass of wine I had ordered while waiting for the rest of the party to arrive.
For my dinner I ordered ceviche, which came in a nice martini glass but so overloaded with hot pepper that it totally killed my tastebuds, and I like and can usually take hot spicy food. I then had shrimp and grits, which is one of my favorite entrées and I religiously have it whenever I am in Georgia or Louisiana. This time, the shrimp were totally outnumbered by the huge quantity of both bacon and andouille to the point it was impossible to taste them.
Too bad, a disappointing evening at a place I usually really like.

Quiet in the big city is hard to come by. The Sea Catch though pricey is exactly the hidden gem that allows one to escape the crowds and have a quiet loving conversation. And there is much to discuss after 37 years of marriage.

The gazpacho was fresh and delicious; crab cake was good but not great. The shellfish trio was excellent. There was a large party in the other room and we felt a bit peripheral. All in all it was a nice lunch.

We had a lovely post-graduation meal at a table outside overlooking the canal. Exceptional service and delicious food. The seafood fettuccine was fantastic.

Great food, service and atmosphere. We had the misfortune to be seated next to a group of ten very loud diners, they got louder as the night went on. In the future we will make sure to avoid large groups.

Our waiter seemed new and was constantly giving the wrong information. He told some tables, not ours, about happy hour. And for the price the quality of the food was not up to it.

Food is always good. Our first server didn't want us and uttered an audible "seriously" with eye roll, circa 16year old. We were passed off to Michael, a brand new server, eager to sever us. He was AH-Mazing and we tipped him accordingly.

Have dined at Sea Catch a couple times. The food was great. Be careful when ordering an appetizer. Many of them are almost a meal on their own. The restaurant was a bit busy, so service suffered somewhat. Cozy atmosphere.

The service was a bit erratic, although the servers were very pleasant.
Everyone at the table was not served at the same time. One person was served the wrong oysters.
Pleasant view of canal. Large portions.

The service was kind of slow; it took almost an hour for our food to arrive. I've been frequenting Sea Catch for years so this time around it was a little disappointing. The food was delicious though.

They were completely overwhelmed and our initial server was on his first day. It was a disaster for us and all the parties around us. A manager tried to help but the lack of coordination between servers and other staff was a catastrophe. When we finally received our food most of it was good and they made a VERY FAIR adjustment to our bill. But either they were very short staffed or had no business trying to accommodate our reservation along with the private parties.

Went for an anniversary lunch. Added this information to the Notes Section when making our Open Table reservation and it was ignored. Service was especially slow even though there was only a handful of people in the restaurant. The server was aloof and also slow. Our food was noticeably sitting on the counter waiting to be served when he was nowhere to be found. However, based on food alone, the restaurant gets high remarks. The mussels were divine and the Seafood Salad was lump with crab meat and had the most delicious citrus dressing. I also loved the citrus fruits around the edge of the plate. Definitely not a normal lunch spot, the food is expensive and no deal can be had at lunch, however, for a treat worth splurging for some plentiful seafood, its worth a drop in, just be mindful how much time you have.

Absolutely fantastic. from the service to the dessert, Sea Catch made our anniversary dinner perfect. I had not been to the restaurant in 8 years or so and after this meal I am wondering why I have been away. we will return again soon.

Very slow and disorganized service. Ordered drinks before our dinner was served and after reminding the waiter a couple times, ended up cancelling the drinks because we were done eating. This was about 30 minutes after ordering wine. The table next to us had to get up and ask the hostess for their bill, since their waiter was not seen again after bring their meal. Another table did not have silverware until 10 minutes after their dinner was served. Food was good, but we wouldn't go back because of poor service.

This place is highly overrated. The food was just so-so. Nothing special, especially for the cost. 9pm on a Friday night and they have no mashed potatoes. How does a restaurant run out of potatoes on a weekend night. Noise level was high. Service was good but overall, we were disappointed.

We were visiting from out of town and looking for great seafood. For the most part the food was good . I was extremely disappointed in the Chilean Sea bass and not sure it was actually Sea bass. I would have sent it back but the waitress did not come around very often.

Service was pretty bad. There was one server for the area we sat in. He was in a rush, not very helpful and we had to pretty much beg to have some bread sent over.

The food was very rich. The salad was soaked in dressing. The protein (fish) was excellent but very rich with sauces.

I have to honestly say I was disappointed. I have generally dined at this restaurant on special occasions. Initially I was pleased to have read they were having an Easter Brunch on Sunday however it was not what was advertised. It was simply their usual menu with very slow service. We had a 12 noon reservation got seated after noon. Didn't get meal served till 1 pm and there was only one other family dining besides us. They weren't busy yet so not sure why the service was so slow and the food was just ok and certainly not a brunch that was advertised. Sorry to say not my favorite restaurant anymore. Won't be visiting there again anytime soon.

Loved the area w/the bar; fireplace/stone&brick walls..nice ambience; when seated for dinner reservation (a bit early I might add) were taken to a back room where there was NO ambiance..when asked to be reseated to bar area where we had enjoyed a drink and appetizer (we were the FIRST in the entire restaurant arriving at 5:09pm), were told all the tables were reserved. So we learned a lesson, however won't use what we learned by going back to this spot. Also disappointed that the server didn't ask if we liked chocolate. While the gift of a birthday dessert was much appreciated...I am allergic to chocolate (yes I know, not many are) and being too polite did not complain (don't look a gift horse in the mouth)...however very disappointing to be in a brightly lit, mirrored room w/no ambience - fireplace could not be enjoyed as blocked by a large table of 6-8 and not asked re food allergies/preferences. Lastly, we were seated between two parties of 4 when the rest of the room was empty. Not accommodating to say the least. We were gone before 8 (picked up by Uber at 8:05)... so restaurant was NOT full yet when there to dine certainly not a 5:15; not at 6 or 6:30.

I dine here quite often because my office is nearby. It is a perfect place for a quiet business lunch. The Seafood Medley Salad was outstanding and the service is always attentive an non-intrusive. Love sitting out on the deck, but alas, last week, the weather was too cool.

Other than getting oysters there is no reason to go to this place. The food is institutional bad. If they added some good beer to go with the oysters, the bar might be worthwhile. But this is a tired, tired place left over from 1967 and there is no reason for it to be.

Very attentive and knowledgeable servers. We ate on the canal deck. The ambiance was really enjoyable. All dishes were high quality, well prepared and flavorful. Chilean Sea Bass was delicate and delicious. Wine list is good although not extensive, but unfortunately wines are very overpriced.
