For over 20 years, Scusa has remained the perennial favorite of locals and tourists alike. Featuring traditional and creative pasta dishes, from simple Cappellini with fresh Basil and Tomato to Seafood Fettuccine Scusa in a light tomato-red wine sauce. Scusa is rumored to serve the best Linguine & Clams you'll ever have. Let's not forget the variety of Veal and Chicken dishes, and the Scusa Bread is a must! With appetizers from crispy Calamari to the House Specialty Lobster Raviolis in light Basil-Tomato Cream any choice is a good one. If you only have room to split a desert try the Amaretto Bread Pudding or the delicious Cannolis.
Scusa has one of the most romantic outdoor patios in Lake Tahoe, complete with fountain & garden. If you're looking for great food, with warm atmosphere and service, you are sure to enjoy!
The sole was out of this world, perfectly sautéed, grape and tomato sauce wow, chicken and cheese ravioli was also great😃🍷
Outstanding!
The atmosphere is the best thing here. They obviously go for a SPECIAL OCCASIONS vibe, but the food is nothing to write about and unfortunately overpriced. There are other choices.
best italian dinner we had in years. always a favorite, but this time the food was just amazing.. we will be back.
As usual, this place is amazing. Love, love, love the lobster raviolis. Three different dishes ordered: Petrole Fish, Clams & Linguine, Veal Saltimbocca, and all were wonderful. On our way to a concert and our waiter made sure to get our order in quickly so that we were on time for the concert. Highly recommend!!!!!
Great food highly recommend for family and special occasion.
This was our first visit to Scusa and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the service attentive. We’ll definitely go back.
This was our second visit in two weeks, just as delicious as the first time. The New York was a great cut and the Angel hair pasta was superb.
Saxophone was a little too noisy
The ambiance is nice, tables comfortably separated , dim lighting, nice service. The food was good and reasonably priced. If I'm south shore it,'s worth the drive.
The food was delicious and would highly recommend to anyone wanting some yummy Italian food in South Lake Tahoe!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE everything!!!! Our server Dale has always taken care of us!
Our favorite hidden gem in Tahoe that only me and my boyfriend go to! We Love the lobster ravioli and bread and the live music is always a nice feel for the restaurant. Overall, our favorite eating place
The clam fettuccine is the best I've ever experienced. Brownie sundae, exceptional.
Our dinner at Scusa was just okay. The lobster ravioli appetizer was good, however there was too much sauce covering them. My filet of sole was also fairly good, but had too many capers. All of our dinners were decent, but not exceptional. The waiter (Zack), was not friendly at all, and made us quite uncomfortable, particularly our teenaged children. We won't be returning.
Nice ambiance, and great Italian food. They had a live jazz band as well that day. I had the scallops which was tasty, and the creamy garlic soup which was delicious. They just forgot my appetizer on accident while my friends received theirs all together, and it was a bit difficult waving down a waiter. But it is worth a visit, and I would come here again.
Good! But expensive.
Family vacation.
Outstanding Italian cuisine,
Excellent service!
We make it a point to have dinner at Scusa’s every time we are in Southlake Tahoe.
Wonderful!
Best meal we've had there, service also improved.
This was our fourth visit to Scusa. It has been hit or miss but this evening it was hitting on all cylinders with very attentive service and all the selections (two different salads, mains, and dessert, as well as cappuccino) were really nicely prepared and generously portioned. We had a corner table on a night when they had a jazz musician and the whole ambiance was a real step up from our last visit about two years ago. We would definitely return for authentic Italian when in South Lake.
This is always Monday dinner for our ski week in Lake Tahoe. The lobster ravioli and Scusa bread are the perfect start to the meal. Salads are large, and so are entrees. Have never had room for desert so you are on your own there.
Fabulous! From the free Garlic Bread appetizer (Check-in on Yelp!) to the boxing up of the leftovers everything was superb! We were seated immediately in a cozy private booth - curtains blocked out he noise from the dining room. Zach our server was very attentive, refilling water and clearing bread plates. The garlic bread was toasted to perfection with a layer of parmesan. I had the Chicken and Eggplant - it was described as "Layered" I'd call it "Stacked" as layered implies more than one layer of each. Otherwise the eggplant was lightly breaded and fried. The breading maintained the crunchiness under the generous portion of sauce which was incredible. My husband had the Chicken and Ravioli. The stuffing in the ravioli was generous and delicious. The ragu on the plate was divine! We'll definitely return to this restaurant when visiting the area!
Great service - very attentive and friendly. Felt like family.. Loved the lobster ravioli, linguini with clams, lasagne. Many families as well as couples.
Delicious Italian restaurant. Great garlic bread. Mediterranean pasta was outstanding as was
The sausage and pasta dish. Great for families. We enjoyed our dinner very much.
Excellent ambiance with soft lighting and a real Italian feel. The meal was delicious, especially the lobster ravioli appetizer. Most notable was the quality service we received from Zack T, who was attentive without hovering, friendly without being too involved, and intuitively helpful with suggestions for wine and dessert. Understated and respectful, yet friendly and smiling enough to help us connect with him. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Lake Tahoe.
Very nice restaurant. Food was amazing.
A bit pricy - we ended up paying 340$ for 6 people
The appetizers we really good. The entrees were good also. We had coffee expresso it was terrible.
Amazing food. Live jazz music was a nice touch.
Loved This place ! The Salmon was Amazing. Highly recommended & will recommend to others. Can’t wait to return and try the lasagna .
As always ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS.......We have never had a bad meal here. We always take out of town guests here for a perfect Italian meal.
Excellent Italian fine-dining at a reasonable price. The wine list has very fine wines and Italian specialties like Amarone. Very knowledgeable waiters who are familiar with the different recipes and preparation as well as well versed on the wine list.
Our waiter was very animated, loud, and appeared to be reciting the menu to us. Nothing soft about him for a fine Italian restaurant.
This place is always amazing every time we go!
We held our small wedding reception here 6 years ago. I guess I was too excited at the time to relish the delicious food here. I surprised my husband this past weekend and took him to Sousa's to celebrate our anniversary. We couldn't have had a better dinner anywhere else in South Tahoe!!
Great dinner at Scusa, our first time, visiting from Illinois. Only negative thing was there was a huge draft coming through the window seal. Dale the waiter was fantastic!!!
We make it a point to eat here whenever we are in town. It is always a great meal here!
We had a lovely time dining here! Food was amazing, service impeccable, ambiance perfect!
The food appeared to be previously made and reheated. The presentation was pretty but the freshness wasn’t there.
Great dinner and experience
