Great service. Food was outstanding
I t was nice. Granted it was the first time we have eaten anything but my cooking since March it was lovely. Waitress was awesome. Food was great.
We had a lovely meal at Scratch with another couple. The lobster risotto was REALLY good. Attentive waiter, good drinks. Come downtown and support your local restaurants!
We had great food and service. The food was excellent. We were there on restaurant week and my husband had the special. I had scallops and the entire meal was really beautiful as well as tasty. Our server was timely and friendly getting us everything we needed.
Scratch never disappoints
Is this place good? Well, I ordered a dish with a side that had mushrooms risotto. I hate mushrooms, but everything else sounded good. I have been fantasizing about that mushroom risotto ever since then. SO GOOD. Of course so was the salad and the duck and poached pear, but I already know I would like those.
Wonderful food, love place and the people. Was a little noisy for us but we were between 2 large groups.
So sweet & romantic. Steak was a little tough but overall experience was great
My guest and I went to Scratch for dinner before the symphony. It’s restaurant week so did that menu. I got the salad and steak off special menu. Salad excellent but steak arrived medium rather than rare I ordered. Without missing a beat the server went to get me a box for the first one ( never seen that before) while new one prepared. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Outstanding service. This is second time at Scratch and more impressed than when we came last year. Will be back.
Excellent food. Spendt but ingredients are fresh and quality.
Thank you Damon for incredible attentiveness and recommendations. Food was as satisfying as the service. Other servers like Ryan stopped by randomly just to check on us. Prices have gone up but easily worth it, given the total experience. Duck and Hot Pot...highly recommend both.
Despite making a reservation for the dining room over a week in advance, we were sat in the bar to accommodate a family that had an under-21 member and therefore couldn’t be sat in the bar. Both the appetizer and my date’s entree were missing items that were described on the menu and we would have brought this to The attention of our servers’ (yes, multiple servers assigned to our table) but we would go 30+ minutes at a time between server visits to our table. Then, just to get the check, I had to go track down the restaurant’s supervisor and ask her for it. All in all, the food we was served was delicious, even if it was missing several components, and the musical act was very entertaining. I do not have any intentions of returning to Scratch, which is too bad because I’ve enjoyed dining there on several prior because the experience would have been disappointing on any occasion but was unacceptable on a special occasion like Valentines Day.
Quick reservation process. Higher end food and price but quality and uniqueness of each plate. Been here twice and both times, food has matched perfect expectations.
Great food cook perfectly.
We had four in our party. Good wine selection. Everyone enjoyed their food except for one who ordered gnocchi which was actually cavatelli. The cavatelli was chewy, not soft. It came with three prawns and cost $39. The osso bucco was much better and actually cheaper. Our server was really good and tried to serve a different entree to make up for it. Dessert was delicious - chocolate tart and house-made ice cream. The prices for entrees were expensive for Spokane. Not sure I'd go back.
The offerings were inventive buy seemed overly complicated, that is, one or two elements too many. Both of the dishes we had, clams and Hot Pot, were quite spicy.
a bit pricey, different prices than what was shown on One table. a bit cold. good portion. a very slow night for them
Food was great but server was not- she put the closed bottle of wine on the table & walked away! Luckily it was a screw top bottle & we were able to open it & serve ourselves!! We’ve always had very attentive servers but not this time....
Great food and service
Wonderful food and incredible service!!
We love the vibe in the Rain Lounge and always appreciate the effort the owners take in making their customers' experience memorable. It is a welcoming environment.
Very expensive for quality and quantity. Dishes uneven-?
Steak very mediocre, shrimp papardelle and cheesecake good. Wait staff bussing threw away our uneaten food and didn’t put in to go containers as was discussed with server. - poor communication between staff.
Consistently good food and service. Close to Fox and Knitting Factory. Menu is moderately imaginative. Service is always friendly and efficient.
Great place to eat. We went with my in-laws for our first visit. Great food, great service, our waitress was awesome, and great drinks. My only beef with the drinks is that they didn't have the Johnnie Walker Blue, and the spicy drinks weren't that spicy. We will be going back and I have already recommended it to 10-12 people.
Food & service were OUTSTANDING!! LOTS of delicious cocktails to choose from!! Ryan did an EXCEPTIONAL job!! Will DEFINITELY be back again!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The food was great, exceeded only by the service. The restaurant did not have the wine we first ordered, and our waitress went out of her way to help us choose another, offering tastes of three options. I will definitely return next time I'm in Spokane.
The price point for the restaurant was not reflected in the quality of food. Food was incredibly bland and took an hour and a half to receive hour entree. Our waitress was incredible and very apologetic, but was the only server in the entire restaurant. There were two “hosts” who helped when they were told to buy brought us a dessert menu before we even received our entree. We came here for our anniversary expecting a nice treat to celebrate but ended up ordering a pizza anyway. Will not be recommending to anyone.
Our previous experiences with Scratch have been excellent. This time it was so so. My son and I ordered Chicken Marsala. Both entrees were the same. Chicken was dried out and the pasta was mushy. My husband had the Ahi which was good but not excellent. Hummus platter was good but not outstanding. We didn’t have dessert.
Our party is from Los Angeles, and I can't say enough how delighted we were with the restaurant. The bruschetta and crab chowder were phenomenal, and the Osso Buco two of us ordered was the real deal. Owners Brad and Mari made us feel at home, and excellent cocktails to boot. As good as anything we have back home......
Great fresh made food. We were waited on by the owner who clearly enjoys his customers and work.
Nice waiter, middling food, long wait for appetizers and soup - that's it, weak drink. Best thing is it's across the street from the theater.
The food was outstanding, as it has been the other two times we've been at Scratch; however, we were celebrating our 24th anniversary and I requested an intimate table. Not only were we seated between two other couples, hardly intimate, there was no mention or congratulation on our anniversary at all. I was highly disappointed in this.
I've been here a couple times now and the food is absolutely excellent. Great flavors and nicely presented. Very good service, too. The location is small and this is not where you go for a view, but it is definitely where foodies should go for the food!
As always, perfect!
This place was EXCELLENT! I had the Hot Pot. It was fantastic. The price is a bit high but you definitely get what you pay for. Service was great. The atmosphere was nice but not 'stuffy'. Can't say enough about the food.
The food and staff are excellent. We've been at the Scratch multiple time and the service is always top notch
We had very nice service and overall the food was good. (However, we were expecting a bit more based on reviews and price) It was a very quiet evening (Wednesday). The experience should have been closer to perfect.
Started with some puff pastry bread sticks - served with an aged balsamic. They were just ok - a little oily/ balsamic was too thick for dipping.
My husband ordered the duck . Medium. Plate arrived a bit messy and duck was medium Rare to rare. Server did offer to return it to kitchen, but my husband chose to keep it. ( I definitely would have sent it back!) He said while more rare than he preferred- duck and jus was delicious. My seared ahi was very tasty- generous portion of ahi. Ahi Served a little chunky ( would have been prettier sliced and presented IMO) but tasted good. (Green) Rice was rather bland...but good with ahi and condiments. My sparkling wine was served from a can, it was ok, but just seemed odd in a nice restaurant.
We felt food and service was good, but average. And pricey for average.
Incredibly fast service and Great food! Definitely will go here again!
It was a quiet Monday night and our server was very attentive. He did not appear bored with older guests and had articulate responses to our "gourmand" questions. The spicy halibut bisque and calamari were both very good.
The waitress was hospitable. The food was delicious and their happy hour prices are excellent. Dinner menu looks amazing but a bit overpriced . Might be worth it. However, I was only there during happy hour .
