When my Mom and I have a theater date Scott's is always our go to spot. The food is always delicious and the service is very good. They have the best bread! It's a great place for date night or Sunday Brunch with the girls!
Food was mediocre and overall quite expensive for the quality.
Food was great, service was ok. You would expect better service for the place.
With tip $190 for three people. Waitress was good. 2 Cocktails were $13 each and they were good BUT as typical at these rip off restaurants it was maybe a 4 ounce drink which is a joke. Two gulps 13 bucks. The tip suggestion started at 19% BUT they also include an additional 3% charge because minimum wage has gone up so they have to recoup some expense? LMAO Disgusting in my opinion and in poor taste. Calamari was meh at best. Three entrees, I didn't love mine but my wife was very happy with hers and my son said his was okay. We had 3 small scoops of sorbet for dessert that was also fairly good. There is an okay view from this restaurant but the windows on the outside were FILTHY. At this price point and the additional 3% markup, the highway robbery on the cocktails you would think they could afford to at least clean the windows. Do it your damn self if you must. Overall I was disappointed and would not go back nor would I even suggest trying because the price point is higher then this restaurant is worth. If the total bill were $100 I would recommend giving it a shot but again overpriced for what you get.
It was a very good restaurant ti give back to family members for all they do throughout the year! Great Views, awesome appetizers, i would suggest the large plater, it was perfect for 8 people! SrFood is always excellent and you get whaT you pay for!!!
Loved the Cold Sampler!
Enjoyed dinner, we were able to sit outside, the temperature was great, but they brought us a heat lamp anyway. Dinner was very good, mix of appetizers, dinner and dessert. Brought our own wine. All in all it was a very good evening.
Given our need to be in and out to attend the ballet, sitting at the bar appeared to be the correct choice.
The Happy Hour menu + regular menus were great. The lamb chops were tasty as well as the salads. And who would have thought roasted brussel sprouts could taste good? They were great!
A plus was the validated parking!
Bland sterile interior, uninspired menu very overpriced. Got a seared ahi appetizer $19 got four small pieces . Entree was bland would not return .
A great overall experience for the 6 of us. Attentive service from beginning to end. Small things too like having multiple people help bring out the food so we all got dinners at the same time. Always looking to see if we needed something, without interrupting. The food was excellent. Halibut, salmon. Various seafood. Special requests were happily accommodated.
We really like the service (if you give them enough notice in advance) of printing up a special custom menu for the guest of honor. In this case, a birthday. So his menu had his name and happy birthday printed on it (great as a keepsake too).
We went there for our anniversary, the food was delicious and the staff was attentive. I included in the reservation that it was our anniversary and the menu said happy anniversary. She absolutely loved the detail, it’s truly the little things that went right that made our first anniversary one to remember.
The live music was so wonderful on the rooftop! Service was very slow though, the food was great as well. Will be going back!
We had a fabulous dinner. We have been dining at Scott's for perhaps 20 years, and every time we go, it's absolutely delicious. Our server, Scotty, could not have been more helpful and friendly. He is a real pro. We'll be going back soon.
Actually not sure. The good was really not that good so I am a bit disappointed compare to previous visit which I really enjoyed.
Great birthday dinner for my mom tonight! Thank you for making it special!
Love the special touch with printed menus for our anniversary
Everyone loved everything
Went to see Wicked. We love Scott’s
Went to see Wicked on Sunday and haven’t been to San Jose in years. Reviewed the brunch menu online and liked the options. Was VERY disappointed when we arrived to be told they only had the buffet for $56/person. Their main response was that this is stated on the website. I told them I booked on OpenTable and this was not listed there. Since I just wanted to relax and not scramble for another choice we ate there. I went and told the hostess that it was very shocking to be told this and her response was she’d tell the manager. No one came to our table to apologize for it not being listed on OT. This is a mistake that benefits them in the short run...but fool me once... Sorry, but very unethical not to try to make amends...doesn’t leave me wanting to try Scott’s again and also makes me question the accuracy of info on OT.
I choose this restaurant for my brother’s 30th bday. Our party size was only 9 people. We sat outside and it was so beautiful and they had live music. But........ our waiter was the worst and the food was not impressive. We waited so long for our food and once we got it, it was definitely a let down. Then we noticed that all the other tables surrounding us were brought bread while they waited for their food. Our waiter didn’t off us knowing how long we were waiting(even though we did order appetizers). The drinks we ordered were good and so were the appetizers. I think this will be the first and last time trying this place.
Met for dinner before a play at SJCC. Location was the key, however the food was very good BUT the service was outstanding! I wish that I had asked our server for her name before we left as I’d like to give the highest compliment to her & the restaurant manager. She couldn’t have done more for us. Very impressed.
I am not planning on returning. After being disappointed last year, I decided to give it another try and gave SJ Scott's another chance. We have alway enjoyed the Scott's in Walnut Creek so I am not sure what the problem is. We found the food presented very nicely but there seems to be no wonderful taste. We send one salad back and would have sent our meal back but decided to just eat and leave.
We did have a wonderful cocktail, a little pricey, but we did enjoy that. And of course, we loved the Rasberry Jack dessert.
I will miss enjoying the pre dinner drink and the dessert but allow my pocket book the job of paying for the food in the future. I am saddened by this as we often see shows in the area.
Excellent food, especially the salmon and crab. I enjoyed the food, the excellent service and company.
Totally enjoyed brunch. Food selection and quality was excellent as was the service.
Anniversary. Great experience.
Food was great
Just took like 20min to order drinks or apps and the restaurant wasn’t even busy.also, the waitress ordered one of the appetizers wrong. But other then that the food was good. And the venue was really nice.
the prawn cocktail had 4 shrimp for $20 which tasted old and tough.
the lobster pasta I wouldn't try again.
Service was good.
They only had one waitress on staff taking orders and serving. No her fault but poor planning. Took forever to get our order in, clam chowder was not even mediocre
Food was great!
We sat outside on the patio which was very nice
Had dinner in bar area before Wicked. Service was very slow but friendly. Food was very good. Had to track down waiter for drinks, bread, to order so a little frustrating but the restaurant was very busy at 6pm. I'd return for the food but would expect better and more timely service or leave next time.
Great lunch out on the patio - with plenty of umbrellas. Fantastic service. Batter on fish (fish and chips entrée) could have been lighter - less batter. The red snapper was really good! The lobster bisque was wonderful. Good cocktails. We will be back, again and again.
I took a friend to celebrate starting her own business. Food, service and ambiance was excellent. She is from Portland and said this will be our go to restaurant when she visits. Order the seafood sauté or Filet. Both were excellent
It will be closing soon so go and enjoy the spectacular view watching the planes landing at SJC.
A bit pricey but makes for a lovely evening
Food was amazing! I had the lobster, yum! The service was fantastic and the view was so pretty!
As always, Scott’s was wonderful and treated us so well. We came as a big party to celebrate the birth of my son, and they were very attentive and sat us ‘out of the way’ so we could have the stroller at the table, and I could feed if I needed to.
The waiter was on hand topping up everyone’s drinks regularly, and the food was the usual delicious array of breakfast, lunch and seafood. I like that they have moved the jazz band to the bar area so that it’s a little quieter for diners.
Always fabulous but I do wish they would bring the fried calamari and chicken à la Bella back those are my favorite brunch items on Sunday.
Service is always fantastic.
The jazz trio on Sunday is superb
Scott’s is one of our favorite restaurants. We always go there before or after performances at the CPA. The food and service is excellent// nothing to complain about.
Food was mediocre we had the risotto and it look like it was sitting for a while, they don’t make to the order making it mushy and lacked flavor.
Great food. Service wasn’t perfect, but it’s not a small place... so it is the best you can hope for within the size of the restaurant.
Good atmosphere, outdoor patio drinks with nice view of whatever you consider San Jose (I think of it as the not so hip, not so dirty San Fran)... it’s more my pace.
