Food was good but service was poor orders were messed up more than once
We enjoyed Scott's Seafood good time as always- food, ambiance, service, and of course we were with great company.
Excellent food, great atmosphere, good service, tables spaced apart enough to be able to speak with out anyone hearing you. Underground parking is free with validation (3 hours), consistently great.
Great location for dinner before the theater. Validated parking in the same building. The seafood is excellent.
Our go to spot before the show. The entire staff took great care of us, great food, and on time to our showing. Thanks!
I visited Scott’s a few hours before seeing a musical at the Center for Performing Arts down the street. The location view was decent, the ambiance peaceful. I found Scott’s to be a little loud for dinner but the food was delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and very tender without being rubbery.
The Rockefeller oysters leave a lot to be desired so I wouldn’t recommend them but the seafood angel hair pasta and scallops, crab and shrimp were all very well done. The mixed drinks on the menus are good.
Very happy with Scott's Seafood. Service was excellent, food was great.... all in all another fantastic experience at Scott's.
The food, service and ambiance was good, but I could not recommend this restaurant. When we received our bill there was a 3% Surcharge. When I asked what is was for, the waiter said that he would take it off. I insisted to know what it was for, and he said "because San Francisco raised their minimum wage to $15.00 per hour this restaurant did not want to raise their prices, and the money was to go for tips to the kitchen help" This explanation was not clear, and I do not agree with any part of it. In the future, I will dine elsewhere.
Scott's has always had the great view and my last two visits have been excellent. A much more modern take on excellent seafood with MUCH better sides offered. Very good overall experience.
Excellent service and food!!
Great ambiance, attentive service, delicious food selection and wide wine selection. When we arrived, the staff were aware of our reservation and had our table ready at the exact time the reservation was made. We were presented with outdoor seating or indoor. Waiter informative of menu selection, though we were unanimously unable to determine what 'AQ' literally translated to (we all understood it pertained to 'Market Price'). I can't say my $57 surf and turf plate was good for my wallet, but I can guarantee any curious person that the food is certainly good for the tummy. My date's crab stuffed salmon was delicious too. We were wondering the origins of the King Crab legs, if these little critters were ever featured on Discovery Channel's "The Deadliest Catch", or if it would even be worth mentioning to prospect customers. I would love to sink my teeth into crab that made an appearance on the show. "Star" crabs. Mmm... I'm ready for round 2 already.
Friends bday brunch! Awesome food and options for the buffet
We've been here several times, and it's always terrific, though expensive. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked, my wife had the ($76) lobster tail, which looked to be about 12 oz. She said the asparagus served with her meal was also well cooked which I'm noting here because it's a vegetable that's easy to overcook. Drinks are bit expensive but this restaurant charges a premium on everything it serves.
Note that due to the increase in minimum wage in California to $15 the management is charging a 3% surcharge on the total of your bill, before tip. For our $222 bill it worked out to a little less than $6.
I loved it such great service amazing food and drinks and beautiful view of downtown San Jose
Perfect setting to discuss business in the city
Service was quite slow.
I had been wanting to try Scott's for a while now and finally had a chance on my last trip to San Jose. The atmosphere was great and we had a good server but the food fell flat. No very flavorful and just didn't seem to have the quality that I expected for such a highly rated restaurant in the San Jose area..
Came here for my mother’s birthday. Had a great time, food was wonderful
Excellent as usual
There was 6 of us after the Theater. Enjoyed ourself , meal was great.
I never got my points thru open table. We waited 10-15 mins for a table when we made reservations and it was not full at all. Food quality was not the best - half cold. They waitress was super nice took my left overs into the fridge while we ordered desserts but never brought it back for us to take home :)
It wasnt that good anyways so we barely touched our food. Was planning to take it home and add stuff to it.
Great place, service and food and cocktails. The outdoor patio is great for dining as well.
All good. Nothing out of the ordinary in terms of the dining experience.
We were a party of 5 but 3 of the 5 were late for various reasons and the wait staff were excellent in negotiating the varied arrivals. We were going to the theater afterwards and they were also very good about getting us out on time.
We were a party of 3 dining before we saw Rent across the street at CPA. Many other diners in the restaurant were also seeing the show. Our food was brought quickly, but we never felt rushed. We all had the nut crusted SeaBass. Very good and a healthy-sized portion. I had the tiramisu for dessert and it was creamy and delicious; also a good sized portion. Probably a good size to split, but I ate the entire piece and loved every bite!
Had drinks an appetizers at the bar. Excellent selection and quality was outstanding. A great value - and good service!
Great place for my mother's 94th birthday. She loved her food and was given a complimentary dessert. We were able to carry on conversation without having to shout, a rare occasion these days.
Horrible experience, avoid at all cost being served by Mitch. He is arrogant, no sense of urgency, no customer service. Not worth the $53 per person for that kind of crap service.
We have dined at Scott's for years and enjoy it very much. But on this visit we had a few problems. First the service was slow and the waiter seemed to disappear for long periods of time. We finally received our dinners but one of them was "stone cold" ! It too more that 10 minutes for our waiter to show so we could report the problem. Then they made a special repeat for the cold dinner and it was good by then the rest of us had finished eating. Then again, our waiter was AWOL and now we were running late to get to our theater in time.
We will try them again and hope the service is back to the former level.
Had our 15th anniversary here. First time diners. Great service, great ambiance, and great food. Thank you.
