The Scott’s story began in 1976, with the opening of a simple gracious seafood dinner house in the Marina District of San Francisco. Its phenomenal success led to the opening of a new establishment in the heart of down town San Jose. From the moment it opened, Scott’s captured the best of a growing tradition presenting the finest seafood classically prepared in light, crisp, friendly surroundings.

Scott’s Seafood has been a San Jose tradition for over 40 years, with an emphasis on sustainable, healthy food options. Scott’s Seafood has won the People’s Choice Award for its Boston Style Clam Chowder several years running, reaffirming the consideration that goes in to crafting each meal.

Many of our staff members have been with the company for decades, and even have roots to the original Scott’s in San Francisco. Our culinary crew led by Executive Chef Alfonso Tamayo follows the same traditions & qualities established by the Original Scott’s.

I thought Scotts was overrated. The seafood was fishy, the service was lacking because they were understaffed. The crab cakes were good so there’s that.

For a business lunch, this is the best place. The service is excellent, the menu includes a great selection of items that are perfect for a business lunch, and the wine list (while not extensive) has some great options depending on the occasion. Of course the cocktails include some great original takes on things -- including a tiramisu martini that is very chocolaty without being too sweet.

I made a reservation for in the evening and when we arrived we were seated right away. We were given our drinks first. The waiter was very nice and next took our order. I had the Crab Louie salad and the waiter made sure everything was gluten free for me and my partner had the sea bass . We both enjoyed our meals. No room for dessert. The waiter brought us our check and we paid the check and returned home. It was a nice time but a bit pricey but overall it was nice. I would be willing to go back sometime when time and finances permit.

The Surf n Turf was very delicious. We went there to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, and they brought out a very good birthday dessert called Raspberry Jack. It was a nice ending to our meal. Would definitely go back.
