Scott's Seafood on the River Ratings and Reviews
I loved Scott’s. The food was great . The service was great also. If I was to complain or have a problem with anything it would be the noise
level of the Restaruant . It was extremely loud. It was a Saturday so I’m sure that’s probably the loudest nite to go to Scott’s. The food and service was still great .
We have been twice now and it has not disappointed yet. We love the menu, atmosphere and service ice. Our last visit, on 2/16, we enjoyed a wonderful waitress who had the perfect balance of checking on on us and allowing us to enjoy our conversation with each other. she was also very knowledgeable of the menu and helped make the best selections.
We look forward to our next, meal at Scotts on the River.
It was Valentines Day. I had us set up for an early dinner @5:30pm. We’ve been dining at Scott’s both in the Arden Area and on the River. Quite frankly we’d never had a bad experience there until...this one.
I should have known not to go out for dinner on Valentine’s. My filet was extra petite and no I didn’t ask fo it that way and more to the point it was just a bad cut of meat. It had a gamey liver-type of taste. My green beans were nasty and so was the rice pilaf.
After My wife tasted my fillet we called our server over and had it removed off of our tab the two lobster tails were the highlight of my meal along with the bread
It was a great first time experience with my fiance. Her and I loved the waitress named Cynthia she was so Awesome and loved her energy. She made sure we was a ok! The food was great and very lovely to look at.we had a great time there and will be back again and again,!
This is the third time I've gone to this place for a special occasion, and the third time my special requests were not only not fulfilled but not even acknowledged. Upon my arrival, no acknowledgment of the special occasion, reminding hostess and wait staff, no acknowledgment.
The food is good and wait staff are prompt, but the place is filled with LOUD drinkers and the ambiance is more like a bar than an quality restaurant.
Too bad, really, because I was hoping something had changed. When I spend 200 dollars on a meal for a special occasion, I expect to feel like I'm in a place that actually represents the cost. This place does not, in my opinion, it's just trendy.
I love this Riverfront location! The Restaurant and Bar have a great look and feel! But, the food is mediocre and the servers, while pleasant are poorly trained.
We ordered the Filet and Shrimp, Fettuccine and the Skirt Steak with Bleu Cheese Potatoes. When the plates arrived they appeared to be under a heat lamp because all around the rim the slosh from the sauce was caked onto the rim of the plate. The pasta tasted microwaved and the potatoes were just overwhelming with the Bleu.
The location is perfect for special occasions, but after several attempts I just don't think we will go back.
server Miguel was great; friendly, knowledgeable, attentive
food; crab cake appetizer was disappointing, overpowered by spicy sauce on top, maybe because the flavors of the cake weren't that good
ahi 2 ways was pretty good, seared ahi & dressing/sauce were excellent, "soy marinated" ahi was pretty plain. A little more crunch on the plate would've been nice.
after dinner coffee - the regular coffee was pretty weak. The capuccino was pretty good, but there was probably 3 oz of coffee in the cup
Food was delicious. I only went because I had a gift card. I wouldn't normally pay $80 for a dinner for 2, but the food was very delicious. I would recommend. I don't like seafood so we had the chicken. Salad was amazing as well.
Exellent location, drinks, and decent food! It was easy to get a reservation for 6 on a Friday night. Great service; the staff made our birthday celebration truly special. The quality of the food was good, but the taste/presentation has gone down from previous years.
I have dined in Scott’s Seafood in San Francisco’s and this madam is NOT San Francisco. The restaurant is located inside the Westin hotel in Sacramento. I was on my way to SMF and wanted to treat my brother and mom to a nice lunch. The restaurant is a confusing hike from the parking lot and once inside, I could not locate the hostess station as the bar was packed and people were blocking any walk way there could be. In addition, there was construction going on at the hostess station so with no one manning it, it appeared to be out of order. Once we were seated a delightful women waited on us but I suspect it was due to my brother and her finding him attractive as she never made eye contact with either female at the table. It was so obvious my brother was embarrassed and it became the conversation at the table. My fear was she assumed he was paying the bill. We ordered two of the daily specials of fish and chips and one crab Louie salad. They brought bread promptly and refreshed the bread on cue. When the entrees arrived, the fish and chips were a sizable portion but soggy and flavorless for $22.00 each. The crab salad was light but the crab was real. It was described to have a “cage free egg” when in fact it was half of the described egg, this offering was $23.00. Other than the half egg, nothing more than a variety of pickled vegetables accompanied the cup of shredded lettuce and crab in the center. The noise level was the worst I have experienced. It felt more like a cafeteria than an elegant lunch spot it was anticipated as being. Needless to say for $90. Including tip for lunch of three, I will never return in the end the server indeed brought the bill to my brother to sign, when clearly she picked it up from my side of the table and my name is on the card. Unbelievable.
I recommend the Valet Parking, because why not?
Order off the Daily Special Menu because if you don't you're cheating yourself, shellfish has a short shelf life.
Enjoy an Amber-Dark lamp on your table whilst the choices of wine, spirits and river amenities are showered over your table.
Splurge. Because Splash is so harsh.
$160 with tip for table and car service for two who care for each other and want to have that special yet regular moment that counts.
