The place is beautiful and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this to friends.
We had a wonderful time it was my two boys Birthday. The food was very good, and we will be back soon
I asked for French fries , don't get it. They try to make me hard time ? , asking for reservation. Not sure if they are full to what i saw . the waitress advised to change margarita mango instead of original for sweetness, isaid ok but still get the lemon
The food was delicious and the service outstanding. We will definitely go back.
We went for an early dinner so no crowds or noise. The waitress was a gem and we enjoyed the experience. The food was amazing. The decor needs some updating but overall a hearty meal at a great price.
We took my husband's mother to Scott's for her 90th birthday, some years ago. This year we took MY mother for HER 90th birthday. She raved about the food, and we all love the elegant but relaxed ambiance. The wait wasn't long, but I almost wish it were a little longer, because we were enjoying a drink while watching the river float by. It's a beautiful restaurant with superb food.
My wife and I celebrated our Birthdays here. Everything was great. Our server(Ben) was awesome and helped make it a special night. I got the filet and prawns and my wife got the lobster tails. Both plates were cooked to perfection. We couldn't have been happier with the meal or the atmosphere and the service was excellent.
Our server was great! We were not impressed with the food. It seems that by the time we arrived the kitchen staff was too tired. No special effort was made to even garnish the food. The food was passable, but monochromatic!
My husband had the eggs benedict which came totally flat and one dimensional.
Although the sauce was good and the eggs nicely runny, only one small piece of bacon was presented on each toast. Perhaps a splash of diced tomatoes, or pepper or a plumper fresher poached egg would've improved the plate.
Mine was the deep fried Prawns with rice. Not one bit of dreaded Parsley was wasted on this most bland presentation.
The taste was heavy and Shrimps fishy!
We would give this location another try, however, reservedly!
Always great seafood-never been disappointed. Parking is an issue-valet is $10-so not terrible. It can get a bit noisy inside as acoustics are not great. Service and food are always excellent here-interesting specials available on the Friday night we went.
Environment and the food was excellent! I would say our server was a bit busy with other customers so some of our requests took a while. But overall, we had a great time... great food, environment and great staff! We love Scott's on the River!!! :)
I have been eating at Scott's for years, usually at the Scott's in Folsom. Met a friend for lunch at Scott's on the River. Service was good, atmosphere excellent, noise level okay, even though the restaurant was crowded with conference attendees. My friend had the Macadamia Nut Crusted Sea Bass and found it very good. I chose one of the luncheon specials--fish (rockfish) and chips . I was disappointed with the fish. The fish was thin and the batter thick and doughy and tasteless. First time in 25+ years I have been disappointed in a Scott's special. I usually don't bother with reviews; if I don't like a place, I don't return. In this case, I want to give constructive feedback to one of my favorite restaurants.
Lovely table and view. Great service, good food.
My second trip to Scott's and again I was not disappointed. Four of us this time on a Friday night. Got window seating as requested. The first time we came during the week, for a romantic dinner and it was quiet and romantic. Not so this time, more customers and it was pretty loud. Not so bad that we had to yell, but close to it. Food was good as expected, and service was great.
Birthday dinner it was great. Food was fabulous!
This was the best Birthday dinner I've had in years!! Service was spectacular, food was delicious, and our waitress was phenomenal! I will be frequenting this restaurant for all special occasions! Thank you so much for such a great experience!!
The bad part of dining at Scott’s Seafood on the River was finding parking. Scott’s is in the Westin Hotel and there was no Valet available, so we had to self park about 3/4 of a mile away. Although we had a 5:00 reservation we had to wait 10 minutes while they seated two sets of walk-ins in front of us.
Our waitress greeted us promptly, but rushed through the specials because she had a table of 8, three tables of 4 and our table of two.
When she could break away from her other tables, our waitress provided great service. Our Grey Goose Martinis on the rocks with three olives and our Caesar Salads were wonderful. My Wife’s Ahi Two Ways was creative and met her every expectations. My Petrolie Sole was one of the best I have have since leaving England or Ireland. The Bernaise has a lovely touch of lemon which complimented the sole. The vegetables were excellent.
The Creme Brûlée was good but cold.
If you self park it’s a long walk to the restaurant. Food is decent. Service very good. It’s a nice place but mostly booth seating. My eggs Benedict was decent if uninspired. The friend’s salmon was very good. The bar area is nice.
I enjoyed my time there because the waiter did not interrupt our conversation like in other restaurants where the waiters ask "if the food is good" too many times. Everything is good at this place, thank you very much!
Scott's Seafood a great restaurant. We were on date night and has a great experience all around. The drinks were made well, the service was great, the waiter was friendly and the ambiance was great. Highly suggest this place.
The 5 of us all ordered seafood, ranging from the filet and lobster tails to the seafood fettuccine, and it was all amazing. You can simply taste the quality of the food and it is also cooked to perfection. Our waiter was attentative, but not hovering which was very nice.
I went here for a birthday lunch and the restaurant was made aware of that when the reservation was made. No mention of the special occasion was made by the staff. It was cold in the restaurant and the reply by staff was that we were too close to the windows and we were welcome to move. Not a welcoming location. The ambience does not match the price of the food. I will avoid this location in the future
Service was just terrible --- see my comments to the restaurant. Unfortunately, this has been the same mediocre experience three times in the six months --- I need to learn its not going to get better ... take my money elsewhere .
Service was horribe felt like we sat fkrever before being waited on. Food was ok nothing worth the amount. After eating a spider came down onto out table juat gross all around
The views at Scott's are good, and so is the interior of the restaurant. When we have come in the past, the food has been pretty good. This time it was not. My sea bass was mushy. The green beans were nearly raw, and the rice was also undercooked. It was disappointing to pay so much for a meal that was not good.
I loved Scott’s. The food was great . The service was great also. If I was to complain or have a problem with anything it would be the noise
level of the Restaruant . It was extremely loud. It was a Saturday so I’m sure that’s probably the loudest nite to go to Scott’s. The food and service was still great .
Great food, great service!
We have been twice now and it has not disappointed yet. We love the menu, atmosphere and service ice. Our last visit, on 2/16, we enjoyed a wonderful waitress who had the perfect balance of checking on on us and allowing us to enjoy our conversation with each other. she was also very knowledgeable of the menu and helped make the best selections.
We look forward to our next, meal at Scotts on the River.
Nice experience for a busy Valentine's Day. Very accomodating...we were seated early ahead of our reservation. Smiles on every face...so nice👍🏾
Spent Valentines Day here with my boyfriend and the best time. The food was amazing. The only thing I will complain about is the parking. Need s better system
It was Valentines Day. I had us set up for an early dinner @5:30pm. We’ve been dining at Scott’s both in the Arden Area and on the River. Quite frankly we’d never had a bad experience there until...this one.
I should have known not to go out for dinner on Valentine’s. My filet was extra petite and no I didn’t ask fo it that way and more to the point it was just a bad cut of meat. It had a gamey liver-type of taste. My green beans were nasty and so was the rice pilaf.
After My wife tasted my fillet we called our server over and had it removed off of our tab the two lobster tails were the highlight of my meal along with the bread
We had a wonderful meal at Scott's. Everything was just perfect. Service was great, our server was very attentive. My daughter got a free dessert as we were there to celebrate her birthday plus it's Valentine's day.
Was seated immediately. View of marina was very nice. Seafood was excellent. Wine and desert was good and reasonable priced,
Service was attentive and outstanding. The 3 entees and appetizer were excellent.
We sat by the window and shared the seafood tower, it was absolutely delicious, especially the sauces!
Service was excellent, as was the value. We will return!
It was a great first time experience with my fiance. Her and I loved the waitress named Cynthia she was so Awesome and loved her energy. She made sure we was a ok! The food was great and very lovely to look at.we had a great time there and will be back again and again,!
The food was great, however it would have been nice not to have the men rolling tables through the restaurant (4 times) during dinner, and know about the remodeling before hand!
This is the third time I've gone to this place for a special occasion, and the third time my special requests were not only not fulfilled but not even acknowledged. Upon my arrival, no acknowledgment of the special occasion, reminding hostess and wait staff, no acknowledgment.
The food is good and wait staff are prompt, but the place is filled with LOUD drinkers and the ambiance is more like a bar than an quality restaurant.
Too bad, really, because I was hoping something had changed. When I spend 200 dollars on a meal for a special occasion, I expect to feel like I'm in a place that actually represents the cost. This place does not, in my opinion, it's just trendy.
We always enjoy Scott's Seafood. Excellent food and great wait staff
I love the location on the river. Parking could be better, be prepared to walk quite a distance or wait for the shuttle. A little pricey so special occasions for dinner only. But breakfast is fairly reasonable and they have the best bacon!
