   Not good this time. It took over 35-40 to get our food and when it arrived it was cold. Also, I know food prices have gone up everywhere but menu prices were just ridiculous. It food arrived sooner and was hot, it wouldn't sting so much. Our waiter was a bright spot though.

   I ordered the filet with prawns, my wife the scallops and risotto. The filet was ok , not the best I’d ever had but I didn’t expect that however the prawns were rubber. I could barely separate the tail from the body without serious effort. My wife’s scallops were a little rubbery with a slimy after effect. Not good. Her risotto was a little undercooked and barely edible. We ordered the lemon ricotta cheesecake that was outstanding.

   I had made a reservation since the restaurant was busy, and when I arrived, I tried to check in with the hostess. The first hostess completely ignored me and helped customers behind me instead. I think she could have told me that she would be with me shortly and needed to assist the customer behind me, but didn't. The second hostess trailed a few moments after and asked for my name and then told me that I would be called closer to my reservation time since I was 10 minutes early. The lobby of the restaurant cleared out and my friend and I were the only party waiting to be seated. One of the hostesses kept calling the wrong name and then finally looked at the other hostess, laughed and called the correct name to seat us. I think a little more professionalism should be exercised in the workplace. The service was great. The waitress was friendly and took our drink and dinner order quickly, as well as checked in on us while we dined. I had ordered the burger which was extremely bland and unevenly cooked. I had requested a medium cooked burger, but parts of it were extremely rare. My friend had ordered the gnocchi and Caesar salad, which she was satisfied with. The ambiance is really nice in that Scott's feels more upscale for a neighborhood restaurant. I'm not sure if I would return any time soon.

   Please Please Please put the crab melt on the bar or dinner menu. Oh and the room temperature was perfect. We wanted to sit by the window, but the air conditioning was much to cold. The booth worked. Too much cold air coming out of the air vents. Please Please get live music!!!!!!!! I had a great time.

   The menu has changed quite a bit in the last few years for the negative. Our shrimp was undercooked this time and had to be sent back. The chicken was a little dry. The gnocchi was the best part. It was very good.

    I love Scott's. Went on Mother's Day to honor my late wife of 33 years who passed away in 2021. She and I always celebrated our wedding anniversary at Scott's. Thank you for a great Mother's Day brunch.

    We were seated right on time but our 4 top was flaned on the left by the wait stand and across from the door leading to outside. As the servers were over my left shoulder at the computer literally not even a foot away! I heard all about their tables, tips and personal life. At one time there were 3 of them huddled up. The door was another distraction! My first trip there and my last.

    We had hoped the Mother's Day buffet would be back, but not yet. We were seated quickly and had a comfortable booth for our family of 3. It took quite a while for a server to approach - we in fact had to flag someone down after about 15 minutes. The server we waved down was very friendly and took our table (whether he was supposed to have done so was not clear). The soup and dessert courses were the standouts. My husband had the clam chowder and I tried the crab bisque. Both were excellent. For entrees, his smoked salmon benedict was underwhelming and my chicken Caesar was fine, though a bit underseasoned. The benedict was underseasoned and difficult to cut. The chicken on my salad was a good portion and freshly grilled. Our son had the kids' mini cheeseburgers and fries, which he liked. The entrees were relatively slow coming out of the kitchen. About halfway through our entrees, we noticed that all the tables around us were receiving bread and butter with their waters when they were seated. We had been given water, but not offered bread, so we were sad. For dessert, my husband had the raspberry jack and Inhad lemon ricotta cheesecake. Both were very tasty. The raspberry jack was a highlight, very refreshing. Our son had ice cream. I decided not to raise it as an issue, but my son's lemonade and ice cream should have been included with the kids meal and we were charged for both. That was irritating. We'll go back, as we have been going to Scott's a few times a year to celebrate occasions for the past 8+ years now, but as my husband put it, the whole experience yesterday rated for us somewhere between 'a New York or San Francisco fine dining establishment ... and Denny's.'

    We are regulars at Scott's Seafood on the River. Our experience is usually fairly good both for the food and the service. Last night our waiter was plain and simply over worked. He did not get to our table often enough. The food did not come out timely. I could tell from the wilted garnish that it had been sitting under the salamander for too long. He was not standing around. He had too many tables. Other people noticed it too as we could hear their comments. He was personable and got the order correct but overall this was not a stellar experience. I know it is hard to get employees right now, and it shows.

    The Brunch Menu was very nice with multiple unique selections that ranged from simple breakfast-like items to lunch. What we ordered was OUTSTANDING, very attentive staff and although the restaurant was somewhat crowded for Mother's Day, which it should be, it was comfortable and well organized. All in al, the experience was wonderful and we look forward to our next visit.

    Food was wonderful but our server was awful. No personality, no manners and had to ask him for coffee, the bill and boxes to go. The whole experience was disappointing. We sat outside and it was beautiful but the lack of service did not show well for the restaurant.

    Food was mediocre for being somewhat pricey. My mom liked the pancakes a lot. I mean we got the huevos rancheros, veggie omelette, calamari, and pancakes. To like mostly the pancakes is a little upsetting. Wait time was a little longer than normal, but I could understand the wait time with the number of large families coming in before us. It was nice to experience, but I’m not too sure we’ll be coming back again. We’ll just have to wait and see.

    We both ordered steak, shrimp and mash with string beans. A full order of oysters and some drinks. The shrimp were over cooked but we cleared our plate mostly. The food was good. The outside seating would have been idea but it was overcast and breezy. The inside was a bit stale and did not carry the same elegant atmosphere. Our server was exceptional as well as the staff.

    Waitress Melissa totally ignored us. Had to asked the hostess to bring us our straw and or drinks. Thier was only my wife and i in her area. Let manager know. Steak was ok for a seafood place but the mixed berry cobbler was great. Paid 92.00

    Unbelievably disappointing. On Tuesday night, May 3rd at about 4:30, the lobby area was very impressive. Our server, Leslie R., was first class. She was very professional - attentive, responsive, but not hovering. The support staff and hostess were all pleasant and professional. Unfortunately the accolades end there. The restaurant is dated and dirty. The carpet needs vacuuming and then a deep cleaning. The banquets are filthy, choose a table instead. The good part on the food: The Seven Deadly Zins from Michael David winery, the calamari appetizer, the iceberg lettuce wedge salad, and the sour dough bread were good. We would order the Calamari and the Iceberg wedge again. However, on a ticket of $212.25 (not including tip) one would expect more to rave about! My husband ordered the "Harris Ranch" rib eye steak with asparagus. The rib eye was thin, thin, thin, and TOUGH. The asparagus followed suit on being tough. The stalks could not be cut with serrated steak knife. As we have eaten rib eye steaks at Harris Ranch we can say with certainty the steak served was not Harris Ranch quality. The asparagus... any chef should know how to cook tender, not mushy asparagus. My husband left half of the "steak" and all but a few head of the asparagus. My order included a Caesar salad, beer-battered prawns and green beans. OMG, how can a Caesar salad be dry? Seriously? I should have ordered the iceberg wedge my husband had. The prawns and green beans were tasteless. Of the 6 prawns I left 3; the green beans tough (not al dente either) AND tasteless. That is quite an accomplishment in my mind. Anyway, I left over half of them. My suggestions: As the restaurant was full, I think based on 2 for 1 dinner coupons, either acknowledge that is their target audience and give up the pretense of being a quality restaurant OR do some serious renovating and find a quality chef. We will not return.

    I consider Scott's my home away from home. So I go as often as possible. I was disappointed with the food this time. My brunch companion ordered a crab melt that was Cajunized. But crab melts aren't supposed to be blackened. The hostess asked if we were celebrating anything. "Yes, a birthday." There was no candle in the dessert, no birthday champagne. I'll be back. But it'll be a while.

    The outdoor patio is best to avoid the noisy inside dining room. It is well sheltered from the wind and it was super windy the evening we were there. Heaters Available when the evening cools down.

    Reception hosts were friendly and accommodating, especially as we were five minutes late to our seating time. Our server, Paula, was prompt, friendly, and on top of all aspects of her job - without being a “character”. We appreciated her attention to detail as well as her sense of timing in checking on us. Food and drink were “good”, but we all agreed that drinks were a bit small (and in the shaken drinks, watery). It was a busy night for a weeknight, so perhaps that may account for the slightly less than excellent experience, but overall it was still a very high B+ and we have no doubts that we will be back again soon.

    Food was amazing and our server was as well. The salmon I had was incredible and my date said the filet and lobster tail she had was tender and delicious as well. Asparagus was perfect and tasty. The cheese plate appetizer was nicely done too. We had a great time. We want to come back

    Food was good, ambiance great. It was cool outdoors but they have heaters which did the trick. The outdoor chairs sit so low that my 2 guests were chest-height to the table. Our waiter offered pillows, which helped.

    Checked in at 1:00, it was 2:20 when server came to TAKE OUR ORDER Unbelievable! Food was delicious when it arrived about 35 minutes later. I We should have complained to a manager, but I was there celebrating my girlfriend’s Birthday 🥳 so we just talked & laughed while waiting. ButTHAT WAS TERRIBLE SERVICE!
