Amazing food and service for our birthday dinner! Our server, Jade was fun and very attentive. Never let down at Scott’s!
Great way to see the beginning of the end of lockdown. Great halibut! Server was great!
I had to send back my food because my egg was overcooked... Wasn't pleased...
There were three (3) of us, initially the drinks were not right, but the waiter took care of everything. Bread was delivered promptly after being seated, which was the only problem, albite minor. The food was very good and the service while somewhat lacking was still better than average. I would return and recommend the restaurant. I have probably had dinner there 10-12 times and lunch twice that many times.
We made our reservations along with notes that this was an Anniversary celebration. We requested their most romantic table. A table with the view of the river and the sunset. Apparently nobody read and prepared for their reservations that evening. We were stuck at a tiny table, in the middle of the restaurant. Surrounded by other people. Nothing was romantic about the location. They simply told us that they couldn’t put two people at the 4 top table. Mind you, all of the perimeter tables with views were 4 top tables. Then to add insult to injury we sat for over 10 minutes before anyone approached our table and introduced themselves as our server. We’ll never go there for a special occasion again.
Beautiful ambiance, good food, great menu. Enjoyed a birthday dinner with friends and will be back.
My wife and I came here for our 5 year anniversary. I made reservations for 5:30 and we were promptly seated when we arrived. That was as good and efficient as the service was, after that it was unattentive in inefficient. Our server Jade was not personable nor be there or serve us. My wife ordered the salmon I ordered the ribeye and although my wife's meal came out fine my ribeye was atrocious. $43 for a ribeye that was honesty an $7 cut of steak at the grocery store. Tons of gristle and fat and connective tissue that wasn't cooked correctly. Sauteed mushrooms on top felt like they had been sitting at the bottom of the warmer all day. Seasoned well but did not come across as fresh. I did not mention this to our server due to her lack of concern for our table and what seemed like forever for her to return to check up on us after our food arrived. We also had our 6 month old with us and so sending it back and waiting for another one would have probably taken longer than what I was willing to wait for. It wasn't busy the atmosphere was pleasant as it always is the view was amazing. You've only been re-opened for a month but I was hoping for a bit better service and quality food; something that I had have come accustomed to whenever I have been here in the past.
Lovely afternoon with girlfriends and wonderful atmosphere to enjoy conversation and delicious meal.
Felt very welcomed. Everyone was very kind. Also got a free bottle for anniversary! Our waitress was beyond wonderful! Thanks for a good night!
We dined inside. It was pleasant and safe from other diners. The food was delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals.
Our waiter was very friendly and took great care of us! The food was very fresh and tasted great! I would definitely like to go back and enjoy sitting in the outdoor area!
To celebrate my wife's birthday, I placed a reservation for 7PM. When we arrived, we were told there would be a 15-20 minute wait for indoor seating and approximately 45-50 minutes for outdoor. It was explained that we were reserving the check-in time slot; which I don't understand and they were unable to explain. As my wife and I talked over what we wanted to do, the two employees who initially told us our options talked amongst themselves, appeared to be arguing or in a disagreement with another employee then walked away without saying a word to us or checking us in.
After a moment another employee approached us and asked if we had been helped or checked in. We were completely thrown off guard. The employees were huffing and puffing as if they were in disagreement and their body language with awful. They were not welcoming and gave us the impression that WE were a burden.
We've dined at this location in the past and it was enjoyable. However something about setting a reservation and being told we were to wait, then being ignored by staff at check in rubbed me the wrong way. Especially when we were celebrating a birthday.
Once we got past the check-in process and were seated, everything else was nice. The waitress was great and the food was excellent.
I wish I knew out servers name. The service was personable and efficient. Our server was kind and funny. It was a coworkers and my birthday celebration, and he made it very special. From extra umbrellas to birthday dessert as well as champagne and taking our photo the dining experience was perfect.
Waited one hour and I had a reservation!! Food quality is ok
Best first date ever!! The food was the best I have ever had. The special was pricy, but I would get it again.
Dinner was pleasant but for the price you pay, I expected a bit better service. Waiter seemed annoyed to help us.
Great location and views. Love this place in spring
All the food came out at the same time. I expected the salad to come out first but, was delivered with the rest of the meal. The timing for the service was not good as it took 45 minutes to get the food.
The service was amazing!
It was good except they didn’t put wine in ice bucket until it was nearly gone!
It was ok except windy. Very long wait for food and service.
Good food and value......one of our favorite dining locations.
This is a lovely riverside setting with a large patio area. We felt very comfortable in spite of the pandemic. Tables are well spaced and scrubbed down between parties. Service is friendly without being intrusive. Menu is mostly but not exclusively seafood; something for everyone.
Scott's was consistent in it's service and food as they re-open for business.
Great food! Outside was windy but great views with plenty of heat sources and nice fire pits. Excellent service and friendly staff. Highly recommend... For any occasion.
Very nice waitress. I hadn't been to Scotts in a few years. Therefore, surprised the place hasn't had a makeover. Still pretty dull ambiance.
The shellfish tower was delicious, and definitely a great deal. It really had a bit of everything on it, and that’s very rare to find at a restaurant. Our server Matt was extremely nice and accommodated every request.
I really don’t understand why there some negative reviews on Yelp. Personally, I’ve never had a bad experience at this restaurant.
47 Anniversary
Our server was very personable and kind. She made my mom's Birthday very special by lighting a candle and allowing us to sing Happy Birthday to her. The food was wonderful and fresh!
So happy that Scott’s is open again. Food and service was excellent. Would have been better if items from pre-pandemic were available (applewood smoked oysters and jerk swordfish). Overall, a great dinner experience as usual
I have been going to Scott’s for years but it continues to get worse and worse. This time my mother-in-law ordered the shrimp and grits. She has had them before. They were horrible. The grits were undercooked and the shrimp seemed boiled. She sent them back and the new shrimp and grits were just as bad. My veggies were boring and without flavor. They seemed boiled and lifeless. Very disappointing!
Nice place for lunch and dinner, especially when you can sit outside.
It was for Easter Brunch.
Everything was great. No complaints whatsoever or even suggestions.
A perfect afternoon
Wonderful Easter Brunch! The service was very accommodating and great!
Our party enjoyed surf & turf and cioppino, both were excellent. Our wait person Miguel was fantastic! It is also a beautiful location and restaurant.
Scott’s Seafood on the River is one of Fav Restaurants. My husband & I celebrated our 7 Year Wedding Anniversary. We had a great time! Our server was excellent! Thank you all so much for our champagne to celebrate our Anniversary 🥰🍾🥂🎉🎊
Scott's Seafood on the River is an excellent place to have a quiet date, or a large family gathering, better yet a company dinner party. The staff is well informed of the menu and can describe dishes in a mouthwatering way. I would recommend Scott's to anyone.
mediocre food and service. Nothing special, would not go back
It was the perfect place to go for a little getaway.
Great scenery. Little noise. Good food and service!
