Scott's Seafood Grill & Bar - Folsom
Best of seafood goodness in Northern CA. We keep coming back!
Always good food and ambiance.
Always consistently good. Great service as well. If you ever have a problem with something you have ordered, they will make it rights
The food was excellent and the inside is nice but dated. Outside of building is falling apart but they are supposed to move to new digs off Sutter st in the historical district
Scotts is always what we think of for a nice dinner out. We really look forward to the new Sutter Street Folsom location opening. Its amazing the current older spot is still standing! We have many memories there and look forward to new ones. My only hope is that the quality and service remain the highest and that it could be a bit quieter in the main dining area and that the Bar remains fun and lively! We would love to have a traditional Sunday Brunch option at the new location.
We went to Scotts to celebrate my promotion. The hostess was super rude - I requested a booth n she flat out said no even though the restaurant was relatively empty. The food was terrible - service was slow. Definitely ruined my celebration.
My only complaint is that I was charged 3.50 for tap soda water. This was remedied after I said something, however it should not have been an issue to begin with. The food , service, and ambiance were good. The building is showing a lot of wear but I understand the business is moving to new diggs in Folsom soon.
Service was excellent. Food was beautifully presented and quality and taste was the best. Highly recommend.
Food was delicious and service was great! We had a small issue with our bill regarding a groupon but the manager was super helpful and fixed it right away! The petrale dore is our favorite. It’s super delicious and perfect every time! We come frequently for beautiful fish dishes but my husband enjoys the bistro steak with chimmichurri. It’s always cooked perfectly!
Service and food was excellent. We can’t wait until the restaurant moves to its new location.
Server was absolutely wonderful! She made the experience pleasant without being intrusive. Best scallops I’ve ever had!
Once again lunch at Scott’s was fabulous! Great food, service, ambiance and a free birthday dessert for my friend!
Everyone enjoyed their meal!💜
Delicious as always. Corn chowder, halibut, and fried shrimp all prepared to perfection. Thank you, Scott’s!
Very friendly and attentive staff.
Overpriced! Food was average at best. So sad because I was really looking forward to it.
We had our 1 year anniversary dinner at Scott's Seafood and we couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. The food was amazing, the service was spectacular and the ambiance was perfect for what we were hoping for in celebrating our anniversary together. And the prices weren't bad either for some great quality food!
We are 4, relatively older people. 70’s 80’s. We were seated next to the bar which was having a lively happy hour. Unfortunately we did not realize it until we were too late to switch. The noise was horrendous hence it was difficult to hear each other. Needless to say, that detracted significantly from our enjoyment. (By the way, there were empty tables in quieter areas.)
We were greeted abd seated as soon as we got there. Food has always been good there. Drinks were tasty as well. We enjoy the ambiance and have been many times for special occasions. This location seems a little dated. Could use some remodeling. Our server was a little snooty and fake nice is how we felt. Almost like they have been there forever and just kind of get through the job. We have had other great service on other occasions. This time just seemed ok. We love Scott's but really miss the Monroe location most.
Always on spot with everything! This favorite place for occasions and just a crab salad with chowder. I never pass the chance to join them for an amazing dinner?
Hostesses not friendly. Waitress was amazing. Food was incredible. The restaurant was unbelievably loud and we were seated next to a large party who felt like it was okay to yell up and down their large table throughout their socializing. No exaggeration. Literally yelling as though they were at a park. My husband and I could barely hear each other talking. It was our anniversary and it was a miserable experience. The only saving part was the waitress and the food. Will not go back again nor recommend it. No where near the reputation of the Walnut Creek and Palo Alto restaurants we both loved. Prices not worth the atmosphere.
Excellent food and service
Sadly, Scott's Seafood in Folsom has gone WAY downhill. Last time I visited was a couple years ago, and the food was really good. Pricey, but good. This last time, I was aghast at what they served me, and at these prices. The halibut I was served was bland and tasteless, and horrible presentation. Thrown on a plate with dull, plain steamed green beans. I would have been disappointed if this was served to me at Denny's! But at these prices? Good grief.
They are clearly resting on their laurels from glory days gone by. The restaurant is worn and tired, inside and out, badly in need of updating. Mostly senior citizens, no doubt there for the early bird, and who still recall the days when Scott's was chic and worthy of the pretentious pricing.
No, I won't be back. There are much better options in Folsom for fine dining. Sad to see an icon like this tumble so far.
The portion size for the main entree, speaking on the meat was very small almost like a sample size. For the high cost of the main entree I thought it would have been more, although it was very tasty and a really good quality of meat.
Took an hour to get our food. People that arrived after my wife and me, got their food before us. The manager was nice though. He gave us a gift certificate for our troubles. I could tell he was very sorry for the super delayed service.
We love Scott’s they never disappoint, we both had the Halibut and yum. Eat here you will not be disappointed.
Great service and food!
The Oyster Rockefeller was not very good. The spinach was slush; there was no bacon that you could taste; the hollendase sauce was tasteless; and the final product sat in water. Yuck!
We have been wanting to go for a while. Finally made it for our belated anniversary dinner. Beyond our expectations for fresh seafood! We will be back and can’t wait for the new location to open.
we have always had good to great experiences at this Scott's, We live closer to the Scott's on the river but after one bad and one HORRIBLE experience there we will go elsewhere or go out of our way to go to the Scott's in Folsom. our server was GREAT, the meal was also great! we'll be back for sure!
The restaurant needs sprucing up. It is dated. I would recommend Scott's in Sacramento before the Folsom location.
Yummy as always. The early bird special is quite the deal but you have to ask for the special menu. They do not automatically give it to you. Checkout their website for more specials! We love Scott’s. The food is very consistent. My fav is the sole.
Food was great, prices have gone up since our last visit,
Maria did a great job with her friendliness and accuracy!
The oysters and calamari were good. Entrees were a different story. We ordered the seafood sauté which was salty and the seafood fettuccine was overly sour and noodles weren’t cook well enough. Our waitress was awesome so that’s a big plus. Very disappointed since it was our first time and we were looking forward to the experience.
Scott's is our "go to" place for fresh seafood and it rarely disappoints. On this occasion I ordered the monkfish special and my wire had the petrale sole. Her sole was perfectly done and very tasty. My monkfish was a bit under-done for my taste and it was served on a bed of rice topped by a green salad with miso dressing. The salad was the high point for me. Service was extremely prompt and professional. Their wine list had many choices for those of us who just want a glass or two. I must not forget to mention that Scott's serves the best sourdough french bread this side of San Francisco. Prices are reasonable for fresh fish. Ambiance is shabby due to plans to move in the near future.
I have ordered the Crab Louis many many times. Although I ordered the large for $21.00. The salad continues to get smaller and the amount of crab has become almost ridiculous. They even only put 1/2 a boiled egg. Either raise the price of the salad or just don't call it an entree salad. That disappointed me.
Fish and chips had the best fish ever. The chips, not so much. Good service and big booths.
We are long time customers of Scotts; however the past couple times it has been poor quality food. My last fish Ono two days ago was very dull, little flavor...What is going on there?
As usual, good food, adequate service and a great dessert.
Scott's is always a favorite for a special occasion. The food is delicious, service excellent, and perfect for celebration. We celebrated 36th anniversary with a friend and had a fabulous evening
