I've heard many rave reviews of Scotts from friends and others. We must be spoiled because I did not find it that remarkable for the food (petrole had too much egg, not enough crisp) or for the service (our order was incorrect the first time although the server apologized profusely and brought the corrected dinner quickly). The senior discount which we'd applied for on our first visit that night was not applied. But the oysters were delicious, the drinks were fine, and the expediency of service to make certain we made our concert time were exceptional. We would certainly try Scotts again when in Folsom and would recommend it to others.
The service and quality of food were excellent. The sauces on our entrees were delicious and unique. My swordfish was flavorful and tender. Our server was very attentive and delightful and social.
Excellent food and service as usual. I ordered the halibut special and it was creative, beautifully presented and delicious. In fact, I've never been disappointed with the special of the day...except when they've run out of it. Oh yes, and the crab bisque is not to be missed!!
Seemed to be understaffed this evening. Got second glass of wine order after dinner was over. One dinner was not delivered when others arrived. This is not normal for this location as food was great
Wait Staff was amazing but it took too long for the food to arrive. When food arrived it was awesome. I would not mind if Folsom location moved cuz parking is soooo limited in that space.
Fish is fresh and well prepared.
Service was polite and pleasant
It was a good family dinner
Haven’t been to Scott’s in Folsom for years....it was fabulous and we can’t wait to come back. Everything was perfect from service to drinks to food. Delicious!
Had the steak and lobster and was quite surprised by the portions. Enough to share and definitely worth every penny. Would love to find a Scott’s by my house. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I would strongly recommend eating at this restaurant. A+
Everything was awesome. Including the Kentucky Derby👏.
Good seafood well prepared in a nice atmosphere. Would return.
Scott's has been a favorite of our since they opened in Folsom! We never has had a bad meal or service experience. I've used the large group room for meetings and parties, and enjoyed the ease of the experience. Great food, Great staff.
Sharing my birthday with family and special friends was wonderful. We all loved the food and the waiter, Vince, was especially professional. We will definitely return; however, we live closer to the Scott's Seafood Grill and Bar near the river and in the summer we will probably go there. Thank you SO much for a memorable experience and catering to our every need. (The pomegranate martini was the BEST ever! Thank you, bartender, for all that vodka.)
Some of the best fish that either my wife and I have ever had. The service was outstanding
First of all I love seafood and Scott seems to get it right every time anything from the soul to the salmon
Great food and our server was very attentive and helpful.
My friends bday, we both loved the food and wine. We will come back again.
I have not been to Scott's Seafood in quite some time. I remember food was always very good. This time food was very average - at best. First thing-first impression, "Uh-oh I wonder how this is going to be?" Walking up right away we noticed the building is in desperate need of repair. The wood on the building and railings is rotting away, there are chunks of wood that are completely rotted out and gone. Once inside, the metal sea sculptures are really cool. But the carpet is dirty, chairs old and worn (I could go on) and then we sat down, looked up at the ceiling and there were giant cobwebs everywhere. We were seated by a window that overlooks the outside deck area. Again, all I saw was a lot rotting wood on the railings/wall and area where the deck joins that look like it would just completely come apart. Just by appearances of the restaurant alone even before the food, I was really questioning our choice of restaurants.
Our waitress was very nice and helpful. But the food. Had the calamari, it was tender but basic, the sauces that came with it were very bland, couldn't even tell what they were. Had a mixed greens salad and there was a lot of lettuce that was brown on the edges or slimy. Also had crab cakes, they were just okay. I do not think I will be returning to Scott's anytime soon.
As always, Scott's has excellent seafood and wine. The atmosphere is nice casual, and customers wearing casual clothes are just as welcome as business people.
The service is great.
We had a lovely dinner, as usual. I did feel, however, that we were being rushed.
It was our 29th Anniverasary and we couldn’t have had a better meal to celebrate! The Lemondrop drinks, oysters, main course and dessert were all amazing. We will definitely be back for more!!!
linen, silverware, classy joint, excellent cioppino
We were looking forward to a birthday dinner for my mom. Unfortunately, the waiter did not like the fact that we asked for the early bird menu. Also he was quite unattentive for the early hour we came at given the fact that there was not many people seated yet. The food was average. The fish smelled fishy. We expected a lot more from a nice restaurant in our town.
Went to Scott's to celebrate my BD. Excellent choice. Food and service were great. Looking forward to their new location and building.. We had oysters and DF shrimp for a appetizer. Split a Caesar salad. My wife had the petrale sole, and loved it. I had the special fish of the day, Monchong.. Will return..
Celebrated a Birthday at this fine restaurant. The food and the service were outstanding!
Our server, Beth, was great. Even though she was busy, she was attentive and took good care of us. Our meals were well prepared and quite tasty. Seemed a little loud, but that might have been because we were seated in the middle. We’ll be going back soon!
Scott's is one of our favorite spots. Went most recently for our 25th wedding anniversary and Vince (our waiter) made for an enjoyable evening. Very attentive without disrupting our meal. We had a couple next to us that was "needy". Completely different way of serving them, so he is very adept at reading people and providing exemplary service to all. The young woman who greeted us was wonderful as well. Meal was incredible. Calamari was outstanding, crab cakes were good but nothing exceptional, but the scallops and my fillet were phenomenal. I asked for my steak rare and it was perfect. The scallops were seared to perfection and were not tough or rubbery. Swordfish was cooked perfectly as well. The desserts were good, but this is the only place Scott's could improve. The creme brulee was good and I can't remember what my wife had. All in all, a great evening and a great place to celebrate our special date. I can't wait for the new location as there current location is showing its' age. I highly recommend it and would also recommend asking to be seated in Vince's area as he was truly outstanding.
Our family chose this restaurant for Sunday Easter brunch after looking at their online menu. Unfortunately the menu was not accurate. The prime rib and grilled veggies were outstanding. The desserts need improvement. The service was very good for a busy day, and the champagne was flowing.
I love Scott’s, however the brunch on Easter Sunday was just ok. Some things were over cooked. Lighting was bad where the food was located. Desserts were too large.
I love this place! It is my go to fave. Great service great food and great wine list. Absolutely worth every penny.
Best fish & chips outside of England.
My husband and I both ordered a favorite of ours, the petrale sole. It was the best ever! Accompanied by a Caesar salad and a glass of Chardonnay, it was a great meal.
Everything about Scott's Seafood was very good. The problem is after the reservations made through Open Table we tried to pay part of the bill with an Open Table Gift Card and the manager said he had never heard of Open Table. He tried several times but their system rejected it because it didn't recognize Open Table. This is the 2nd time we have had trouble with Open Table Gift Cards. So be where before you try to use one!!!!!!!!!!
The only problem we had was that the hostess gave our table to someone else because she didn't read the names carefully.
Otherwise, the food was excellent, the service was stellar. Scott's never disappoints.
Always delivering on consistent food and service! We love the smoked oysters. We look forward to their relocation to historic Sutter Street later this year.
Service was eh, our waitress brought out our salad and entree at the same time. They also ran out of the special. We will try it again and hope for better service.
Scotts is always reliable for excellent seafood. the Crab bisque is great too. They will be moving to a new location in Old Folsom this fall, so looking forward to that. The current building is showing its age on the exterior.
Food, service and atmosphere were great!
