Scott's Seafood Grill & Bar - Folsom Ratings and Reviews
Have had very good experiences here before, but this time I was really disappointed in the food. I only tasted the scallop appetizer, something seems really off with it. The seafood bisque just seemed like tomato soup....spicy, it was good, just didn't see like it had much of a seafood taste to it if any
Food and service were fantastic. Enjoyed the variety of choices on the menu. Place is a little dated. Tables are placed very close together and we had a loud party next to the two of us. We were out on a romantic date so it was hard to have a quiet conversation. We will be back probably for dinner before a show at Harris Center.
Delicious dinner. GREAT service from Michelle who explained the oyster sampler knowledgeably when we ordered it. She's a real pro, at Scott's for 17 years. Worth the visit here for the fabulous bread. Nice presentation on Pacific Rim Salad with ahi. Water refilled without asking.
Why bother telling OpenTable/Scott's that you have a special occasion? The restaurant totally ignores it. (second time for us).
Waiting area is always crowded and hostess seems overwhelmed. Bad traffic pattern here.
We'll be back for the food and, hopefully, a table in Michelle's section.
I had been looking forward to trying this place for over 10 years, and finally my lovely wife came through with a Groupon that we could not ignore.
It exceeded every possible expectation. Go, go, go....But be sure to use Open Table to make your reservation.
Scott’s is getting a little long in the tooth, but I understand they’re moving next year. The food was tasty, but the ambiance is lacking compared to OAKLAND and/or SF. The waiter was attentive, but didn’t come across as sincere. The cost is on the high side and normally the staff is very warm and friendly.
Very crowded. Had a 6:30 reservation and we were not seated until 7pm. Very, very noisy. Hard to have a conversation with others at my table. I was a Scotts regular in SF and Palo Alto. But very disappointed in the Folsom location. I probably never go there again.
THe restuarant needs to be updated. Very loud, old fashioned decor. Disappointed in my Halibut dish, Lacked flavor, Mango Salsa topping on rice took over powered other . Vegetable was unevenly cooked, some brocolli was overcooked, other pieces cooked properly, however over buttered, and tasted more like frozed instead of fresh veggies. flavors.Orderedv"Bunea Vista" Irish Coffee. Buena VIsta heats the glass prior to making the drink. They did not do that at Scotts so the drink was luke warm. Caesar Salad was not made with Hearts of Romaine and could have been more flavorful.
Food was great. Amazing oysters, and great surf and turf. Loved the food, and the price wasn't bad for what we got. The service was not up to par for the price of food. Out server was disinterested, and took a long time to greet, and follow up. It was our anniversary, and aside from a "I heard you have an anniversary", there was nothing else special about the experience. We almost felt like we were bothering her by being there.
Had some issues with the actual order of our food and how it was made. The manager made up for it with a gift certificate to come back and try them again, which we will do. Upscale restaurant and prices reflect that. The Calamari salad with a citrus vinaigrette and mango salsa was terrific.
This is one of our special go to restaurants. We always bring our out of town guests to this restaurant. The food and service is always first rate. Our server this time was Kevin and he was outstanding. We can always count on Scott's. Great job to everyone.
A little disappointed overall in the food we ordered. Bread was not warm & got stale because of the air conditioning being so high. On the list of all vegetables that could be served, broccoli and cauliflower seem to be on the bottom of that list; for the price of our entree, thought we could have better vegetables. The butter accompanying my lobster was not hot, just lukewarm.
