Scott's Bar & Grill Ratings and Reviews
They were out of Rack of Lamb on their special menue at 7:00pm on Valentine's Day.
They was out of a brand of wine that my wife usually orders there.
They was out of bread baskets because it was busy.
A bit disappointing on this very special day and I was not really impressed with their Tamahawk Pork chop which at $27 you would expect better and I am usually very easy to please.
Oh yes, and my wife had to send her salmon back because it was overcooked.
Overall, it was a Valentine's Day Flop at Scott's Bar & Grill this year...
Maddy our waitress made the whole meal very enjoyable (she even gave us a suggestion to re-heating our leftovers). The vegetables on my entrée were terrible and for the cost of the meal that is not good. Chef's need to be a little neater in their presentation on the plate.
My husband and I came for any early Valentine’s Day. The restaurant was busy (we had a resveration) and we were seated timely. Every employee we saw greeted us warmly with a smile.
We could see the restaurant filling up and our server let us know our food was taking a little longer than normal. No big deal. Appreciated him communicating with us. Our server regularly checked on us and did a great job. Food was delicious!
Came for dinner, but Happy Hours are better.
Vegetables were spongy, not attractive, swimming in kitchen liquid (?), black rice - hard, should be mixed with other grain rice. Vegetables appear to get complaints from others.
Price wise, quite 'over priced' for quantity/quality (by 25%). It would be nice if side salad included in price.
My guy and I had been wanting to try Scott's for awhile and finally did. I had made reservations as there's usually a long wait. We got right in upon arriving. The restaurant was busy but not packed. The server was nice, but really not attentive. It took 10 minutes to get the water and iced tea we ordered. It took 20 for the shot of tequila I ordered. We were asked if we wanted bread and we did. She didn't bring it until we asked again. I ordered steelhead with brussel sprouts and potatoes. He ordered steak with scalloped potatoes. Mine was ok. I couldn't taste the lime sauce and there were 4 brussels among a bed of carrots and beets. I left hungry. Even having a side salad to start. My guy's dinner was really good. The steak was perfect and the potatoes were amazing. The individual walking around refilling water passed us by multiple times. I had an empty glass most of my dinner. I attempted to call out and get his attention several times and was ignored. The waitress didn't come to check on us until it was time to pay the bill. And once paid, we left. I will probably try it again in the future. But after tipping our total was over $100 for 2 people and I kind of expect great service and a filling dinner when paying that much. Honestly I have had better experiences at Red Robin.
While our food was acceptable, it was nothing special and not even the best bar food we've experienced. Re ambiance, there is none. It's a large place and very crowded and loud! We had a reservation and still waited to be seated for at least a good 20 minutes. On the upside, our server was excellent.
For the past 2 years, 2 couples have celebrated their special occasions at Scoots. Our special occasion this year (25th wedding anniversary for both couplrs) wasn't acknowledged, last year, we even got a card at the table and a card for thed birthday petson. They were out of bacon bloody Mary drinks, all 4 of us ordered them. The regular Blooby Mary didnt have olives, just celery. Olives were promised, but never came. Food was still amazing. But most likely will chose a different place to celebrate upcoming birthdays. We wanted to ferl special, likee begore, but wee didnt it.
I've eaten at Scott's for over 25 years. The service and the food have remained excellent over that time. My personal favorites that thankfully don't change are the French onion soup, pea salad and Key Lime Pie. Menu has variety to fit most budgets and there is no charge for sharing. Nice atmosphere, great staff, excellent food at any meal.
We were excited to get reservations for Christmas evening, so we were expecting a dining experience above Dennys or the corner fast food. The "holiday menu" was limited , which is understandable, but being limited one would hope that each menu item would be expertly prepared. Afterall there were a lot bodies in the kitchen and what looked like a full service staff.. That was not the case.
Two of us had the Cowboy Steak barely chewable and mine was completely rare, ordering med rare.
All the potatoes at the table were barely warm. My husband had the Salmon which he said tasted like it was leftover. All in all very disappointing especially for the price. The service was good.
