We had a group of 8 and everyone had a great time. Waitress seemed a little stressed out, could smile more... etc.
Great service, very friendly and attentive server.
Our food took FOREVER to come out, our food was over cooked and I'm some cases burnt, and it wasn't made to the specifications we requested. We come here often so it was very disappointing. The waiter seemed like he had better things to do and hardly attended to our table which is why we could not request even to send back the burnt food. This is absolutely not a,typical experience here so I can only assume between the waiter and the kitchen staff there was a problem that night.
Food was well over cooked
We came to Scott’s from a recommendation from a family friend. Made reservations, we were greeted with welcome and was happy we got led to our table fairly quickly. But I requested not to be seated in a booth, because my mom was disabled and was not able to just sit and scoot over but was shown to one. Got fixed right away, got our drinks in orderly fashion, but unfortunately, I think we’re forgotten by our waitress. We waited and waited while people around got served, got their salads and their meal. Had to go to the front desk to ask, I heard they are usually busy and I understood that, but notice on my watch it has been al least 30 mins before we saw our waitress again. She apologized and we gave her our order. Took another maybe 30 mins or so to get our meal because they were busy. Yes, I think I said that again, I was really hoping by the time we got our order my steak would be perfect (as I was told, they have great steaks) to my disappointment, it was really dry and not just mine but also the rest of us who ordered their steak. I finally decided I had enough, I kept quiet and and asked for our check. Did I say they were very busy? Waited, and waited my guests decided to wait in the car while I tried pay. Didn’t see our waitress and I finally brought it up to the front to pay. Overall after all that, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Need to hire more wait staff.
Our waiter was very personable and helpful. Great energy. I wish I could remember his name, but we were there at noon, sitting in back of the restaurant, adjacent to the kitchen.
Scott’s is not what it used to be. The last few times have been disappointing
We were at Scott's for Easter dinner. Our server was so gracious, even though she'd been on shift since 9AM. Not her fault but we seated next to a large party & our food took awhile. My peppercorn salmon was dried out out & the other food on my plate, lukewarm. I would have sent it back if I wasn't so hungry. Overall we usually like Scott's, but to be honest the food isn't as good as it once was.
I liked my ability to make an online reservation. It was quickly confirmed and followed up on via your telephone call. Our hostess and waitperson were friendly and met all of our needs. The food was wonderful especially since I was with two picky eaters. I have visited your restaurant many of times and for many different occasions and have never been disappointed.
The brunch menu included some very good creative options. The French toast was the best I ever had. The scamples were very good as well. The crab and avocado Benedict was disppointing, very little crab and the eggs were under cooked.
We've gone to Scott's for lunch quite often but had never gone for Easter brunch. We had reservations for the dining room but saw that the bar area was empty so chose to sit there. It's more comfortable and less noisy. The food was delicious! I had crab and avocado Benedict that was super good! The eggs were done just right, lots of runny yolk! The potatoes on the side had great seasonings. We always have lavender cosmos when we go, can't beat them!! The wait staff was very attentive and quick. Our drinks came quickly as did our food and the waiter filled our water when it was just half empty. It was a great dining experience!
We arrived earlier than anticipated but they were able to accommodate us right away. Dillon, our server was very friendly and responsive to our every need. Food was very good. Will go back very soon.
We had dinner at lunch on Saturday to celebrate Easter. We ordered steak for our dinner as we have eaten it there before. The dinner was delicious, the steak cooked perfictly and the asparagas cooked just right. A suprise was the extremely yummy potatoes au gratin that came with the cowboy's ribeye. Our waiter was skilled and charming. We thought it was a perfict Easter dinner.
Old high school friend was visiting Seattle on business. He had limited free time. We live on Whidbey Island , so we decided Scott's would be the place to meet. The food and service impressed our guests (enough that they're hoping to return with family). The staff didn't rush us, allowing us to enjoy our one evening together. Scott's Bar and Grill is our go-to restaurant.
Service was good. I had the almond crusted scallops, The scallops were tasteless.
Friend and I come here monthly. Not sure why, we seem to get seated away from everyone, NW corner. Is probably because we do ask for quiet section and/or plenty of light. Or because it’s kind of early and there’s only certain servers stationed at a specific area. We make it work and do not ask for a different table. Just curious. Some of your servers could be more attentive and friendlier.
Also my friend order coffee with desert. Always, coffee is really strong and sometimes arrive tad cold.
Overall, we will continue to dine monthly.
This was one of the poorest experiences ever, in that I had a reservation, and waited almost 30 minutes for a table, though there were maybe 10 tables occupied and at least 20 open. What ever was going on was unacceptable, and the hostess should have been forthright with the situation other than saying "we will let you know." When I am going to spend $200 or so on dinner, I expect better and did not get it this evening. Probably our last visit there.
I was not pleased with the service or quality of food this time. We have eaten at Scott's numerous times so I am not sure why it was off today. Would I recommend to someone ele, I am not sure.
Scotts is always at the top of our list for places to eat - the menu is varied & extensive but the best thing, the waitstaff is ALWAYS accommodating to the customer. Everything we ask for is always met with a resounding "yes, we can do that!" I don't know of any other restaurant in the area where service and customer requests are accepted with a more positive attitude. By all accounts the servers, the management and the staff all like their jobs and it shows. That says a lot to the customer. Thank you, Scotts for showing us how a great restaurant should operate and putting the customer first!
Service by Julie excellent; not too intrusive nor too unattentive. Ambience calls for fireplaces that work , candles, or better overhead lighting in raised dining area.
We have never been disappointed in the delicious food, superior wait staff and prompt service.
It is always a treat to visit Scott's Bar & Grill.
nice size portion of coho salmon, perfectly cooked. Fish & chips were average; good size portion.
Scott’s is definitely my “go to” pick for good food and great service. However, my most recent visit was a bit disappointing. Service was much slower than usual, and the normal welcoming feel wasn’t there either. None of the staff seemed happy that day. I noticed that my favorite Dijon chicken was a much smaller portion than in the past, and the seasonable veggies seemed to be from a bag. I’m hoping that this was a “one-off” occurrence, and will go back at a different time of the day, to see if I simply came during a shift change or bad time of the day....
Since it was St. Patrick's Day, I made a reservation. We arrived on time for our 7 pm reservation, but it took them 15 minutes to get us seated. After we had been seated. It took another 15 minutes or more to get any drinks or service. It seemed even after we had been waited on that our order was not important to the.
The food was decent. My really liked her cheese burger. My pasta was ok, but not great.
We have dined at Scott's before and really liked it. This time it was not really all that good. It was rather Ho Hum. This was the first date night my wife and I had in a long time and I wanted
it to be special. However, the dinner was not all that special. The rest of the evening was but not this.
Wonderful… Just wonderfully
Out of many beers at 4:00 P M , no really "local brews" such as Diamond Knott, Skookum, Hales, ITS , Salads Excellent, Prime Rib ordered Med Rare but
arrived 70% Med/well 30% Med Rare, Waitress excellent, shared concern over non-med rare prime rib but no offer of offset or replacement....Potatoes stiff like colcannon, Steamed Broccoli
mushy...possible holdovers from lunch.... As usual nice atmosphere....
Great salad selections that aren't just the run of the mill. Great service, always attentive. It can be a bit difficult to hear your companions when the restaurant is busy. Great french onion soup!
Crab stuffed sole was tender & tasty, as was the Parm chicken, large portion. Restaurant accommodates requests for sides substitution. Good service.
Our family has been going to Scott's for years. We enjoy all the menu specials and the food is generally amazing. For lunch I recently ordered their typically amazing Tomato Bisque. I think the recipe must've changed since I ordered it last. It was disappointing. Everything else, including the service, were exceptional as usual.
Food was very good . Lights way too bright for any real atmosphere , waiter slow but nice
Always a good meal
We went there for my birthday and it was,our first time. The ambiance, service, noise level, seating was very good, comfortable and we enjoyed our dinner. I made our reservation on Open Table and I'm glad I did. When we got there at 7:30 For dinner on a Weds night there was a 20 min wait. But we didn't have to. The only thing I was bummed about is they ran out of Prime rib and the chocolate cake was too sweet and rich for me. But everything was excellent.
Our experience at Scotts was great. They were really busy, but we were seated quickly in a nice booth. The service was excellent. They took our order promptly, and the food arrived much sooner than we expected. The server was friendly and really efficient with any request we had. The prime rib dinner was especially good. We will return!
We usually enjoy Scott's, but they had an off night. Poorly trained waiter and food was mediocre at best. Big disappointment for a restaurant that is usually reliable. Bummer.
Normally we have good food and service here but it’s usually just my husband and I. On this occasion we had 7 in our party and they just couldnt handle it. We were seated at 6:15 and ordered within about 30 minutes One in our party had an 8pm appointment just about 5 minutes away. At 7:30 we asked about our food and they said it would be just a few more minutes. Unfortunately it was even longer so he had to have it brought with a box and package it up to go right away. We all waited even longer for the rest of ours but mine, which all I had was the steak blue cheese salad was another 5 minutes after everyone else’s. The food was all good though.
Great experience. Our waiter was excellent!!! His name was Thomas. He greeted us with a big smile and was very attentive!
Highly recommend Scott's!
Wonderful service and amazing food....the best
A casual dining experience with above average food quality. The chefs are showcased for all to see as they prepare your food. IMO, kitchen needs to be of higher quality appearance. Kind of a diner/cafe feel in it's present state. Good was good. Had the surf and turf. The ribeye was perfect. For some reason that cut is hard to cook correctly in many other restaurants. So much I hesitate to even order it. Scott's has it nailed. The hand shredded horseradish (like shredded carrots) was perfect. The shrimp however was over steamed. Would've been better grilled. Restaurant used to have white table cloths for that nice upscale feel but for some reason not used anymore. Furnishings are showing their age. Definitely needs an update.
Our last two visits have convinced us that Scott's pricing, value, quality and service surpass other restaurants in Edmonds for our taste and budget. If this continues they have our business, but if it declines we are gone.
We had the absolute worst waiter. We saw him twice the whole time. We had to get our own water, salads took almost 30 minutes from time of ordering and the food was cold. I was a waitress in college and this guy's service was abominable! This job is NOT a good fit for him.
On the positive side, the hostesses and the manager were amazing. They comped our meals, kept checking with us and apologized profusely. We will definitely come back but will ask to have a different waiter!
