Scott's Bar & Grill Ratings and Reviews
While our food was acceptable, it was nothing special and not even the best bar food we've experienced. Re ambiance, there is none. It's a large place and very crowded and loud! We had a reservation and still waited to be seated for at least a good 20 minutes. On the upside, our server was excellent.
For the past 2 years, 2 couples have celebrated their special occasions at Scoots. Our special occasion this year (25th wedding anniversary for both couplrs) wasn't acknowledged, last year, we even got a card at the table and a card for thed birthday petson. They were out of bacon bloody Mary drinks, all 4 of us ordered them. The regular Blooby Mary didnt have olives, just celery. Olives were promised, but never came. Food was still amazing. But most likely will chose a different place to celebrate upcoming birthdays. We wanted to ferl special, likee begore, but wee didnt it.
I've eaten at Scott's for over 25 years. The service and the food have remained excellent over that time. My personal favorites that thankfully don't change are the French onion soup, pea salad and Key Lime Pie. Menu has variety to fit most budgets and there is no charge for sharing. Nice atmosphere, great staff, excellent food at any meal.
We were excited to get reservations for Christmas evening, so we were expecting a dining experience above Dennys or the corner fast food. The "holiday menu" was limited , which is understandable, but being limited one would hope that each menu item would be expertly prepared. Afterall there were a lot bodies in the kitchen and what looked like a full service staff.. That was not the case.
Two of us had the Cowboy Steak barely chewable and mine was completely rare, ordering med rare.
All the potatoes at the table were barely warm. My husband had the Salmon which he said tasted like it was leftover. All in all very disappointing especially for the price. The service was good.
We always enjoy coming to Scott's, with or without a reservation. I made my Christmas Day reservation several weeks in advance, requesting a booth. None available. This always seems to happen. I don't know why I bother making a seating request. We ended up in the lounge. The restaurant seats aren't comfortable, so I opted for open seating in the lounge to get the more comfortable seats, and better spacing between tables. But get some new steak knives, or sharpen the ones you have. Arnie's has the same problem. I can't figure out how tender steak or prime rib can be so difficult to cut with a steak knife, but we order medium rare, so the knife gets more of a challenge. It's embarrassing when the entire table shakes when you're just trying to cut your steak. Anyway, overall, I enjoy your restaurant, and have been coming in for years. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (next year, ask Santa for new steak knives!) Ha, ha.
We have loved Scott's for years going way back to when it was Clinkerdaggers. The food is typically delicious - good selection too! It was Christmas Eve, a snowy evening & fairly busy. The staff is always friendly. Our server Madison was warm & bubbly! We will always go back 😄
I've been going to Scott's for years. I like the quality of the food, the variety and the service. Over the past several years it does seem like the interior, although it's been painted and updated, is definitely showing wear. The last few times the bathrooms have also had pieces of hand towels on the floor and general messiness. This last time I reported this to the hostess shortly after arriving, and when I went back into the bathroom after our meal it looked the same. It starts to make me wonder about the upkeep of the rest of the restaurant.
Well, it was December 12... the height of holiday gatherings at lunch time. I requested a quiet table for a business lunch and was seated next to a table of 12+ people celebrating the season. It was really crowded so couldn't change table locations. We should have moved the bar. Crazy loud and could hardly hear each other.
They have a large parking lot, but finding an open spot was challenging. A neighborhood restaurant probably gets mostly single occupant cars arriving. It made me wish for valet parking as an option around this time of the year.
The server was great. The food was okay. I ordered one of their specials, roasted salmon. Really boring with hardly any seasoning. My bad choice as I was thinking of their great grilled salmon during the summer. Roasted was meh. Brussels sprouts on the side - which is a big yuck for me. Menu said I'd get asparagus. On business lunch, it's embarrassing to shove half your plate of food to the side.
My guest ordered the chicken club and seemed to really enjoy.
Met an old friend for dinner while in the Seattle area where he lives. Picked Scott's out of the OpenTable list as the location was convenient for all parties. Our server was a hoot and that made the visit tolerable. The food itself was nothing special. Entrees chosen were the Scott's house burger, fish tacos and the specialty meat loaf. The first two were simply OK. Expected better based on the reviews I read. The meat loaf was very dry--yet swimming in a grayish sauce. More problems--my friend couldn't get a second round of the beer he wanted, because they had run out; and the dessert my wife wanted was also not available, though our cheerful and intrepid server got the kitchen to whip up something that was supposed to be similar. But it wasn't, really. Can't recommend this place.
We were a table of 4 (one was a 2 year old) and it took almost 2 hours for our dinner. We waited almost 15 mins to have our order taken, the waiter came back only once, I didn’t get a water refill, our dessert (the tiny sundaes) took almost 25 mins to get and the prime rib couldn’t even be cut with a steak knife-it was so tough! I’ve been to Scott’s many times and this was the worst experience I’ve had there
We made reservations for Thanksgiving at Scott’s . We were excited because we have enjoying Scott’s for many years. Unfortunately, the Thanksgiving meal was far from our normal experience. The white meat turkey was good, the dark meat was hard to identify where or what it came from, the stuffing tasted similar to Stove-top-stuffing, and the potatoes were average. Finally, the gravy was nearly nonexistent, we had to order extra because we couldn’t tell if it was present. Given the relatively small portions, lack of seconds and the average quality food it is hard to justify the $32 a plate. We will not be back next year. On the positive side, Service was good and quick. We wish the experience had been otherwise. Finally, in most Thanksgiving meals in local restaurants the meal offers seconds or more, but that was not the case at Scott’s. We rarely provide reviews when a restaurant didn’t do well, because everyone has bad days, but for Thanksgiving we had higher expectations. This was not the good value that we have come to expect from Scott’s.
I have gone to Scott's for years with friends. It is consistently top drawer for food, service, and ambience. It is a wonderful place to go for Thanksgiving offering a traditional turkey dinner and a great selection of other meals as well. Scott's offers a positive experience in every way every time.
