Scottish Arms
The product driven menu changes seasonally focusing on the purity and quality of local ingredients and sustainable farming wherever possible which gives us the ability to create many styles of rustic European cuisine.
Our hearts will always be in Scotland so we will have our famous Scotch Eggs, Haddock n' Chips and Bangers, to name a few, all year round.
Our wine list was carefully crafted focusing on Old World Vintages, over 100 single malts, award winning cocktails and plenty of excellent local and European pints.
Proud to support Hinkebein Hills Farm. Farrar Out Farms. Jones Heritage and Greg Pusczek to name a few.
And, don't miss Sunday Brunch with our famous Bloody Mary Bar, Endless Mimosas, Fresh Squeezed OJ.

The food was fantastic! Drinks were well made and service was perfect. Thank you!
Had a great server and a great meal. Love the vibe here.
Fish was delicious!!
Our server, Daniel, was personable and attentive without being overly pushy, and made suggestions to us as to what we may like and pairing our food with drinks and made the dining experience very enjoyable. Presentation of the meal was perfect as was the quality of the food.
Food was great, prices were right and the service was fantastic. Came for Valentine’s Day. It was my first time. The only thing i would complain about is there was no Bloody Mary var due to covid but that was not specified on the website or open table. I would have not booked this if i would’ve known. ButI would still come back.
It was good. Will go back sometime.
It was a lovely experience at Scottish Arms. I had the vegetable quiche. Good food and atmosphere, so I plan to be back.
Wonderful service, and our server provided thoughtful recommendations. Would like to see a more varied beer list. Those in our party loved the pork tenderloin, lamb, and the fish. My pasta Bolognese (“Great Grandma’s”) was too spicy. Not accustomed to a Bolognese leaving the back of my throat on fire! Overall, we enjoyed our experience but I would order something other than the pasta.
My mother and I went for dinner tonight (1/16) and it was amazing! She had the French Onion Soup and Gyro, I had the Scotch Poached Egg and Lamb Shank! It was delicious! Would recommend!
Always great food and great service. Nothing beats their Shepperd's Pie on a cold evening.
Looking for a good Sunday brunch, we made reservations at Scottish Arms. Wow! Everything was delicious. The Butty sandwich, the Bubble and Squeak...YUM! Unfortunately, they were out of the pork steak. Most go back, SOON.
The food at the Scottish Arms is simply outstanding. The Shepard’s pie is the ultimate comfort food. Loved the duck confit flatbread! And of course, they have an excellent bar selection. This is one that we just keep coming back to because they never disappoint.
The place is the best!
You took a reservation for Sunday brunch- unfortunately, THE RESTAURANT WAS CLOSED! It would have been nice if you had a clue about such minor details.
To be fair, I should have been more familiar with the health department’s rules for re-opening.
The Scottish Arms is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in St. Louis. From the friendly, knowledgeable staff, to the delicious food, and the phenomenal whisk(e)y selection, it is a must-visit!
Genuine Shepherds pie, not the American version, totally pukka bangers and mash, top notch lamb pasties and excellent service. Do yourself a favor and eat here.
Everything was amazing! One little thing- the church pew booth seat hurt my butt! Next time we will ask to sit in a regular chair.
Will definitely go back for the brunch again! Our server was excellent and the hostess was so warm and friendly- kudos to them!
Wonderful as always! Hands down the best restaurant in St. louis! Food is excellent, drinks are perfection, ambiance is casual but special. The service is top notch. We've had several servers and they are always excellent. Frank, the Scotch Sommolier is excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable, and so fun to talk to. I can't say enough good things!
We had a terrific dinner during the holidays !! Winter cocktails, beautiful decor and great food! The sommelier suggested wonderful liquor for us to try! 10/10
First time since March, and enjoyed it as much as ever. Ate reasonably lightly since it was late--shared the appetizer platter and the beet salad plus pints of beer, of course. Lots of other stuff on the menu to tempt us, including several specials but . . . .
Good food and service. Nice ambiance with the feel of a Scottish pub.
We had a great date night. Awesome, friendly bartender/waitress. Got a couple of appetizers while trying a few scotches, will definitely go back!
Great food and service. It was really empty which was sad to see. But scotch eggs and lamb just really fantastic.
Home fries were excellent, but my Seamus Mcbenedict was cold upon delivery — which is not great for a hollandaise sauce. My boyfriend’s biscuits abd gravy were also room temperature.
Great food and service as always! Brought a group of 7 for lunch and not only was service timely and thoughtful but the food was outstanding.
I think back on this meal with such joy, days later. Our server was attentive, knowledgable and enthusiastic but not intrusive. The wine we shared was incredible, and the curry mussels app was likely the best mussels I've ever had. We sopped up every drop of broth with crusty toasts. Our salmon special really was special! It was the perfect portion size, cooked and presented beautifully. This restaurant puts out a perfect product in a charming, comfortable and unpretentious way - a memorable meal in a city full of great options. We'll be back!
The food was good as always and our server was a peach! Very accommodating and attentive.
The fish and chips were amazing. The waitstaff were attentive and skillful. Will definitely return.
Excellent meal and service was personable and great.
Food tasted very good, but the Lamb Porterhouse was way overpriced for the very tiny amount of meat on the plate.
I cannot say enough, we had reservations for about 30 and over 40 showed. It was a great brunch event and we will be back. Thank you!!
Very good traditional Scottish food food well done. My son had the Hangover Platter that showed a nice collection of traditional dishes. We enjoyed the endless Mimosas and the knowledge our server brought to our table. The $5 per person coffee press was a bit much but all the food was well presented and tasted great. Go and enjoy.
Delicious food, I love the decor and ambiance. Perfect little place for brunch or date night!
We had dined there last Fall twice, both times excellent. This time they must have had a different chef as the Shepards Pie & the Lock a Leki were mediocre. However the Bruscheta was superb. And waitress recommendation for non alcoholic beer was great.
Outstanding!!! Delicious food, great service. Love to visit again.
We Have been to Scottish arms many times in the past. This time they had all of the scotch selections that I ordered for my flight. I noticed that the Scotch menu you had been narrowed down some which I think is good, I have been disappointed in the past picking selections that were described as “sorry we are out of that one” better to have a little bit less Variety but good availability! We had a beer salad which was out of this world, And the star of our meal. I had the duck breast on tree while my wife had The Lanb Porter house which was excellent as well. My wife had an apple tart for dessert, while I had a lovely chocolate berry chocolate mousse parfait, which was lovely. Only reason we did not give five stars for service, our server had picked up our forks with our salads, and dropped our entrées without having replaced them, and it was at least five minutes in our food was already cooling by the time we found someone to get us another one. She had a big table and was otherwise great, just a solitary glitch!
Our waitress helped my husband choose a scotch that was best for him, and our food was amazing!
Been a few years since visiting and we regret not returning sooner! Great food and service, even better than we remembered. Food is very rich, but absolutely delicious. Gnocchi limoncello appetizer was amazing. Halibut special was good and the chicken pot pie (don’t remember exact name) was phenomenal
An amazing pub, well worth the trip. Lovely staff and amazing food combine with the ambiance to make me feel like I am coming home each time I visit.
Nice selection of wines by the glass. The lamb shank was perhaps the best I've ever had. Once again, excellent fare at a very reasonable price . Also, as usual, the service was courteous , efficient and casual.
