Located in the heart of St Louis' Central West End, The Scottish Arms is a rustic traditional Victorian style pub and a comfortable setting for lunch, dinner and late night entertainment.

The product driven menu changes seasonally focusing on the purity and quality of local ingredients and sustainable farming wherever possible which gives us the ability to create many styles of rustic European cuisine.

Our hearts will always be in Scotland so we will have our famous Scotch Eggs, Haddock n' Chips and Bangers, to name a few, all year round.

Our wine list was carefully crafted focusing on Old World Vintages, over 100 single malts, award winning cocktails and plenty of excellent local and European pints.

Proud to support Hinkebein Hills Farm. Farrar Out Farms. Jones Heritage and Greg Pusczek to name a few.

And, don't miss Sunday Brunch with our famous Bloody Mary Bar, Endless Mimosas, Fresh Squeezed OJ.

Always a wonderful dining experience. This was a business dinner with several diners new to this restaurant. They all had a fantastic time and unexpectedly enjoyed this new cuisine. Great place for people who don't yet know they love this food!

Friday night is date night for my husband and I. We try to avoid noisy environments which seem to be popping up all over St. Louis! The Scottish Arms, in an old building on Sarah, just off Forest Park Pkwy., has a lively bar scene, kept at bay by nice thick walls! We ordered a shepherds pie with ground lamb (it gets four stars) and bangers and mash that was good, but a little too spicy. It must be heaven for whiskey drinkers with dozens to choose from, but we stuck to a nice Irish red ale and Citrapolis on tap. It was an ideal dinner for a cold blustery night

We have dined at Scottish Arms at least 10 times demonstrating how much we like it. The food, drinks and ambiance combine to make this restaurant a wonderful experience.

Fish breading was a little soggy on bottom, chips were good as was tartar. Omelet was tasty although there was very little egg. Scotch egg was outstanding. Disappointed that couldn’t order Haggis at 1:00 Sunday brunch time.

From the pastie to Seamus Macbenedict to fish and chips all food was tasty and well prepared! Loved the French press and the Bloody Mary bar!!

For a cuisine that is typically underrated, this was a fabulous delight. The ambiance is reminiscent of a Scottish lodge and was lively without being overwhelming. The whiskey options were fantastic and the server very knowledgeable. We sampled a large variety of the creative and delicious foods and found them to be both tasty and creative. Take a break from Mexican and Chinese and try a new cultural experience at the Scottish Arms!

I was quite disappointed with the scotch availability. Please update your scotch menu for goodness sakes. It’s a core part of your business. The scotch menus were both dirty and outdated. Several in my party had to order several scotches before there was one you had that was listed on your menu. Previous visits were enjoyable. Not so much this time.

The whiskey selection was overwhelming, and our server was very knowledgeable. I picked an Ardbeg Uibeagail from the Islay to begin with and ended with an Arran Malt Sauternes Cask Finish. Loved both.

The ambiance is perfect for a Celtic pub and brunch is a good no-froo froo mix of Scottish and standard American fare, so no one feels left out. Get there early though, it gets noisy when it’s crowded. Which is fine for raucous Saturday nights but not so much for brunch.

My partner and I have gone to the Scottish Arms for an anniversary brunch each year for four years, and we will continue to do so. ❤️ We love the service, the ambience and especially the food. The Bloody Mary bar is also a big hit. Please support this fantastic local gem!

Lovely warm pub, with very good restaurant attached. Their food is interesting, and they have a good selection of beers and wine. But their stand out is their excellent range whiskey. On the pricey side, I suppose, but a brilliant range and knowledgeable bar staff who seem to have the right suggestion for any palate. Highly recommended.

Meh. The food was only upstaged by the food, which also sucked. I won't hurry back! I'd heard a lot of good things, but brunch didn't come through as memorable.

My fried fish was greasy, instead of having a light, crispy coating. Peas were tasty. Fries were fine. I'll try something different next time. Seating 5 people at a table meant for 4 was a little cramped. Love the ambiance of this building.

Went for brunch because it was such a lovely day and wanted to sit on patio. Patio was closed. Food was ok, but nothing outstanding. Really, I would call it a over-priced Denny's in a historic location. Will not be coming back.

We go to Scottish Arms a lot, and I ALWAYS love the drinks and typically love the food but the last 2 times I've eaten there it seems like the quality of the food has gone down. I got the limoncello gnocchi and the brussel sprouts weren't even cooked - just hot hard painful to chew sprouts. This last time, I got the fish and chips - typically always great - and the batter wasn't even seasoned so it tasted like nothing but grease...we also had quite a few plates left on the table that no one ever cleared. On a super busy night I get it, but it was pretty dead. We were 1 of 5 tables in the main dining room. Might skip the food next time and just enjoy the bar on my next visit.

We were celebrating Valentine's Day. We were seated promptly. I was a little disappointed that I had to ask for a Scotch menu and then had several trips back and forth from our server to then tell me that they were out of 2/3 of my original selections for my Scotch flight, a favorite reason to come to the Arms. Then my server didn't know to serve the whisky with a small container of water to gently open the whisky. They had a 4 course Prix fixe menu which we took advantage of and found out it was all full portions which ended up being a LOT of food. Standouts were beet and goat cheese salad, a harvest salad was also delicious. A fois gras course was perfectly done on toast w an apple compote. A cauliflower prep had good flavor but was cold on arrival. Prime Rib was flavorful but overdone for our taste. We weren't offered a choice of temperature when we ordered and so assumed it would be medium rare and it was closer to medium well. A Yorkshire pudding side was made w butter rather than pan juices/fat and was fairly flavorless. Desserts were both excellent, chocolate lava cake and blackberry pie w an interesting ice cream. Overall a nice evening, with a few minor disappointing things. My Scotch flight chief among them as it's reasonable to expect a bar specializing in the water of life to have better availability of its Scotch menu. The overdone prime rib also was not up to usual quality standards we remember from past meals at Scottish Arms. Nothing that will keep us from coming back, just hope things aren't slipping.

We were in town visiting relatives. The restaurant was close and the menu looked very interesting. Upon arrival we were seated right away and service started off really great, but as the night got busier it was harder to get our server's attention. Lots of great small plates, so we got several so that we can try lots of the different Scottish foods. Great beer and whiskey selections. The bar appeared to be very lively but the tables are in another room which helped with the noise level. Seating appeared to be limited so a reservation is probably a must. We would certainly go back.

Had a friend in from Berlin. Food and service excellent. Unfortunately, we were positioned near the elevated area by the window. When I stood to leave, my chair tipped over the elevated area and I went with it. Fortunately, I was just bruised. On the way out I asked one of the staff if that has happened before and the response was, "All the time?" Huh? Maybe move the table away from the "stage". I'm not big and didn't require much room to get out-still I fell because we were so close to that spot.

I'm a recent transplant to STL and it was a distinct pleasure to discover The Scottish Arms. I've had dinner there several times and it is always outstanding, this was my first brunch experience and all I can say is that I highly recommend it. Excellent quality food, wonderful coffee, friendly and knowledgeable staff and a diverse menu. I left full and very happy. Will definitely be back for another date with my wife!

Scottish Arms has always been the place for us to go for a casual, seasonal and special occasion; but, on the recent one of those special occasions, the service was not what we expected to receive. Drink orders were not delivered as ordered and the meals were late in delivery. The meals were great but not an overall good experience. For the meal quality, we will try again but for the price would expect much better service in the future.
