There are no contenders for well-prepared and well-styled Northern Italian food in Easton. Scossa has consistently delivered fine Italian cuisine in Talbot County for years.
First class restaurant with excellent food. We enjoyed every part of the meal. Sat outside on a beautiful night. Restaurant sits on the mai street of Easton but traffic, except for the Harleys (I own one) was unnoticeable. Took my Dad for his Birthday and he was very happy! Expect about $40-55/person with drinks apps and dinner.
A favorite in Easton MD, a humorous waiter but very attentive and wonderful veal dishes, a good wine list but quiet place with nice music. Have been a few times and will continue going and I noticed and recognized the staff who has been loyal and there for some time. You will like this place!
This was our 55th anniversary. The dinner and service were outstanding. We were able to eat outside and really enjoyed our table. We would recommend this restaurant without any hesitation. We even got a complimentary dessert for our anniversary.
Scossa is consistently excellent. On this occasion it exceeded our very high expectations. Food and service (Richard) were outstanding.
Extremely overpriced for what you get. Atmosphere is lovely, but food quality and portion sizes do not justify the outsized bill. But it's the only game in town (Easton) for upscale Italian, so either we'll grin and bear it, or we'll drive to St Michaels next time.
Across was a first time experience for myself and my daughter for Mother's Day. I live near Ocean City, M.D. And she lived in Bowie, M.D. So it was about halfway for us both. The ambiance was classy yet casual, good was excellent, service very good. I loved the coffee. We would definitely meet there again.
Great service. Great food. Some of the best scallops ever! Hubbie has sweet breads every time because they are the best
Very enjoyable meal and atmosphere. I liked that even on a busy Saturday night it was quiet enough to have a conversation. Everyone enjoyed their meals!
We chose Scossa mainly because we were scheduled to be in Easton around lunch time and, after a quick search, decided on Scossa because the food reviews were generally favorable.
Not sure whether we had the B team in the kitchen but my food had an abundance of salt - exceedingly so - especially the Bolognese sauce. The pasta was fine but not exceptional. My overall impression of the food was "nothing special" which came as a surprise especially in view of the general favorable comments about the quality of the food.
Great service from Richard; very good food; overall very pleasant experience.
We went to Scossa for my husband's birthday -- not the first time. He had the lobster risotto. It was wonderful. I had the spinach and ricotta ravioli which was divinely delicate. And the chocolate dessert was fabulous. Our waitress made sure everything was perfect. She was a delight. We come to Scossa every year when we pick up our boat in Trappe or Oxford.
We live nearby and have been to Scossa a number of times with favorable impressions overall. Out most recent visit was very disappointing. It appears that the tables have been rearranged in order to squeeze more tables into the available interior space. As a result there was little room for the wait staff to pass between us and the adjoining tables. It was unusually noisy as a result, and it was difficult to communicate to my dinner partner.
The beef carpaccio was very grisly and difficult to eat.
Fortunately, we had a very good waiter.
We will not be returning any time soon.
Good location for dinner before show at theatre
Scossa is simply wonderful. The food is delicious, and the service is just as good. We had the Rigatoni Carbonara and the Bolognese with Meatballs. Both dishes were excellent. We had not been back to Easton in ten years, and we were so happy that this restaurant was still there! Thank you for a wonderful evening!!
We had a fabulous meal before heading to a show at the Avalon that evening. Everything we ordered was very fresh and appetizing. The service was superb and everyone was very knowledgeable. We will definitely be back to dine soon.
A friend treated us to dinner at Scossa for our 36th Wedding Anniversary because it is our favorite place for a reliably wonderful meal. This was no exception. The food, service, ambiance and wine list are all top-notch. All-in-all, a great evening!
We were celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary. They brought out a dessert in the house with two candles. Very thoughtful.
Superb food and service. We will be back! Such an enjoyable way to spend an evening.
Scossa never disappoints and the service is impeccable
A diverse Italian menu that will please traditionalist, and surprise foodies with creative dishes rarely seen on the Eastern Shore. Where else can you find sweetbreads (my choice for the night)? They were delicious and served with a very creamy and cheesy risotto.
My dining companions each had different dishes; curried shrimp with rice pilaf; sauteed salmon with radicchio; and the fish of the day, Sword Fish prepared in a lemon and caper sauce. All were quite pleased and said their meals were cooked perfectly. I also had a cup of the soup of the day, a pureed sweet pea and potato bisque that was wonderful - and something I'm going to try hard to duplicate at home!
Only had glasses of house wines, so I really can't comment too much on the selection, but it seemed extensive.
Service was professional yet friendly.
Prices were maybe a little less than you would expect at a restaurant of this caliber. Dinner for four, with apps and five glasses of wine was just under $200.00
As usual, as always, we had a wonderful meal at Scossa's. We have eaten there about once a month for several years, and we have never had bad or disappointing food. The servers and the chef are obliging, and the food is exceptional. While it is not-inexpensive, it is not expensive for the area and for the delicious food and wonderful service.
Perfect. Always. Try the octopus carpaccio, the eggplant parm (I HATE eggplant but this is something special) or the risotto. So. Good. Oh...get a drink first at the loveliest bar in the area. Buck is the best bartender in town...so what could go wrong? Enjoy!
For some reason the table service was in a neglect mode towards the end.
Great food as always. Chef is very accommodating to menu modifications for allergy work-arounds. Terrific service.
Great Easter Brunch! Great service!
Bartender is outstanding. Buck is a treasure. Dinner was also terrific.
Always a wonderful experience..
The pasta was excellent.
Normally the food has always been good at Scossa. However, we ordered items off the restaurant week menu and unfortunately it just was not very good. But again, normally things are very good but we had not visited the restaurant in several months. It was a special occasion which is why we chose the restaurant. The service and staff were great as always.
We were a party of six, seated at a rectangular table. We think a round table is better for conversation.
The service was attentive and requests honored graciously and efficiently by server.
The menu is limited but enough choices for everyone. One guest said that the octopus appetizer was fair. One guest did not care for his veal entre. Another veal entre was delicious although not served hot enough. All agreed that the caesar salad was spectacular.
Scossa is a lovely restaurant, tasteful decor, and we all feel that we will return.
Food was great service great. We come periodically on our way through town and have not been disapppinted
I go to Scossa for almost every special occasion and I am NEVER disappointed. Always great food and fine service.
great restaurant! hard to find better food anywhere--as good as any NY restaurant.
Food is consistently good and the service is always beyond my expectations
I had been to Scossa before for lunch, and was pleased with the menu and service. Based on that we wanted to go back. As there were six in our group, we reserved well in advance. We got a call at noon the day of our dinner asking if we would like to take advantage of their new garden room - implying it was special. The room was like a cavernous empty banquet hall with nowhere near the ambiance of the main restaurant. There were five seated tables and some hightops in front of the bar - filled with a group obviously there for just the cocktails. The only plus side was that it was quieter than the main room. But I feel our service suffered with a waitress bouncing back and forth to her tables in the main room. Salads were mediocre, tasting and looking like bag lettuce and bottled dressing. Main courses were uninspired, having the consistency and taste of microwaved frozen food. Will not be back nor recommend it to others.
Always a great meal at Scossa. Consistently one of the best restaurants in Easton.
Very elegant, live flowers, lit lamp on table, gracefully dressed staff, interesting menu, delicious food. Can't ask for more!
The quality of the food is just okay, no “wows” found here and because of that the food is overpriced. Shame because the restaruant is very attractive and the service is very good, the kitchen, the most important part, lacks the skills to make this a great restaruant.
