Scossa Ratings and Reviews
We sat at the bench table for four. Very close to other tables. No privacy. Dinner came two minutes after we got our wine! Menu good be more interesting. The pasta was good but we think salads should be included with entrees. Piano music would add to ambiance.
Scossa outdid themselves on Saturday night. Risotto with lobster was creamy and delicious with a nice spicy bite. My husband's rigatoni was outstanding. And my dad's salmon was perfectly cooked. The Tormaresca chardonnay was delightful. And, as usual, we had blackberry gelato and the lemon sorbet (cleverly served in a frozen half lemon) for dessert, along with double espressos. Altogether, a superlative meal, with top-notch service throughout. (Richard is our favorite waiter and always entertaining!)
Easton seems to be blessed with a number of very good restaurants in its downtown area. Scossas has a very pleasant atmosphere with both booths and table and patio seating in season. Traditional Italian menu, and excellently prepared, but expect to pay accordingly.
The quiet, elegant atmosphere is noteworthy, as is the cuisine. We asked for Richard, our favorite waiter, who once again did not disappoint us. He was extremely courteous and attentive. When the young child of our guest began to fall asleep at the table, Richard found a vacant nearby booth and tucked her in with a table cloth! Another friend commented, "Now I understand why this restaurant tops your list!" We look forward to returning again.
The various dishes (table of 6; soups and main courses) were carefully prepared and delicious (except for one dish which was found to be too bland); lower marks for service, as Scossas was short staffed (servers and the kitchen) . Ambiente nice, but cold wind blasts whenever the restaurant door opened (need inside shield).
atmostphere, service, food are excellent. seafood special of the day (scallops and rockfish) delicious. lamb special with risotta also very good. lamb not as tender as i would have preferred. waitress was busy but still very attentive and charming. would definitely dine there again.
Nice outdoor dining and good inside decor. The service was passable but there were multiple people involved in serving us and it felt a bit rushed/impersonal, though everything was served in a timely and efficient way. The lobster ravioli was a somewhat small portion without much evidence of lobster. The risotto was a bit soupier than preferred by the shrimp were delicious. Nothing terrible, just not sufficient to make me recommend that people go out of their way to go there. The pasta/risotto entrees do not come with any vegetables.
Headed to Easton for an event at the Avalon Theatre and decided to go to Scossa prior for a nice dinner. Outdoor Seating and service was nothing short of exceptional. Appetizers were great but entrees were just above average. Overall still one of the best in the area and will be returning
Have been here before and was on an overnight shopping and sightseeing trip with two friends and thought they would like Scosso. I especially like their risotto dishes. That night each had something added that just didn't appeal to two of us, so they custom made it with whatever we wanted. It was excellent and we ate every bit. Had the coconut gelato myself and another had the tiramisu for dessert, very good. My other friend had the carb cake and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were not rushed at all and it was the perfect ending to a wonderful day in St. Michaels and Easton. Will definitely be back.
Food was excellent, server (Richard) outstanding, response to request when making Open Table reservation also exceptionally good. Each dish we had was both distinctive and impeccably done. A special dietary request was responded to without hesitation. The chef is unusual in making slight menu modifications with high effectiveness , as well as promptness. This is, far and away, the best restaurant in and around Easton, Maryland.
Excellent Experiance. THe food, service and ambiance were top notch. I would recommend to anyone who wants creative cuisine at a very good price. Richard, our waiter, was very attentive and professional. Wonderful Italian food. I would especially recommend the sweetbreads as well as th pastas and the Eggplant Parm.
We selected this restaurant from the reviews on the internet. Excellent choice!!! Outstanding italian food with superb service. We were a party of 5 and everyone loved the food. The waiter was one of the best we have ever had in our life. We travelled for a wedding from very far away and were staying at a nearby hotel. If we could give this place 6 stars we would.
First time at this restaurant. We enjoyed sitting outside. The only negative to that was 3-4 boys on their bicycles/skateboards going back and forth repeatedly on the sidewalk for a while. My husband and I agreed that the food was good, but not remarkable (shrimp squash risotto/ravioli special. Three shrimp on risotto for $19. The service was good, but attentive enough that we felt somewhat rushed through dinner. The restaurant was not busy and we would have preferred to sit and relax, take time over our drinks and dinners. May or may not return.
