Very elegant, live flowers, lit lamp on table, gracefully dressed staff, interesting menu, delicious food. Can't ask for more!
The quality of the food is just okay, no “wows” found here and because of that the food is overpriced. Shame because the restaruant is very attractive and the service is very good, the kitchen, the most important part, lacks the skills to make this a great restaruant.
Our little server was excellent!!! The food was good and the booth was perfect to catchup with our friends out of town. Would recommend s this was one of the restaurants that allowed privacy and comfort.
Excellent and innovative take on many Italian dishes. Truly upscale quality and a great wine, cordial and after dinner drink list. I had the sweetbreads which were fantastic; my wife the eggplant parm which was no typical take on the country style dish one usually finds. These were done almost as small terrine style rounds accompanied by gnocchi that melted in your mouth with what tasted like a beautiful ricotta finish. Scallop and appetizer also hit the mark but the pear gorgonzola salad was a bit bland and could certainly have used more pear and a bit more vinegar or a balsamic. Noise from the adjoining bar was a bit obtrusive but not horrible and certainly won't ruin your evening. All in all a great meal and where else outside of DC does one find sweetbreads. I'm coming back for the osso buco next time it's on the menu.
Chose the restaurant for my adult daughters birthday. The food was wonderful and our server Sara was great. We will be back again soon
Superb service and exceptional food and dining experience
We had dinner for a special occasion. The food was excellent, as was the service.
Our daughter has a summer place in Cambridge, when we visit from South Jersey, my favorite restaurant of all is Scossa. I LOVE everything about it. April was our server and she was outstanding. It is always a perfect evening.
Food was good as usual, service not quite as it had been last visit and restaurant was not that crowded. Still enjoyed the lunch.
A lovely restaurant, with an inviting bar and nice dining room. Refined, without being stuffy. Good cocktails and interesting wines by the glass. Fresh ingredients in nice presentations, especially in first courses. A little more nuance/subtlety in flavors would make this a very nice restaurant. We will go back, especially to sit at the bar and eat.
Always an excellent meal and atmosphere for dining out.
This was an ideal place to spend Saturday evening with good friends. The food was very good, the service was excellent, the wine was just right, and the ambience added to the very nice evening out.
They are very accommodating for special requests. Most servers are very friendly. Better to go on a weeknight. Quieter
My girlfriend and I dined here for our anniversary. The food and drink were spectacular. We both can't wait to go back in the summer to take advantage of the outdoor dining area.
We enjoyed a terrific meal at Scossa for dinner. We received a warm welcome and started off the evening with a very well crafted cocktail at the bar. It was a full house yet we were able to maintain an easy to hear conversation. The veal chop was superb and the service was professional. Would highly recommend the restaurant to all. Cheers, M
Excellent in every way! The table was in a quiet corner and the waiter was fantastic. Cannot wait to return.
Always a great experience. Owners are very active and really care. Our family loves to go to Scossa’s every chance we get.
We went to Scossa's for Christmas Eve dinner. We had a reservation for the dining room but went to the bar to get a drink while waiting for our table. We liked the table we were sitting at in the bar area and ended up having dinner there. The hostess was very accommodating. The service was great and the food was great. It was a very pleasant dining experience.
Always a winner. Was here Christmas Eve with my husband, sister and 90 year old mother. We all enjoyed the food, the ambience and the service. It was a festive way to kick off our family holiday. We requested Richard as our server and as busy as the restaurant was, Richard was attentive, cheerful and as always perfectly matched by-the-glass wine selections to our entrees. Mom and sister had roast chicken, husband had Rockfish and I had pasta.
Scossa is great for any occasion (a little on the expensive side) and is definitely our go-to special occasion place.
It was a rather frosty night and we were looking forward to some delicious food and ambiance - we weren’t disappointed! We both started our meal with soup due to the cold evening. My husbands minestrone was good but not very authentic but my fish soup with saffron was outstanding. The flavor of the stock was perfect and the pieces of solid fish and perhaps fennel were just delicious. My husband had the salmon and it was carefully cooked and had an excellent seasoning. I chose calves liver and have seldom enjoyed an entree as much as this plate of tender tastiness. Thank you Scossa. A most enjoyable meal.
Consistently excellent, with very professional service.
Our first time but certainly not our last at Scossa. We are visitors to the area but certainly understand why the locals recommended this restaurant. Great variety of choices and we were not disappointed.
We sat at the bench table for four. Very close to other tables. No privacy. Dinner came two minutes after we got our wine! Menu good be more interesting. The pasta was good but we think salads should be included with entrees. Piano music would add to ambiance.
Classic Italian cuisine with local ingredients. Quite, cosy and soothing decor. Always reliable.
Ask for Richard.
Always an outstanding meal and experience. One of our favorite restaurants!
Scossa outdid themselves on Saturday night. Risotto with lobster was creamy and delicious with a nice spicy bite. My husband's rigatoni was outstanding. And my dad's salmon was perfectly cooked. The Tormaresca chardonnay was delightful. And, as usual, we had blackberry gelato and the lemon sorbet (cleverly served in a frozen half lemon) for dessert, along with double espressos. Altogether, a superlative meal, with top-notch service throughout. (Richard is our favorite waiter and always entertaining!)
It’s a shame I have eaten several times at the restaurant and it has a nice ambiance but the service is very poor—very rushed, plates thrown on to the table and a serious lack of politeness. The food lacks imagination and has often been disappointing.
Easton seems to be blessed with a number of very good restaurants in its downtown area. Scossas has a very pleasant atmosphere with both booths and table and patio seating in season. Traditional Italian menu, and excellently prepared, but expect to pay accordingly.
The overall experience was excellent. Food was beautifully presented and delicious.
Excellent food, great service, and a cool ambiance make this a very charming restaurant. It’s worth a trip to Easton to try this restaurant.
