The Prix Fixe Menu $40 listed online, we were told by our waiter only at lunch, though it is listed on the website dinner menu.
I posted on Open Table a request for a certain table. No mention of it when we checked. They could have said that it was previously reserved.
Otherwise dinner was fine. The avocado endive salad was delicious. We ordered the liver which was tasty, but a little over cooked. This was after we broached the cooking temp subject with our waiter.
We generally like Scossa, we are locals, just a few glitches this time.
Our waitress Sara was fabulous. She was attentive and personable. The food was delicious.
New Year, new flavors. The octopus carpaccio with salmon tartare was outstanding as was the veal and mushroom ragu. Cannot wait to return, special occasion not required.
We loved this restaurant. From the service, to the cocktails, to the food. We will be back. All was fantastic. We started with the cheese plate, Caesar salad and the spinach and pear salad. All were wonderful. We then had salmon, veal, risotto (lobster and duck ones) and lobster with whole wheat pasta. All were delicious and everyone was satisfied. For dessert we had tiramisu, peach sorbet and apple strudel. Awesome.
Excellent in all aspects.
The wait staff treated us very well and we felt welcomed. My husband and I are in our 20's and often the youngest couple at fancy restaurants. We are often get judged by the staff. Our waiter was great and made us feel welcome and as if we belonged.
Cozy atmosphere and delicious food. Cannot go wrong here!
Great food; fantastic service.
Hostess was amazing and food always consistently good
This is our favorite Italian restaurant. Way nwt than any restaurant in Little Italy. The food, service, and ambiance is amazing! The lobster risotto is the best!
Scossa was an excellent restaurant for our group of 6! Three generations age 20, 50 and 80, some meat eaters, some not — we all were pleased with our meal choices. The timing of the service was perfect - no long waits, but also no feeling of being rushed. We stayed for dessert and coffee (unusual for us), and again, all dessert choices were excellent. We would definitely return in the future.
Delicious food, great bartenders, all of the staff are wonderful.
Scossa is the best in town. Staff is trained, service is perfect and the food is superb. We love Scossa and recommend it highly.
Always terrific...great food—good service...always reliable...lucky we have this restaurant in Easton.
Great food and service. A very nice restaurant with wonderful ambiance.
We enjoyed our meal here very much. Three of us ordered pasta dishes and the 4th ordered a fish dish.
All were delicious. Wine is reasonably priced. Nice cocktails too although we skipped those this time. Excellent service. We often see the same staff people -- I think low staff turnover is one of the reasons the service is so good. Its a very pretty place -- nice for a relaxing meal.
Always our go to place when in Easton. Beautiful setting, wonderful food and great service (thank you, April).
The service at Scossa is always wonderful, and last night's duck with saffron risotto was outstanding. I also love the Block Nine pinot noir. Another memorable family dinner!
We had dinner at Scossa before a show at the Avalon. Excellent service, food and ambiance. Definitely recommend.
great service, atmosphere, and food. lived it. Will absolutely return
We've been here twice before and have had great experiences, so we were looking forward to a nice lunch. The food was excellent as usual but the service was among the worst we've ever had anywhere. It was like the waiter was intentionally snubbing us. Once he took our order he never stopped by the table again except to pick up the check (which someone else delivered). He was extremely talkative to table next to us (maybe he knew them ?) but ignored many other tables. What made it really strange is that our table was near the wait station so he had to repeatedly walk right by us. It was like he was purposely trying to avoid eye contact with us. I suspect he was just a bad waiter so we're inclined to try them again but it will be awhile. There are a lot of other excellent options in the Easton/St. Michaels/Cambridge area.
Our anniversary lunch. Excellent food and service. We liked having half-orders as an option.
Great meal and a great atmosphere. We just moved to Easton and we will definitely be back.
Food was excellent and service was top notch. Was very sorry to hear about long-time server Richard’s recent passing. He was such a wonderful person.
We dine at Scossa every month or two, and it is always outstanding. Best food and service in Easton.
We enjoyed our dinner very much. However, my request for a certain table was not honored. Disappointing, since we were bringing friends who hadn’t dined there.
Went to Scossa to celebrate our anniversary on the Saturday night of Waterfowl Festival. Despite the crush of people there during the day and evening, dinner was memorable, service was warm, friendly and helpful. We simply cannot wait to return, albeit on a quieter night!
A very busy weekend in our town. Every restaurant was packed. Scossa did not disappoint. Great food and wonderful staff. Always on my short list of recommendations to visitors.
The food here is amazing, especially the seafood dishes. They do a wonderful homemade pasta with lobster and fresh tomatoes
We always come and always bring our house guests and are never disappointed.
Scossa was a great find in small town Easton. The food was delicious and the ambiance was very friendly and warm. I talked to several shop owners around town who all raved about Scossa, saying it was one of the best meals around. They weren’t wrong!
The eggplant parmesan and ravioli with spinach and sage butter were delightful. I’d highly recommend Scossa to anyone visiting the area. Make a reservation!
One of our favorite restaurants in the Easton area. Friendly staff; polite and professional. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. Comfortable seating and very nice ambiance. Have dined here on numerous occasions and always look forward to returning. Our meals have always been prepared to our liking. Would highly recommend this establishment if you are new to the Downtown Easton area. You won't regret the choice.
Have eaten here several times, always enjoyable and food tasty! Good for lunch, celebrations, etc.
Scallops and mushroom appetizer was excellent; Caesar Salad was perfect with white anchovies and just the right amount of dressing; each of our pasta entrees were perfect. Will definitely go back again when in the area.
All wonderful. Service, food, ambiance, choices, all pretty damn nice!
The service was amazing and the ambiance was there but it was quite expensive for the small meal sizes. Your paying for the experience and it was quite nice, not too loud, but felt like we had to talk quietly. I will say that when I got a side of asparagus, it was barely any asparagus, cost extra, and just tasted like it was plainly cooked. I marked that I wouldn't recommend to a friend, but that is because all my friends are in school and we all don't have too much money to spend. However, for a very special occasion, it could be worth the splurge.
We were in town on family business, and it was my husband's birthday. We had been told by a local resident how wonderful it is, and now we understand why it's her favorite restaurant in Easton. We certainly agree. We split the calamari and loved the spicy sauce. My husband had a Caesar salad without the white anchovies. I got the beef short ribs with Parmesan risotto; this was a special and to die for. Loved our dining experience.
This restaurant fulfilled the three aspects I always look for---atmosphere, food, service. My compliments to the management/owners!
I’m a tough critic but hard to find any negatives and the packed dining room before 7pm is proof they do it right.
