We had a great dinner. Had not been here in a long time and it still is one of the best in Easton.
This restaurant is beautiful with great food. They have a great covered patio on the town street. It is a little expensive but definitely worth it for a date night or special occasion!
We had a lovely anniversary dinner at Scossa. The server was congenial and offered helpful guidance. She was attentive without being “too present”. The octopus appetizer was spectacular, as was the calamari. The eggplant Parmesan was outstanding. We decided to visit again during our short vacation! Scossa is a
MUST when in Easton. Bravissimo!
Second time dining here. Both times food and service excellent. Lovely ambiance. Chocolate torte worth the calories.
Wait staff was just wonderful. Pleasant, attentive and very knowledgeable. A real pleasure.
My husband and I were visiting from PA & chose this restaurant because I saw a saffron risotto w/chicken liver on the menu in the window the day before. Sadly, on the day we visited, that was not on the menu BUT recommended by our waiter, Richard, I had the most exquisite baby beef liver with onions!!! I guess he thought "well, here's someonewho likes liver." The tender liver was sliced into smallish strips & sautéed to perfection. Onions enhanced the dish but did not overwhelm it. Yes, you have to like liver, but I was in heaven. Simple steamed asparagus to accompany. I also had the cold pea soup appetizer - excellent (peas, potato celery - that's it!) The hubs was swooning over his sauteed scallops & mushrooms w/balsamic reduction. 4 large sweet scallops beautifully done. Dessert was peach sorbet served in a large frozen peach. Yes, we ate the peach too! Serving sizes were perfect. Dishes were simply prepared with minimal ingredients but, wow, it was great.
Our waiter Richard was delightful - ask to sit in his section. Tall handsome guy and he'll offer an opinion on a dish if you ask. He was great! After we finished the sorbet, he even sliced up my thawed peach so we could enjoy it. When we complimented the meal and thanked him for his suggestions, he deferred and said, "Well, it's the guy in the kitchen that makes it easy for me to make a recommendation ..."
The booths have high backs so you don't have to watch all the other diners. There were 2 groups of about 10 each seated near us so the noise level was a little higher that it probably would be, but it certainly did not bother us. We'll be back, I'm sure.
The food and service were excellent.
This is a favorite! Lovely dinner with friends and grandchildren. Wait staff was attentive and accommodating. Food was excellent.
Kind staff and amazing food ! Incredibly well run restaurant!
Always have liked Scossa, Chef has really stepped up his game with new menu items and excellent specials. Staff is knowledgeable and provide good service.
Excellent meal, as usual, and superb service...Scossa is reliably good...we have yet to be disappointed..just terrific.
This is not only a restaurant for special occasions but for a lunch with friends or a quick bite at the bar as well. I have been here about twenty times and never fails to deliver. Want something delectable, try the steak tartare either as an appetizer or main course. Super delicious. And the Caesar Salad with white anchovies is excellent. And our waiter who has been there since it opened is a gem.
Everything about Scossa is fantastic. The Italian menu covers the bases in its authentic options. I loved my salmon cooked to my liking with mediterranean toppings and a choice of side veggies. My husband’s risotto was excellent as was my son’s lasagnette. Wines by the glass were tasty, opting for a pinot grigio from Alto Adige. Service was easy-going but attentive from Richard. It was quiet on a weeknight and the atmosphere pleasing.
Waite was personable helpful and wffficient. Food was very good. My husband thinks these are the best sweet breads around.one of the best tiramisu I ever had. Always a great meal here
Excellent food, wine and attentive staff! We enjoyed our lunch and will return for dinner and lunch again...and again!
Food was really good. Wait staff was a lot of fun and very informative. Always a good experience.
Always a great place to enjoy great food & company. Never been disappointed.
Scossa is the best spot in Easton. Whether you want happy hour and appetizers or a wonderful full course meal you'll enjoy yourself. Staff is incredible and friendly. You can't go wrong.
Same menu for over five years. Please change it. Quality of food is very good. Service was spotty.
Lunch with my daughter on the Eastern Shore. Was lovely with one exception, the older male waiter. He was very rude. He explained the specials to the table to our right, and the table to our left, but not to us. While pouring us more water he greeted people on the street.
This restaurant can do much much better.
Lovely retirement celebration at Scossa's!!! Food, service and ambiance was excellent.
The food and service was, as we expected, excellent. However, the restaurant itself has a worn look. The booth in which we sat had a fabric back that was totally worn, something you wouldn't expect in a restaurant of this quality.
We stop at Scossa every couple of months when driving through Easton to visit family. We simply love it. The food is top-notch, service is outstanding, and we love being able to look out onto the beautiful historic downtown.
This is a great place to eat. The staff is very pleasant and the food is very good. They make good cocktails too.
Great food, fabulous service
There are no contenders for well-prepared and well-styled Northern Italian food in Easton. Scossa has consistently delivered fine Italian cuisine in Talbot County for years.
First class restaurant with excellent food. We enjoyed every part of the meal. Sat outside on a beautiful night. Restaurant sits on the mai street of Easton but traffic, except for the Harleys (I own one) was unnoticeable. Took my Dad for his Birthday and he was very happy! Expect about $40-55/person with drinks apps and dinner.
A favorite in Easton MD, a humorous waiter but very attentive and wonderful veal dishes, a good wine list but quiet place with nice music. Have been a few times and will continue going and I noticed and recognized the staff who has been loyal and there for some time. You will like this place!
This was our 55th anniversary. The dinner and service were outstanding. We were able to eat outside and really enjoyed our table. We would recommend this restaurant without any hesitation. We even got a complimentary dessert for our anniversary.
Scossa is consistently excellent. On this occasion it exceeded our very high expectations. Food and service (Richard) were outstanding.
Extremely overpriced for what you get. Atmosphere is lovely, but food quality and portion sizes do not justify the outsized bill. But it's the only game in town (Easton) for upscale Italian, so either we'll grin and bear it, or we'll drive to St Michaels next time.
Across was a first time experience for myself and my daughter for Mother's Day. I live near Ocean City, M.D. And she lived in Bowie, M.D. So it was about halfway for us both. The ambiance was classy yet casual, good was excellent, service very good. I loved the coffee. We would definitely meet there again.
Great service. Great food. Some of the best scallops ever! Hubbie has sweet breads every time because they are the best
Very enjoyable meal and atmosphere. I liked that even on a busy Saturday night it was quiet enough to have a conversation. Everyone enjoyed their meals!
We chose Scossa mainly because we were scheduled to be in Easton around lunch time and, after a quick search, decided on Scossa because the food reviews were generally favorable.
Not sure whether we had the B team in the kitchen but my food had an abundance of salt - exceedingly so - especially the Bolognese sauce. The pasta was fine but not exceptional. My overall impression of the food was "nothing special" which came as a surprise especially in view of the general favorable comments about the quality of the food.
Great service from Richard; very good food; overall very pleasant experience.
We went to Scossa for my husband's birthday -- not the first time. He had the lobster risotto. It was wonderful. I had the spinach and ricotta ravioli which was divinely delicate. And the chocolate dessert was fabulous. Our waitress made sure everything was perfect. She was a delight. We come to Scossa every year when we pick up our boat in Trappe or Oxford.
We live nearby and have been to Scossa a number of times with favorable impressions overall. Out most recent visit was very disappointing. It appears that the tables have been rearranged in order to squeeze more tables into the available interior space. As a result there was little room for the wait staff to pass between us and the adjoining tables. It was unusually noisy as a result, and it was difficult to communicate to my dinner partner.
The beef carpaccio was very grisly and difficult to eat.
Fortunately, we had a very good waiter.
We will not be returning any time soon.
Good location for dinner before show at theatre
