Amazing beer selection, cozy atmosphere, great service definitely love this place!!!
This place never disappoints us, they just updated their menu GREAT JOB SCOOZI!!!!!
Scoozi's was one of the only restaurants that we were able to make a reservation for our large party of 15 on busy Parents Weekend. They did a great job accommodating us! Food and service was great! And they even let us split the bill evenly on 4 credit cards. All in all, it was a great place and we will definitely be returning again!
I had fantastic food at Scoozie and great service. The waitress was very conscious that we were trying to catch a movie on time. Only downside, tables near the bar are much too close together that it made the environment slightly uncomfortable.
Quick reservations and immediate seating before a red sox playoff game!
The food was generally good, the service was slow. Both the food and table service took too long. Several diners sat and had their food in front of them before us, even though they came in after.
Very disappointed with the slow service on a non-game day. We ate inside, not terribly busy, but server seemed newer. Waited for beverages for a long time. Food was ok, but not impressed. Too much sauce on the margherita pizza and portion of chicken parm was disappointing. We had desserts, which were good, glad that capped our night.
Great service and value, wide menu selection, awesome beer list!!!! a must try
The host failed to note that we showed up for our lunch reservation. Thus, I received a "no show" notice from OpenTable. Worse, the host kept telling a late arriving member of our dining party that we were not there yet. Consequently, this student missed our lunch, waiting not 20 feet from us for over 30 minutes because the Scoozi host was too disorganized to properly mark off arriving guests and too lazy to walk around the restaurant to make sure that they weren't mistaken about who had already shown up. I returned to the restaurant to complain later that afternoon upon learning from the distraught student that he missed our lunch but was there the whole time. I received a tepid "Oh, sorry" from a different hostess. Not impressed.
Service was very, very slow. Didn't get waters until we asked for them. Also- the food was overall, pretty lacking in flavor.
Over-priced, but reasonably tasty dishes.
Great food... portions were good ... calamari was awesome..
Chicken in the chicken, broccoli and ziti was an inexpensive type of meat. It was not the breast meat and was tasteless.
Food was bad and cold but the server was good.
The food was good but the service could have been better. When we arrived (at 4:30pm), the restaurant as not full and we were told that we had to be out by 6pm because they needed the table even though we had a reservation. When we left (before 6pm), most of the tables were empty so I'm not sure why we were told we needed to hurry when we arrived. Most of the servers spent more time standing around talking than they did taking orders or checking on their customers. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria and the waitress could not even be bothered to pour the first glass for us when she delivered it. She just sat it down and walked away. The food is good (we really liked the tots) but the management needs to work on the service.
The food and service were just great in all respects! Better than Eastern Standard, better than two 'real Italian' meals I'd had in two different restaurants in the North End. Given that I just got back from my 7th year of living in Italy, I feel I know what great Italian food is. Scoozi was yuummmy:)
Ugh! Over cooked pasta, in a sauce that tastes like it came from a Dolmio jar from the grocery store. Deplorable. Stay away.
Good service, excellent sandwiches, good beer and wine, no liquor.
Food was good. Place is easy to find. I got a Greek Salad. I added Turkey Tips to the salad. The food was good, except that there were only 4 small turkey tips on the Salad, and I was still a little hungry when I left. My friends had burgers which looked yummy, and they seemed to enjoy. The waitress was very pleasant. It's a great place to go for a quick bite before a Sox game.
Wish the cups weren't plastic. Food was better than expected.
Perfect spot to eat prior to a Red Sox game. It is just one block outside of the craziness in Kenmore Square. The food is great. The menus offers many many options (sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, flatbreads, entres) for some of the picky eaters in our crowd. Server was attentive and knowledgable. Good beers on tap. Good value for the $$. Finally, we all noticed that it is a restaurant in which you can have a normal conversation without having to yell at each other! How novel!! I would highly recommend it.
Went here for a quick bite before a Redsox game. It was around the corner/off the beaten path from Fenway allowing for a quiet meal. But....was it quiet because BU was still on summer vacation? The service was slow, my boys had pizza and chicken parmigiana, I ate the mussels crostini. Pizza crust was hard, our mozzarella sticks never came, the crostini spread was too salty and the waitress never came back to check on us. Nothing special about the chicken parm. Did get in and out quickly (an hour-not sure it was that quick) for the game, but don't think I would go back.
Our experience was pretty good considering it was the night of a huge show at Fenway.
First time at Scoozi. We had a party of 8 and were very impressed with the menu and the meals. Great size and a lot of attention to detail. Our server was really helpful with feedback and guidance on options.
Perfect place for dinner and drinks before a show at Fenway!! Great & fast service for large party. Big menu with lots of variety. Food was great!
Wish it was open later! We didn't get there until 9 so only had an hour to eat and drinks. Fried mozzarella balls were frozen, which was a disappointment.
I highly recommend ordering a pitcher of sangria. The value of the food is also fantastic. They easily accommodated our large group as well.
Great outdoor dining area on Commonwealth Ave. Service is good although food is salty. I do like the chicken pesto pizza and it is a reasonably priced place to go for drinks/bar food with friends.
had a great time awesome place to grab something to eat on the way to fenway park
Sat outdoors. Had problem with Steak doneness but was quickly taken care of.
Went here before a concert at Fenway and had a great time. Called the day before and requested outside seating and was so glad I did as it was a beautiful night. I had the mushroom gnocchi and it was delish. My friend had the lobster BLT and it was amazing- they certainly did not skimp on the lobster! The staff was very helpful- it was extremly busy but they were literally running around so guests didn't suffer in any way. Sangria was amazing!
Great place to meet before heading to Fenway Park! Sat outside and enjoyed pizza and salads with friends.
My arugula salad with Parmesan cheese & figs was wonderful with the addition of steak tips. The "Izzy", Stella beer, Pomegranate juice and lemonade
Our server was very accommodating. Super friendly and efficient. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We appreciated the creative drink menu - given the license for beer & wine. Wish we had looked at the drink menu before booking because by the logo I assumed they offered martinis! All in all it was a great experience. The server was outstanding!
Great pizza before the Red Sox game!
I would have given it a 5 star for overall except it doesn't have a full liquor licence, just beer and wine which a few of tht wee there don't drink. Outside of that the food and service was great!
We came on a Fenway game night, so it was pretty quiet.
+ There was lots of space for our party of 14
+ The waitress was good with working with such a large group
+ My turkey burger was awesome
+ Food came out pretty quickly (but we were the only ones there)
+ Not super expensive, we're all college/grad students
- We were the only ones there and our waitress didn't interact with us much
- They were out of fries, didn't tell us before we ordered
- They only gave us one check at the end, didn't even ask if they should split it
Loud. Tables very close to one another. Small portions. Shells on mussels kept breaking. Average all around.
Food except pizza that was served cold was good. Service was excellent. Bathrooms a whole other story.... Very dirty
The food is average at best. The portions are adequate. The restaurant did not have any identity or uniqueness.
