This place is slow to seat you, slow to serve you, and slow to tend to your needs. However, the food keeps you coming back!
2 of us ordered veggie burgers which seemed like they were grocery store quality. For the price, not really worth it. My mom ordered coffee which took 20 minutes.
Terrible service, roof was leaking.
Service was slow at our table; it took several minutes for anyone to come by after we were seated and the waitress ended up being the hostess who seated us. It then took even longer for her to come back and take our food order. She never came back after our food arrived to ask if everything was ok. It wasn't that crowded when we arrived, so I'm not sure what the issue was.
Went for a Sunday/Easter brunch. Food was very good and fresh. Server was friendly and efficient. Would definitely return.
Great ambiance in the restaurant. Amazing service and the food is scrumptious. Very impress with the tasty entrees. Highly recommend.
Fantastic food and service
I've been going to Scion for years and I've always had a pleasant experience. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We asked to move to a booth so we would be more comfortable and the staff were very pleasant about it. Always quality food and a good experience.
Went for the gluten free options and I was not disappointed. Love that they had 5 different gluten free hard ciders. will go again.
The food is great. But the service is very slow. They only had one waiter for the entire dining room.
I got the fettuccine with avocado, shrimp and crab. It was delicious. The nacho crab appetizer was amazing too. The service was friendly but a bit slow due to Valentines day. Overall experience was good. My friend got the surf and turf with scallops and love it. I will be back.
My best friend and I had a wonderful time. I enjoyed the veggi burger and spring rolls. He loved the surf and turf sliders also the duck ravioli and the pumpkin bread pudding.
We've gone back to Scion each year for a pre-theater dinner before a show at the nearby performing arts center. The food has always been good, as the service. And the beer selection is excellent!
Scion is a GREAT place! I just went here for the first time for brunch with my friend and it was awesome. Cool ambiance, friendly service, and the food is super delicious. My friend and I shared a fruit plate while she got the avocado toast and I got the huevos rancheros. The fruit tray was a generous portion and the fruit was fresh and yummy. The huevos rancheros were awesome and the potato things they had on the side were amazing! Definetely try the poinsetta drink as well - it's different and oh so good. We will be back for sure!
Took my parents here for dinner. Have to say, kind of an unassuming place by the looks of it, but we were all very happy with our meals. Prices very reasonable and a long list of craft beers. Dad got pot pie, wife got buffalo mac and cheese, Mom got the garden risotto, and I got the Scion burger. Pleasant service, nice clean bathroom. Didn't try the desserts this time, but next time I'm in the neighborhood, I would definitely head back to Scion.
Food was good service was ok and restaurant was drafty.
We went to Scion without knowing much what to expect with a family of five, including 3 children under 6 years of age.
We ordered some wings and spring roles as starters. The wings were on the spicy side (too spicy for our kids) but were otherwise delicious. The spring rolls were excellent as well. We then ordered mac'n'cheese and the burgers for the kids, the pork chop and the beef. The food was really really good and will definitely go there again!
The place was fairly empty, but we were very early (around 5pm) on a Saturday. There were other families with kids, and we got the impression that it is a kids friendly place.
Scion has yet to disappoint me and I've been 4 times now to both locations. The food is delicious and I've also had excellent service every time. The only thing I would suggest is for them to change/update the decor a bit and make it a little cozier. Overall though, the atmosphere is very relaxed, especially thanks to the reggae tunes that are often playing.
We enjoyed the food and it was pretty quiet that night. Somewhat limited menu but it is better than your average sports bar.
The sever was by himself and he did one helluva job! The food was amazing!
Nice looking restaurant with a busy bar scene. The service was okay, although i think every restaurant should train its wait staff to NOT clear plates until all guests have finished the course.
Unfortunately, many of the dishes we ordered were disappointing: avocado pesto with shrimp and crab was mushy with scant seafood. Duck ravioli seemed to lack duck. Wasabi salad was nothing more than a little bit of lettuce, some crispy Asian noodles and bottled dressing. On the plus side, turkey meat loaf entree was good, as was the scallop and white bean appetizer.
We were a party of six. The first of us were seated promptly even though the entire party had not yet arrived. We were immediately given menus and asked about drink selections. The beer selection is impressive, especially the diversity of canned and bottled brews.
There were enough main dish selections so that nobody had trouble finding a dish, but there were no so many that deciding was complicated.
The dishes came properly spaced, so that we did not feel rushed. The quality was good and the sides were obviously freshly made.
The only down side is the parking. On a Friday night, it took quite a while to find spaces, and even the suggested garage was full. The closest available street parking was blocks away.
Overall, Scion made a favorable impressions.
Food was above average. Good selection of food and beers. Service was good except 1 person in our group got his food 5-10 minutes later than the rest of us. Ambience is lacking, but it was quiet and not crowded which is what we wanted.
I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. It was sort of boring and almost trying too hard. The service was poor, the wait to get our food was over an hour, and the food, when it arrived, was OK at best.
The food was fine, but I was upcharged for three tomato slices instead of what most of my party got as a side (a half plate of potatoes or toast). I feel like that was a little unnecessary for three little tomato slices.
Good food and service. Restaurant interior was too brightly lit for a Saturday evening.
We loved the Scion. We met out of town friends there for brunch and it was outstanding. Terrific food and great service.
PLEASE treat yourself to the potato nachos is you are going for brunch. I'm salivating now thinking of it.
Great food in a timely manner. Would go back again.
There was barely anyone there when we arrived but the staff wouldn't seat us without a full party. We finally were allowed to sit down after about 25 min. Servers were inattentive and slow. Food was good but nothing special. Except the potatoes that came with breakfast entrees - delicious! But, I would still rather go somewhere else next time.
A wonderful experience from the moment we entered. The service was great and the food was quite delectable. There was only one working bartender/waitress, but she did a good job of managing all aspects.
Great place for Sunday brunch. Pulled duck on jambalaya biscuits was outstanding. Cranberry mimosas by the pitcher a bargain and tasty. Wait staff were friendly and helpful. All around great experience.
Last minute pick to meet friends for dinner, great food and beer selections, quiet outdoor seating, inside looked good too. Friendly staff
Made reservations online... couldn't find parking so I called to let staff know I was on the way. Staff kindly directed me via phone to great FREE parking!!!
My guest arrived before me and the server "snootily" asked her if she had a reservation. There was one other couple in the entire restaurant at this time. Other staff quickly diffused the semi insulting situation by informing him that I had called and indeed had reservations.
After that confrontation, I noted that we had to ask him for everything-- cocktail napkins, coffee refills, bag for carry out, etc.
The food was creative and very tasty. Service and attitude by this one server was less than acceptable. Every other staff person encountered was personable, friendly and helpful.
This was my first time at Scion. We went there for Sunday Brunch. I wish it had opened a little earlier than 11:30 but the service and menu were pleasing. Their "potatoes" are delicious spicy potato chips. They were amenable to specific requests. I will go back.
Everything was fine -- nothing too special.
Service could use a little work.
Best lunch ever, nice and quiet. Very good food. I especially recommend crabcake sandwiche with fries.
The restaurant had some menu flubs (descriptions didn't match the plate as served), and the staff was happy to correct them and comp the mistakes. Our main issue was that the staff, while very nice, didn't manage the simple things like what beers were ordered, bringing a glass along with a canned beer, remembering the beer ordered the second time around and such. It was mostly a polish thing, maybe it was an off night, and maybe it wasn't, but there are too many good restaurants in the area to allow for flubs AND lackadaisical table waiting.
Family of four stopped for late lunch. Quiet table. Burgers were cooked perfectly. Mediterranean salad with chicken was light option that was packed with flavor. Hostess was helpful in directing us to close free parking garage. Waitress was attentive but not hovering.
Very cute spot! The food was great. Our waiter Lucas did a great job!
We had a family brunch on a Sunday morning and everyone liked their food. The potato chips are homemade and delicious.
