   good pub food to grab as a quick stop. truffle fries were yummy

   I walked by this place, but never been in. I wish I gone earlier cause the place is great. Had the chicken carbonara and chimichurri steak. Both were excellent. They have a lot of pizzas that I definitely wanna try so hopefully I’ll be back soon. They have pool tables in another bar on the second floor. Seems like a fun place.

   The waiters were not very attentive. The kitchen closed at a certain point that we were not aware of, and it took forever for us to just get menus.

   Food tasted great. Came during lunch hour so it was busy but still received good service.

   Food was excellent, group got buffalo chicken dip and hummus plate to start — both great — and a burger, beyond burger, chef’s special pasta, chicken parm, and steak frites. Everyone enjoyed their meals with no complaints. Service however was not great. Waitress was not present or sincere. Otherwise great meal in a great atmosphere with lovely Christmas decorations! also the wings… hidden gem. so underrated and unexpected but spicy, perfect crisp, blue cheese on the side; all u can ask for

   Service was very, very S L O W. Had to eat really fast and almost missed our curtain time. Wait staff was attentive, so I don’t think it was them.

    I had never heard of Scholars. We went for Dine Out Boston. The fish cakes were good. Nothing special. But they gave two cakes. The slaw sauce tasted better than the cakes. We all paid the $5 upcharge for the steak frites. It was good. The steak wasn't as tender as I like. We were able to try all three sauces. The pesto was very good. And I used the blue cheese on the little salad that came with the entree. For dessert, most of the table got the ice cream or Sorbet. Two of us got the bread pudding. I asked the server before I ordered it if it is served warm. I was told it was. My colleagues' bread pudding was served warm. Mine was not. I could barely dig into it with the spoon. When I told the server, he went in the back. Then he came out and said it is not supposed to be served warm and would I like something else. I asked to speak to a manager. When I showed the manager that I couldn't even dig into it with my spoon. She said it's probably because the ice cream was on top and made it hard. It wasn't just hard on top, it wasn't warm in the middle. After a short discussion, she finally took it back and brought me another piece that was nice & warm. The food was good. Not great. The service left a bit to be desired. Would I go back? Probably not.
