   Restaurant was not ready for restaurant week. It was obvious that they were short staffed. We had a pleasant evening and food was well prepared. However it was not a “dining experience “.

   Just disappointed, ordered dessert when we ordered dinner, but waiter said all that was left we cupcakes instead of what we wanted, but dinner was excellent.

   Arrived at time of reservation and was seated immediately. Host and hostess were both polite, friendly, and professional. We didn’t wait long for drinks or for our meals. We ordered chicken schnitzel, knockwurst, mettwurst, potato pancakes, and strudel for dessert. Everything was fantastic and reasonably priced. This was my first time at Schnitzel & Co. It certainly will not be my last visit.

   I’m glad to see they’ve re-opened and look forward to my next visit. I forgot to order a birch beer and hope it’s still offered. One small critique is about the pretzel appetizer: pretzeled itself was a bit stale (we still ate the entire thing, so it couldn’t have been that bad). Other than this, the meal and service was terrific.

    If I could give it negative stars, I would. We made reservations. The restaurant wasn’t even full and they only had a special menu with 8-10 items. We were seated by a very pleasant hostess (so that was good) and a server never came to our table. After 15 minutes, we left. I noticed tables around us also didn’t have drinks and very few had food. I didn’t even see a server in the restaurant in all that time. I understand being short-staffed, but like I said, there were no servers in sight. Another table asked the host where the server was and was told she’d be over. By the time we left there was still no one. Transit Road location should’ve thought about staying closed.
