   Schnitzel was only okay for me. I think money would be better spent elsewhere. Restaurant was old and cool looking inside, tho.

   Der Service war super, Essen sehr lecker. Wir waren das erste Mal in der Schildkröte mit Besuch aus NRW. Alle waren sehr begeistert.

   Wir waren schon häufiger in der Schildkröte. Es ist ein sehr uriges, typisches Berliner Restaurant. Das Essen ist gut und die Auswahl wie man es sich in einem gutbürgerlichen Lokal vorstellt. Der Service könnte etwas aufmerksamer sein. Insgesamt können wir die Schildkröte nur empfehlen, insbesondere für diejenigen, die auf gutbürgerliche deutsche Küche stehen und ein leckeres Bier trinken wollen.

   Der Empfang war eher nichts für empfindliche Gemüter. Waren 20 Minuten früher und bekamen zunächst zu hören "dann wissen Sie ja, dass Sie zu früh sind. Der Tisch ist ab 20:00 Uhr reserviert. " Die Schnitzel waren fad und trocken, die Soße vom Sauerbraten viel zu dick, Getränke und Preis/Leistung ansonsten okay, Kellner freundlich und flott. Alles in allem okay, aber stark auf Commerce ausgerichtet.

   Update: Thank you to restaurant for accepting honest review and criticism, we love coming back to Schildkroete and we will be back for sure. It is a great place to hang out with a good company, food is great, portions are huge, only remark would be: 1. Service staff seems stiff at times and quite pushy to order as soon as you are given the menu, we asked to give us 2 minutes to read the menu but that 2 minutes was 20 seconds at most and we were told our booking is for 1,5 hours only so we need to leave before then, which I did not find info while making the booking. 2. They become quite aggressive if you say payment is by card, and instantly become extremely polite if you are paying in cash (observed in 5-6 visits over the years)

   Freundlich empfangen und der reservierte Tisch stand auch schon etwas früher zur Verfügung Sehr engagierte Mitarbeiter brachten sehr leckere Speisen und Getränke immer sehr schnell zu den Tischen Wir waren schon das zweite Mal in diesem Lokal und würden bei zukünftigen Berlinbesuchen gerne wiederkommen
