Scaturro's Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
While we waited for our table, it took at least 10 minutes to get a drink from the inside bar and we tried to get the bartenders attention several times. Dinner was excellent, especially the special with linguini, lobster, crab and shrimp. Unfortunately my date and I could barely hear each other across the table because it was so loud in the dining room. Our server was great. We wanted to listen to the band afterward but it was way too crowded so we left.
My husband and I have been to Scaturro's a number of times over the years. The food is good, we were seated quickly and our service was satisfactory. We visited the night before Valentine's Day. It was very crowded, somewhat noisy and the room was chilly (but it was a VERY cold night outdoors). They had a varied menu and a few Valentine's Day specials. I had chicken and my husband had a seafood pasta dish; both were very good. The lava cake was terrific! We will go back I'm sure!
Arrived and was told by hostess they did not have our reservation, we were able to be seated near the bar, which was very loud and noisy. Waitress made excuses for poor service all night (I ordered a salad that I never got and her response was "ugh I hate people,"). Waitress also felt the need to tell us upfront she is a bartender and not a regular server, seemed to be implying there would probably be errors in the service before we even ordered. Food was decent, probably would not return.
I found your restaurant on the way to Atlantic City about 4 years ago. I live in Northeast Philadelphia and there was a traffic jam and my friend Arnie and I decided to try your restaurant.
What a treasure we found! The food was absolutely delicious - the appetizer, tomato caprese with the tomato, cheese and basil is the greatest! I get that every time I come to your restaurant.
I have also recommended your restaurant to my manager at the insurance company where I work and she has since booked dinners when we have out of state visitors. I have heard great
comments from them after dining at your restaurant.
I recently took my friend and brother last Saturday for a New Year's treat. Again it was superb!
We ended up going to your outside lounge where we enjoyed Final Vinyl. They were a great band
and played a variety of hits from famous artists. We heard they were coming back in March and believe me, we will be there. Whatever you guys are doing, keep it up...You definitely are a First
class restaurant in every way.
Good experienced as far as the service and restaurant look and feel. Meatball appetizer was good. Chicken parmesan was a basic chicken parmesan. Wife got the chicken Napoli. She did not enjoy this. Chicken was too thick, should have probably been pounded thin. Egg plant seemed undercooked and chewy.
We traveled one hour to get to Scaturros on a recommendation. It was more than worth the trip. We brought friends and they are all hooked. They took the old Italian recipes and made them new. Just a little different twist to the recipes.
I am second generation Italian and cook Italian. This food was definitely competition for me. I would love some of their recipes.
Our friends have passed the word and we have others asking to take them there!!!
Definitely the place for a special occasion.
We had the Scottish Salmon, buffalo shrimp, sea good Risotto, and veal with lobster!
Give it a try you will be pleasantly surprised.
Kind of a loud restaurant...very awesome food and service but attempting to talk over a meal seemed a bit difficult as the bar music was spilling into the restaurant. I found myself yelling to my date to have a normal conversation. Other than that minuscule opinion the service was amazing and the food was absolutely perfect. Definitely going here again, but may try earlier to avoid loud crowds.
The food and service at the table was good as always! We sat at the main bar for about 30 minutes before we were seated and it was a mess! The bartenders were not in sync at all. Waitstaff were waiting for a longtime for drinks and were complaining loud enough for customers to hear. At one point, they ran out of clean glasses and couldn't serve any drinks until they cleaned some. The two bartenders were very overwhelmed!
Dined here for our 1st anniversary.....Scaturro's has become (hands down!) our favorite restaurant in the area!!!!
We brought the top of our wedding cake in & shared it with the fabulous folks there...and they enjoyed it nearly as much as we did on our wedding day last year!!! (yes, it's true....you really CAN freeze the top of your wedding cake and serve it on your first anniversary!!! Wrap in Saran Wrap and then wrap well in aluminum foil, twice. As delicious as at your wedding!)
Thanks to everyone at Scatturo's for making our anniversary so special....especially Mark!

Bella Notte....beautiful night!!!! That's what we had last night at Scatturr0's ! It was our first visit and most definitely will NOT be our last. The staff are welcoming from the first hello to the end of the evening. The music..several IlDivo cd's..as well as all the other music, was fantastic. The food was indescribably delicious and we're looking forward to our next visit!!!!
We had dinner at 5:00 o'clock, so the evening crowd had not yet arrived.....ambiance was great!
We were a party of six including children. The appetizers were fantastic. Superb salads!
Main courses were plentiful and quite flavorful. The desserts were excellent. It was the first time we have dined at Scaturro's, but it will not be our last. Thank you to all of the chefs, cooks, servers and other wait staff.
Our waiter was good, our food was good, the bar was so loud it shouldn't be that close to a restaurant. We were probably there on a bad day but the screaming clowns at the bar should have been brought under control instead of being allowed to ruin everyone's meal.
The calamari was exceptional, which was a signal for the culinary treat(s) we were in for. My veal Piccata was the BEST I've ever had. My wife's linguine ai Frutti di Mare was exceptional. We were both pleasantly surprised my pur meals, and Tina, our waitress, made the evening perfect. Thank you!
I had been anticipating dining at Scaturro's for several years. It is beautiful and very classically set up. The complimentary concierge was welcome. Then came the food. Nothing was remotely special. Chicken was rubbery and tasteless, soup was watery, fish was overdone.
The pasta was done very well and the Fra Diavlo sauce were both very good. It did not offset the rest of a very average to below average meal.
It was Saturday of Father's Day weekend and the kitchen staff was visibly (you can see them preparing the meals) stressed. The dining room was very loud. Uncomfortably so. Based on the date I chose to go there; I may have to give them a mulligan but it probably won't be anytime soon. All four diners were disappointed and are unlikely to be clamoring for a return.
It was my first time eating at this restaurant. My reservation was for 7:30 p.m. When we checked in the table was not available so we told them we would have a cocktail at the bar which took 10 minutes to get. At 8:15 p.m. I went back to the hostess to see if she forgot about us. She said she is waiting for a nice table and I appreciated that so I said ok we are still at the bar. We were finally seated at 8:30 p.m. It took awhile for the server to come to the table to wait on us. We ordered an appetizer which took awhile to come and then the soup came now bringing us to 9:00 p.m. By 9:45 my husband said we cannot wait any longer for our meal and to wrap it. At 9:59 they brought us our dinner and check. I felt they did not have enough staff and everyone was running around. I will come back because the food was delicious, but I don't want to wait so long for a table and a meal.
A group of 5 co-workers and I went there and it was as advertised by my boss who recommended. Good appetizer selection and huge salads. Best Pasta e Fagioli soup I've ever had. Three of us tried the CHICKEN VALDOSTANO which was superb. I was the only one that tried a salad, the Grilled Pear Salad intrigued me. Different, tasty, but ultimately we were all stuffed, no room to try desert.
Worth a stop if you are in the area - not your typical Chain Italian place.
This was my second time visting this restaurant. The first time was excellent, but Valentine's Day was just horrible. I had a 8:30 reservation and I did not get seated until 9. They brought in these small tables so they could pack more people in. There was no coat check which made the space at the table even tighter. I checked the menu ahead of time and when I went to order, I was told they ran out. How do you run of of your most expensive item on the menu. Sorry Scaturros but I will not be coming back!
