About Scarpetta - The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
Dine in true Italian fashion while overlooking the famed fountains at Scarpetta. The name comes from an Italian expression meaning “little shoe,” the shape bread takes when used to soak up a dish. In this way, Scarpetta is true to its name, delighting in the pleasure of savoring a meal down to the very last taste. This earthy-yet-sophisticated approach to Italian cuisine features a soulful menu of seasonally-inspired fare.

Scarpetta - The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
Please skip this location and only go to the one in Miami, which is mind-blowing.
Complimentary bread: best part of the meal, especially the eggplant spread
Octopus appetizer: fairly tasty, but the beans were too salty and thus inedible. The Miami version is perfection in a way that will make you year up, but this Vegas version just passed.
Polenta: bland. But get this in Miami and you'll wonder why you can't eat it for every meal
Scallops: very good, cooked to perfection.
Duck and foie gras ravioli: So salty I could barely finish it. And I add salt to everything. The reduction was reduced too much, making the entire plate inedible but I was hungry.
Everything was amazing! They didn't offer the tasting menu on the night we dined there, but they helped us make our own which was excellent! They even pair wines with each course. Spagetti lives up to the hype and the scallops were delish. I think my favorite was the bread and the pici pasta. Definitely will be back.
Wine with cork debris.
So late to bring coffee and tea when I ordered the dessert.
Food is great but service looks bothering the quality.
Biggest problem is that my complaining had not passed to the manager. Whenever I talked my feedback to each one (3 persons) from low to high level, one feedback was missed at each time. I don’t think the restaurant manager fully understood the whole issue when he tried to apologized. It seems that each of his crew swallowed his fault each time so that their manager was reported with only partial of problems.
Specially I was so surprised that the mid manager who looks working as Sommelier missed to report his fault about the wine debris that the restaurant manager seemed never heard.
The service was good and the ambience elegant. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. I have had better Italian, when it comes to home made pastas. We also ordered the Calamari Misto, which was suppose to be Calamari, Shrimp, and Vegies. We got no shrimp, cauliflower, calamari, and some other vegie I can't recall, which obviously was not memorable. I expect to get what's on the menu for such a high end restaurant, or at least be advised of the change prior to serving us the dish. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive, and polite, which I have to say was a plus. He did not bring the appetizer out and perhaps did not realize that the change had been made.
My search for a romantic birthday dinner for my Wife brought me here, and we could not have been happier. Starting with warm birthday greetings from the hostess, moving on to special seating by the window overlooking the Bellagio fountains, we were on our way. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was delicious. From the warm bread basket featuring 4 different selections, to the perfect scallop appetizer, culminating in two fabulous pasta entrees...what a great meal! Thank you to Scarpetta for making my Wife's birthday so special!
The best thing about Scarpetta is the food. Everything we ate was outstanding! The service definitely could have been better and it was really cold in the restaurant the night we were in there. It's going to cost you a little bit if you go in there, but again, the food was very high quality. It's a good atmosphere to bring a date or to celebrate an anniversary.
I was excited to go here because I love Scott Conant. I was surprised there were so few people there. Super dark. Other than that it was great. View of Bellagio water show. Food was fantastic. The people next to us were acting like big shots but discussing leaving the waiter a paltry tip - which was annoying but not the restaurant’s fault. Veal was amazing. I hope more people come here on average so this one doesn’t go away.
An absolutely delightful experience. Lovely food served attentively but with no pretentiousness. Food was delicious to both the eye and to the taste. That you have a superb view of Bellagio's fountains adds another layer of fun. An all-around charming experience. Adding to the evening's pleasure, we learned the gender of our grandchild-to-be thru behind the scenes machinations surrounding dessert, arranged by our daughter (who was not at dinner with us) with Euny (sp?). Staff could not have been more kind. With special thanks to Euny.
With so many exceptional restaurants on the Strip it’s rare to find one that really - really - stands out. This one does. Scarpetta (Scott Conant) blew us away with the ambience, the view (Bellagio fountain), the service, but most of all the FOOD! The lobster pici will change your life. This one’s a must.
Such a stunning restaurant. We were seated by the fountain and got a fun show every few minutes. My biggest disappointment was how dark the restaurant is. Unable to take any photos at all (without the flash...we didn’t want to disturb anyone) we were majorly bummed. It was hard to see our food as well. I would not visit this site again.
Very disappointing overall. The restaurant was far too dark, the service was basically "OK" but not for fine dining establishment. We were very unfortunate to be sitting next to 3 pilots, one of which was very loud and sprinkled the entire evening with "F" Bombs and other language... which is not what you want to hear all through dinner... coupled with being right next to a station for the wait staff (but at least the register gave off some ambient light in the corner we were at)
Food was not especially good...
Oh well, mediocre experience for $$$$ bill............
At best, only ok. We picked it because it was the highest rated Italian restaurant in Las Vegas according to Yelp. If that is true, Las Vegas is not a good city for Italian food. We ordered three pasta dishes and a salmon entree. Only the salmon passed muster. Dont bother with Scarpetta
When the best part of a sit down meal is a cocktail and the dessert you know there is a serious problem! The bread basket to start is average and the accompaniments above average. For our meal, we started off with the tuna carpaccio which was flavorless except for the Serrano pepper which overpowered the dish and burned out tongue! The fritto misto was fresh and a good-sized portion but overly salty. The short rib agnolotti was the saltiest pasta dish I have ever eaten and we sent it back to the kitchen as it was inedible. We asked the waiter for another recommendation but he stood there blankly. We ordered the raviolini as a replacement which was bland and uninteresting. The pasta itself at Scarpetta is well made. Too bad the sauces, menu, and seasoning are so off! The Brussels sprouts were not memorable either. The passion fruit panna cotta on the other hand was absolutely delicious! Beautiful location overlooking the Bellagio fountains! I would not recommend this restaurant.
The restaurant is beautiful and great views of the fountains...the service was fantastic. If traditional Italian is what your looking for this is not your place.. with that said the waitress guided me to a dish that met my needs and was fantastic. I enjoyed everything but would not go back because it's just not my preference of Italian . Other than that I have nothing bad to say. I would recommend seeing the menu before you book your reservation
By far the best restaurant in Vegas. Not only is the service excellent, but the food is fantastic. We are used to eating expensive meals wherever we go, but most restaurants are not worth it. Scarpetta is worth every penny, from the scallop appetizer to the short rib agnolotti and the amazing kobe rib cap. Don't forget the cheesecake for dessert. We ate here two nights in a row and will gladly come back for more next time. We definitely recommend the tasting menu.
It was very good but I didn't enjoy the sauce on my Ossobuco but very tender! It was the sauce that turned me off. It tasted a little like barbecue sauce. My husband loved his veal parm. We had the scallop appetizer. Only 2 scallops for $22. Delicious but a bit pricey.
Overall it was a very good restaurant just not for me.
Beautiful view! Ask for a window seat facing the Bellagio if you decide to go. You can see the water show on the hour.
The service was extremely slow. Our server was clueless when asked about wine and which ingredients were in the seasonal mixed vegetables dish. The flavor of the food was good, which made up for the service. The plating of the agnolotti is really bad. Imagine ravioli cut up in small bites like it were for a child, then a finishing sauce squirted over the pasta like a teriyaki take-out. Despite the kids-menu appearance, it was very flavorful. Overall too many strikes to compete with the many other fine restaurants close by.
There was a very noisy table which ruined everyone's dinner,
it is supposed to be one of the best restaurants in Cosmo,
the manager took care of it but at the end of everyone's dinner.
That makes the standards low class.
Manager and our waitress were nice and polite by the way.
As always Scarpetta was at the top of its service and food. This was our 5th visit to this location. We have also dined at the original in NYC. We prefer this location much better. The wait staff and wine steward are always friendly and helpful. The fois grois ravioli is the best. Since 2 of us asked to split this as an appetizer and then ordered the veal chop parmigiana the waitress also suggested we split this as well. It was a wonderful suggestion as it was plenty for the two of us. We will return many times in the future.
