About Scarpetta - The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
Dine in true Italian fashion while overlooking the famed fountains at Scarpetta. The name comes from an Italian expression meaning “little shoe,” the shape bread takes when used to soak up a dish. In this way, Scarpetta is true to its name, delighting in the pleasure of savoring a meal down to the very last taste. This earthy-yet-sophisticated approach to Italian cuisine features a soulful menu of seasonally-inspired fare.

Scarpetta - The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
The service was extremely slow. Our server was clueless when asked about wine and which ingredients were in the seasonal mixed vegetables dish. The flavor of the food was good, which made up for the service. The plating of the agnolotti is really bad. Imagine ravioli cut up in small bites like it were for a child, then a finishing sauce squirted over the pasta like a teriyaki take-out. Despite the kids-menu appearance, it was very flavorful. Overall too many strikes to compete with the many other fine restaurants close by.
There was a very noisy table which ruined everyone's dinner,
it is supposed to be one of the best restaurants in Cosmo,
the manager took care of it but at the end of everyone's dinner.
That makes the standards low class.
Manager and our waitress were nice and polite by the way.
As always Scarpetta was at the top of its service and food. This was our 5th visit to this location. We have also dined at the original in NYC. We prefer this location much better. The wait staff and wine steward are always friendly and helpful. The fois grois ravioli is the best. Since 2 of us asked to split this as an appetizer and then ordered the veal chop parmigiana the waitress also suggested we split this as well. It was a wonderful suggestion as it was plenty for the two of us. We will return many times in the future.
Service is excellent! Both from a food & wine perspective.
I know the rent is high but when 98% of the bottles are over $100 come on really?!
Salads were all fresh and excellent !!
Breads - get rid of the others, the Stromboli is ridiculous !!
All the pasta dishes we had were excellent!!!
You can tell they are homemade and fresh!
Fish dishes were disappointing. No umami to them.
Little donuts for dessert were crazy good!!
The reviews for this spot were totally accurate. The food was great and the service was friendly and professional. Everyone loved their food and we had an excellent time watching the fountains.
We would happily recommend this spot for anyone looking for a romantic spot with handcrafted and fresh Italian food
We ordeded 1/2 dozen oysters that tasted great. Read alot of reviews about their spaghetti and so we ordered but that was Okayish and over hyped. We shared a Prime Filet Beef with a side of the Potatoes which was decent. Ordered myself a sazerac at the bar but it was totally not to my expectation as I could tell it wasnt made correctly. Overall, an average experience.
We went to Scarpetta a few years ago and when we were in Las Vegas last year we could not get a reservation so this year I planned ahead. We were so excited because it had been so wonderful the first time and I have to say it was even better this time. Everything from ambiance to food to service was EXCELLENT!!! We loved it and will go back every time we are in town.
Great dinner! Staff was very professional and friendly. A must have is the simple but homemade tomato basel spaghetti. The waiter split that for us and we shared a second dish to try it all. The yellow tail appetizer was excellent and I'd almost go back just for the bread basket.
This is the third visit. We come every year when we host our conference. Its become tradition. Excellent food. And until now excellent service. This time was really bad. Very disappointed. They didnt keep our drinks full, not even the water. The food plates were not picked up in a timely fashion. This is not a cheap place and the expectation is excellent service. The food itself was fantastic. I just was surprised at the service this time.
Scarpetta is one of my favorite places to eat in the country. The food, as always, was great (Veal Osso Bucco). The service, which is usually excellent, was very poor this time around which was disappointing. Our waiter never returned to see if we would like a second drink and never checked in after the food arrived. The place was not busy so the inattentive service was strange. I'll chalk the service this night as being a fluke and outside the norm.
In my reservation I said it was a special occasion (but not what) and that my wife was gluten free. At two other restaurants both acknowledged the special occasion and both gave my wife a gluten free menu, with no prompting. To Scarpetta’s we were just a couple of diners off the street. And when we had finished the main course we were presented with our bill; nothing about a desert, coffee or liquor, so we paid our bill and left. Not a good experience.
Slow service, servers looked tired and disinterested. Small portions, split the dishes, ruined presentation and esthetic appeal of dish. Polenta was delicious, and the spaghetti was flavourful, but the chicken was dry and chewy. We had to return the chicken dish. To give Scarpetta due credit, they did not charge us for the inedible chicken dish.
Overall, not impressed at all.
Asked the server about my choices as I have food allergies. One was a no go, the other two were fine. However, when I came back from the bathroom, the waiter had already decided what to get for me (the way more expensive dish, of course). Meal came with fast food speed.... overall okay food but way overpriced.
My wife and I ate here on the last night of our honeymoon after spending a week in nearby national parks. The service was great - everyone was warm and friendly, offering us congratulations and making us feel welcome. The food was amazing and just what we were looking for. Cocktails and wine were also great, with good selection and some great Italian wines and apertifs!
Service was excellent but I wasn't blown away by the food. The octopus was good but I've had better at local restaurants. My pasta dish was very good but my brother said his was no better than a dish from a chain restaurant. My brother-in-law had the pork chop and said it was excellent. Ambiance was very dark and a bit unenergetic. Food came out a bit quick between courses as well.
