Beautiful venue excellent food great service.
Lovely meal and excellent service. Started with short ribs and polenta. Polenta is amazing! Had halibut and cod as entrees and both fantastic.
We enjoyed our anniversary dinner very much. The halibut was one of the best fish dinners I have ever had. The oceanfront location is spectacular. I am sorry that it turned out to be a very windy and cold night, or I would have had even a better time. The outside seating around the firepit was just too cold to enjoy. We will definitely be back again when we are in Montauk.
Amazing staff and food. Ambiance is obviously a given!
We had a wonderful time. The staff was outstanding, friendly, professional and expedient. The food was excellent. Although portions were minuscule, appetizer size. We normally share dishes because we are not big eaters but frankly these portions were smaller than what even we expected. The ambience was terrific. Totally renovated, modern and beautifully decorated. Having dog allergies I was not fond of the fact that dogs are allowed to roam with their owners, sit on the couches and leave behind dander and hair. I think pets should be restricted from dining and drinking indoor areas.
Great food and view!
This restaurant had the 3 things we were looking for; excellent food, good service and a really beautiful view. The restaurant is elegant, yet comfortable. We had appetizers, main courses and desserts. Particularly delicious were the Brussels sprout appetizer and duck foie gras ravioli. The dishes were all attractively presented. The service was perfect. Everything was superb.
A special place for a special occasion......the tuna sushi and scallops were delicious as was the polenta with mushrooms and halibut...gorgeous location looking out to the Atlantic.......
My husband and I enjoyed an amazing meal here. I asked for a table with a view and they placed us both on the same side of the table looking directly at the ocean - so thoughtful. The food was delicious and interesting, the cocktails were fabulous and the service was attentive without being overbearing. This was our one night in Montauk and we were so glad we chose Scarpetta. They made it so special and memorable. Thank you everyone.
We got there 20 minutes there were empty tables but they made us wait then sat us at one of the empty tables. The service was terrible and the food was worse. So much fat on the roast beef couldn't eat it. Then to cap it off the bill was exhorbatant and they added a 20%tip for poor or non existant service at a buffet. Needless to say we won't be going back there any time soon. It was much better under the last management.
Very good, but a little over priced at $75 PP for Easter Brunch.
Spectacular place & spectacular food!!
I’ve been to Scarpetta and Scarpetta Beach tons of times but I must say the spaghetti wasn’t as good this time. I was disappointed as I’d mentioned it so much to my boyfriend who was visiting from Europe. Normally, the pasta is al dente and flavorful but this time the noodles were too soft and overall it was mediocre. The waiter was great however.
Loved the bread basket and spreads (it’s the small things!) and the service was great. The lamb, goat cheese and artichoke pasta was awesome- heavy so good one to share.
The food here is amazing. I’ve eaten here for times and tried many things off the menu. Have yet to have something that didn’t wow me. The spaghetti is so good. Ifs such a simple dish, but the best I have ever had. I also can’t save enough about the manager Avery. Everything we have dined here he has been attentive to all the tables, offered great suggestions and generally helped create such a nice atmosphere. He goes above and beyond for his customers.
Exceptional food and service.
Wonderful menu, knowledgeable professional staff, food is really good and well worth the price. We eat here often in off season, so glad to have such a great local dining option!
The food was phenomenal. Our server was attentive and excellent. However, when I make an 8:00 reservation I expect to be seated at 8, not 8:30. I would have selected an 8:30 reservation if that’s what I wanted. I found this unprofessional. It was as if they hadn’t planned appropriately for the number of people that evening.
First off, the food was fabulous, and our server was personable and pleasant.
But, it I found the blonde hostess to be rude and inattentive. After showing on time our 8:00pm reservation, and giving our name, I was told to be patient and have a seat. We were the either ignored (as as many as 6 tables were then sat) or forgotten. It took two more trips to the hostess and giving her my name two more times, and we were finally seated at 8:25.
I’ve been spending 20 Years visiting Gurney’s, and this was the only time I considered leaving the resort to eat elsewhere.
Luckily the food and dinner service left a great taste in our mouths. And kudos to the chef! My girlfriend spent most of her life living in Alaska, and this was the best Halibut she’s had outside of her Home state.
Our experience was amazing! They went above and beyond to get to know us and the food was absolutely amazing! I recommend this restaurant to everyone, especially if you are celebrating a special occasion! It was our first anniversary and they gave us a complimentary glass of champagne and also made our dessert extra special! They go above and beyond here to make our experience extra special. We highly recommend!
Beautiful in the off season, Fire Pit to watch the moon rise over the ocean. Great food! Amazing pasta choices, innovative menu. Noise level permits conversation among fellow diners. We will be back again and again!
They treated us fantastically for the first dinner after our wedding.
Good food and drink. Waiter was not overly friendly (...could have been having a bad day...as we all do from time to time). Most tables for 2 are crowded together but we dined early to avoid getting boxed in.
had a very nice dinner. 40 year old port was exceptional. strongly recommend
Our table placement was perfect.
Service was impeccable.
Food was excellent .
We were allowed to relax and take our time.
Perfect evening from beginning to finish.
Tasty great service and cool vibe- went off season can only imagine in season
We came to celebrate because we got married on the 14th. The food was delicious and the wait service were so nice!
Fantastic wine recommendation and bartenders.
Prices were on the high side, especially a $50.00 corking fee, but was a very nice evening.
Our waiter was wonderful. The food was good, not great.
MY wife and I were celebrating our 37th Wedding Anniversary and have a tradition of doing a long weekend even year at our favorite place Montauk, Long Island. As always I check your reviews and everyone gave Scarpetta great reviews and BOY where they right. From the moment we walked in you could see it was a special place. The staff could not have been nicer and made sure everything was Okay beginning to end. The best part was the FOOD. I had the Duck which was the BEST I have ever eaten and I have had my share of Long Island Duck over the last 50 years. My wife had the Grilled Salmon which was also superb. Without the next time I come I may eat there every night!
It was a great meal for our first anniversary dinner. Very good service and great food. Not the cheapest, but worth it for the special occasion.
2nd time at Scarpetta and the food did not disappoint -Food delicious. Shared the polenta with mushrooms - outstanding appitizer! ordered diver scallops which were cooked to perfection and the spahgetti - both amazing!!!. Waiter staff is always attentive and helpful. Great ambiance, lovely decor, and great outdoor seating to have an after diner drink by the fire. Will be sure to go back again when in Hamptons. One of my favorite places.
My wife and I wanted a special dinner for our first night in Montauk, and so we chose Scarpetta Beach. The restaurant has a beautiful ambience, overlooking the ocean, and tasteful modern decor. Our waiter was accommodating, but the service was on the slow side as the restaurant was full. We didn’t get our cocktails until the main course was served. The food was average, but perhaps we are spoiled by NYC dining venues. Overall, we had a good experience, and would return. The best part, was after dinner when we retired to the fire pit area to enjoy some evening cocktails. So relaxing!
We have eaten at Scarpetta in Montauk a number of times. Each time hoping that I am wrong. My appetizer was a warm radicchio salad. I thought it was awful. My main dish a lamb dish was not cooked enough. I asked for medium and it came out medium rare. The server took it back and my husband finished his dinner before I got mine back. If he didn't eat his, it would have gotten cold. The best part was the desert. My cappuccino was even cold and small. I may be in the minority with this restaurant. We are summer residents and eat at most restaurants in Montauk. This will not be on my list anymore
Wonderful meal in great atmosphere, and very attentive service.
We were greeted warmly and offered a table either inside the restaurant or on the deck. We chose the deck - beautiful setting and the heaters made a chilly night comfortable. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Food was delicious - only thought is the portions are extremely small.
Really great experience - beautiful view, service was knowledgeable and friendly, and food was outstanding. One of the best meals I have enjoyed in the Hamptons over the last few years.
Horrendous service. Waiter had no clue.
