Food is good. Service is excellent. Drinks are pensive and paltry.
Always surpasses our expectations in every way...service they were attentive...food spectacular...ambience a very special place ...over all experience left a smile on our faces.
It was a cold night so outside beachfront enjoyment was limited. The place was jumping with several groups (business meetings) enjoying themselves. Particular compliments to the bartender who made a “lean n sip”michters rye Manhattan. It was one of the best I’ve ever had. 5 stars to him. Food was great as always
Having spent a couple of nights at Guerney's Inn & Spa in the dead of winter, it was convenient to have Scarpetta Beach on the premises. The gentleman I was with found the lighting to be so low that it made it difficult for him to read the menu. On our first evening I ordered the spaghetti which they are known for. It was so good that my partner ordered it on our second night there. His bronzino was cooked to perfection and my agnolotti was delicious and light as a feather. The food was excellent, but came at a fairly high price.
All in all, we had a very nice time there and would go back again.
Such a wonderful experience! Food was delicious and service was excellent.
A very pleasant dinner for 4 at Scarpetta. Service was friendly but not overbearing. Food was good. Atmosphere was active. Always a great venue.
As always, Scarpetta provided top notch food and service. Everything is always, smooth, pleasant and impressive. From their three-bread assortment and explanation, to the extensive menu knowledge of the server, Scarpetta is outstanding. However, last night two of the four of us, requested that they divide two different pasta main courses and serve them on four plates so that the two of us could share them. The waitress explained “they don’t do that“ and brought us 4 xtra plates for us to divide the dishes. The night before, in East Hampton, Dopo La Spaggia divided our two ordered pasta dishes with out being asked. Dopo is a fine restaurant. Scarpetta should be embarrassed. The meal however, was terrific.
It took a while for the waitress to get to us; very noisy when we first got there (8:00); lighting made it difficult to read the menu (not only for me with 20/20 eyesight, but others, too.); food, though was OUTSTANDING!
We went there for Christmas dinner and I loved it. The service is amazing. Food is great! Portions are not big. Wine was great as well! Will definitely come back’
Lovely setting and delicious food - service was outstanding- just a beautiful night!
Everything was so delicious!
Love this place but my halibut was fishy and the pickled vegetables didn’t go with the fish.
Loved the cauliflower appetizer!!!
Can’t say enough how perfect it was. It was our engagement dinner and we chose the perfect spot for it. Food was outstanding and service amazing. We would be back for sure. Thank you so much to all of you.
Beautiful relaxing atmosphere food was top notch service was excellent can’t say more
Everything was amazing! Our waiter was so attentive and the food was incredible.
Beautiful restaurant with excellent food and friendly, efficient service. Riley was very attentive and served us with a smile. Everyone’s food was presented beautifully and cooked to perfection. Portion sizes were just right; large enough to satisfy without feeling overstuffed.
Overall, a wonderful evening and an enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend it!
Another nice meal
We had an amazing dinner. Loved the place and food service was great too!
Nice restaurant but too expensive for what they provide. Food quality is good.
This was the best meal I had in a very long time. Everything from the bread to the desert was exceptional. Service was timely and very friendly. Will visit this restaurant every time I am in the Montauk.
We waited an inordinately long time for our food. No one in our party of 5 was impressed with the food. It was ok. Server seemed to avoid us, maybe because the kitchen was backed up.
Feel this place was overrated . It’s visually very pretty but lacks the polish to go with the prices.
Anniversary .....bathroom situation is subpar particularly when you have an event such as a wedding. Need to fix that
ok lets get some stuff out of the way. This place is within Gurneys! They should tell you that! There are NO signs on the road or within Gurneys. Looking for it in the dark on Old Montauk highway was ridiculous until we realized it was on Gurneys property. Why is there no mention or signage?
The restaurant is beautiful with windowed walls to the ocean, great anbiance aand when the lights dim very romantic. Unfortunately they have no separate area (despite having 2 large rooms) for families with small childre. the setting was great for a romantic evening with my GF. unfortunately despite the ambiance, the professional service an high prices there were small children, toddlers and babies all around us. it certainly took away from the experience.
as mentioned the service was high class and very professional and attentive. I found the menu to be limited and despite all the kids there was no kids menu! Drinks were well made. Portions were very adequate . The food was well prepared and presented.
after dinner check out the beautiful outdoor bar adjacent to the restaurant. Nice seating alcoves and groupings with lots of firepits and heaters. great place for after dinner drinks but also a very nice casual bar menu if you dont want the formality of the inside. there is also a very nice bar inside the restaurant where amny people choose to eat and drink.
so once you find it its worth the visit. i wish they would seat families with children in a separate room.
The menu was limited the drinks were good. We decided to leave due to minimal choices.
Great atmosphere-delicious food-excellent service
Overpriced. Service was poor. We had drinks from the bar and the waiter never once asked us if we wanted another once we were seated. Only when we were done eating did we see him. He seemed to pay attention to the other tables which were 4 or more. We were just a 2 top. The bartenders inside and outside were friendly and accommodating. Tried it once, that's enough.
It was my birthday and were looking for a new place to dine. We picked Scarpetta because our son and daughter in law were staying in Montauk. The restaurant is beautiful however the menu is limited and left something to be desired. Food is okay but prices are high not worth it.
Terrific italian seafood and pasta
Food was fine. Service was indifferent at best. Entree came before 1/3rd of way thru initial cocktail. Told the waiter we'd want glasses of wine....he never came back to take our order for that. Had to flag down another server to get water. Harvest on Fort Pond was 10x better.
We had envisioned going to the Scarpetta in Manhattan to compare...not going to happen now. Too many other better choices.
Doubt they'll care...the place was full. A reminder that not every dining experience is spectacular.
Pretentious. Mediocre food, spotty service-either overbearing or non-existent, cold ambiance, ridiculous pricing.
Beautiful spot- both decor and view. Food is excellent. Service was a bit off. A lot of people but not very attentive. Well- meaning, though. Definitely worth a trip if you are not in a hurry and can relax and enjoy the ambiance.
Great Montauk vibe both at the bar and inside at the restaurant .. nice wine list and delicious pasta and fish dishes...We ate there both nights we stayed at Gurneys... Two thumbs up!!
Honeymoon dinner. I had asked for minor accommodations, and they ensured everything was perfect. The food was excellent - well beyond my expectations in taste and plating. If you’re looking for a high quality meal with great ambiance, this is the place.
We had a delicious dinner at Scarpetta Beach. The ambience though really seals the deal - amazing ocean views from our outside table!
This restaurant is a must when you are in Montauk. The food, wine and staff are excellent.
the noise level was deafening with many guests complaining about the House Music. it ruined the dinner and manager did nothing . Couldn't wait to leave.
Food was good, very loud but it was Labor Day weekend. Service at the bar and the front was good, service
Meal was rushed
Dessert brought without silverware
Server never came back with it
Dessert need to be replaced
Outdoor heaters not working properly
A bit overpriced for small portions and food that is not very good. Had to send back one entree, two were not tasty and only the fourth was good. The view is gorgeous, but everything else is mediocre. Waste of a $90 meal, in my opinion.
It was a weekend getaway for me and my girlfriend. We decided to visit Scarpetta in Gurney’s Montauk. We’ve heard about this place and wanted to check it out. As much as we were excited we got so disappointed. Food was good no doubt about it but atmosphere it’s another story. A lot of young drunk kids which were so noisy that we just wanted to eat and get out of there. Definitely not a place if you would like to get rest!
