SCARLET - Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon
Dress Up or Dress Down. Steak or a burger. Glass of wine or a beer.
Whichever you choose, we're committed to delivering the highest level of food and drink quality in a fun, upbeat environment.
Ideally located in the beautiful downtown Saskatoon, SCARLET is the latest extension in the Carver's family of brands, following in the footsteps of the very successful Carver's Steakhouse and 6Twelve Lounge Concepts.
I had the Atlantic salmon with asparagus. Sometimes roasted asparagus is charred but this was perfect, as were the potatoes. It was all soaked in butter, so of course delicious. The evening menu was limited but good.
It’s always good food. Had the pizza and it was nice. Thin and crispy is hard to beat
Simply Fabulous! Great new menu, outstanding service and lovely ambiance. Best breakie spot in Saskatoon.
A cozy place in winter. Loved the atlantic salmon. Good service.
Nice ambience, excellent food and service, and very affordable.
Nice ambiance and tasty food. Our server was friendly and timely with checking up on how we were doing.
Normally this is a very good place to eat and the food has always been very good as well. The meal was very poor. I had the beed dip. The bun was VERY stale, the beef was cold as well as the fires. I should have sent it back.
I made a reservation for 6 people on New Year’s Day for noon. My friends arrived just before I did and were told that there was no reservation. When I arrived I went to the hostess and asked her about this and showed her the email I received confirming my reservation. She kept saying there was nothing she could do. As someone who has served, hosted and managed in restaurants I suggested that we get put to the top of the wait list since we had a reservation that I had proof of. She then said there are groups ahead of you on the list and I responded by saying that the reservation puts me ahead of the people on the list. We got a table about 20 minutes after our reservation. We never really got an apology or anything for the missed reservation (which I made almost a week prior) and our server couldn’t even tell us what was on tap or what the soup was. I understand New Years is a busy day and that mistakes happen but having them brushed aside is not acceptable.
We were seated in the 'family' end, and there were large groups of people and lots of children running around and yelling. Not really the ambience that four people are looking for when they get together occasionally. The food service was very slow, and we watched as even these large tables were served first. When we complained they did comp. a round of drinks, which was the right thing to do. We have had better experiences here, but will not rush back.
The turkey was very good, the prime rib not so much. Would not go back for a Christmas meal. Our server was very friendly and professional.
The only thing that would have made the dining experience more enjoyable at THIS time of year would be Christmas music.
I recently had lunch here with a couple of older ladies (like me). Everything about it was satisfactory but the noise level. The noise level from the tables around us made our lunch less pleasant than it otherwise might have been. I could understand that the wait staff couldn't "turn down the volume" of the other lunch guests but it was hard for me to believe they couldn't turn down the volume of the music playing on the restaurant's sound system. So, even after many of the other lunch guests had left, we were subjected to the "background' music that simply was not pleasant. I will avoid going to Scarlet in future because of the noise level.
Music was too loud. I should of asked for it to be turned down. I reserved online saying it was a birthday lunch would of been nice if this was mentioned by the staff. Kind of a let down .
The brunch is pretty good, nice place with river park view!
This was the second time I ate at Scarlet. Both times were friendly and delicious. Comfort food at comfortable prices!
I liked the old menu better. The new one is too casual.
The service was poor. Had a reservation but table was not ready and they were not busy.
Then sat for 20 minutes and had no service at the table at all. No water, coffee nothing.
Table was not properly set for the number of guests.
Food was good service was not.
We ordered a breakfast pull apart bun to start, my husband cut it open and there was a long black hair in it. Instead of giving us the option to just cancel the order they brought our another one...no black hair but no discussion about how that would have happened. The service was horrible slow...even a basic cup of coffee had us waiting over ten minutes. The restaurant wasn't even full but everything we got was slow and brought out haphazard with no one asking how things were. They kept saying I'm sorry were slow but it didn't make a difference they didn't get any faster.
We had a great server but raw chicken on our salads. That is not great. Everything else was lovely.
Our recent visit to Scarlet was perfect. We had a patio table and it was a beautiful evening. Our service was great and everyone enjoyed their meal. We could not have asked for more. We were entertaining relatives from out of town and they were very impressed. We have been here several times and we will be sure to return.
A lovely patio dining experience with top notch food and atmosphere. Price is on point with the quality of food you are provided and I highly recommend the tater tots.
Our service was incredibly slow considering there were not a lot of full tables that evening; we waited over an hour between ordering and finally receiving our food. We had a small child with us who was obviously hungry and the fact that his food couldn’t be brought out as it was ready was ridiculous (I finally had to ask the waitress to bring him something if our meal was still going to be a while). When the food finally did arrive, it was terrible. My son’s cheese pizza was so soggy I couldn’t cut a knife through it so I was unable to cut it into pieces for him so he couldn’t have it and only had fries for supper. Nothing makes a mom happier than taking her child out to a restaurant and receiving such poor food/service that she has to make him something else to eat when they get home. What a waste of time and money. This was supposed to be a special dinner with family who were all visiting from out of province and I chose Scarlet specifically for the location, the service and the food. Unfortunately the location was the only positive part of the experience; everything else was bad, worse or just downright terrible.
Great server. Very attentive and friendly
Everything was great but the music was too loud for conversation to be easily heard. We did ask for it to be turned down but we were seated near a speaker.
Server on Friday was great, awesome table outside with heaters
Wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond for us!
We were very happy with our meals, we all had entrees and then shared a dessert - the Beignets are very good here. The burger and steak entrees were both enjoyed. The two salad entrees were delicious but not very large. Both people thankfully chose to add the shrimp so that added something more. They were closer to an appetizer serving and not meant for someone who chooses to have a salad as their entrée .
We were seated in a booth and enjoyed the view. One of the best in Saskatoon.
Our server was friendly but it would have been nice to see her more often for drinks and refills on our waters and coffee.
Make great burgers and Santa Fe Salad! Love the patio.
Sadly our meal took a very long time (more than an hour) to arrive and we had to box it up after a few quick bites and take it out in order to get to our concert in time.
We arrived at 7:15pm Valentine's day. No water on table. Ordered drinks but never came till 7:40. When we got our drinks it wasn't what I asked for and this happend twice. When i ordered food and it came to my table the waitress came by about 10min after with dirty plates of food from another table. You should never ever bring dirty plates to a clean table. My date had to go up and tell them how do to there job since my date is in the food and hospitality for 10yrs. She was very mad at how thing were operating and ran. I also seen a couple being billed b4 the got there dessert. That is not right at all. For not being busy that night there were alot of issues that need to be dealt with. I've been to SCARLET many times and this was by far the worst experience I've had here.
The drink special tasted like onion. The watermelon must have been cut on a board previously cut with onion. Both my daughter and my drinks were affected. Food was amazing. Slow to get service and slow to get bill and pay. Lovely atmosphere.
We have eaten here before $ had awesome dinners both times !!! I must say our last experience wasn't the same!! The ribs used to be yummy & fall off the bone!! Not this time!! I ordered the Halibut dish!! No flavour & tough!! Very disappointing dish for the price!!!! We had to finally ask for finger bowls as we didn't get them with the ribs!! It was an anniversary for friends & my husbands birthday dinner!! Very disappointing for the price I paid!! I will go back because the ambiance is amazing!!! Just hope the food is Much better!!!🙂🙂🙂
The signature burger and the Canadian 150 thin crust pizza were fantastic.
Four of us enjoyed very comfortable outdoor seating. Large comfortable fabric sofas with extra cushions for back support. Heat lamps if necessary.
No wait for our reserved seating. Server was knowledgeable and friendly. Menu is a bit limited, but ok for lunch. Food was served in a timely manner and all four of us enjoyed our meals.
First time dining at this restaurant. It was Valentines Day. Made the reservation a week earlier yet we were seated on the less desirable side against the window. It was cold and my wife kept her coat on. We mentioned this and asked if we could be seated on the other side and away from the window. Our waitress checked and returned to say all the tables were reserved. I didn't understand as we reserved our spot a week earlier and made the request. We dressed up and everyone there were dressed like they just got off working in the field all day. That was disappointing but not the restaurants fault. It would have been nice given it was a special day to have white or black table cloths for the evening meal to add to the ambience. I must have asked for a water refill four times. I think they were short staffed. The salmon dish was excellent and our server was friendly enough just had to call her over regularly. I noticed even Carvers didn't have table cloths. I find that odd. Thank you.
I don't like the one that served us. Rude. But the restaurant is beautiful and great food.
for my 12:00 pm reservation we waited about 20 min. we had showed up 5 min before reservation and had to wait until 12:15pm, it was during lunch and were late going back to office.
the food ok.
A fabulous restaurant to celebrate a special moment or to just have a quiet meal. Timely, hot meals with great presentation and generous portions. Attentive service. Great pricing great view! A must visit.
Unexpectedly contemporary menu for a "hotel restaurant ". Excellent food and reasonable prices in a great location for a nice evening walk by the river after dinner
We were fortunate to eat at Scarlett during JazzFest while Maurice Drouin and Graham Dyck were performing. The only drawback was the rather odd time of 4 -6 pm.. an evening performance would have really lent itself to dining rather than getting a late afternoon snack while having a drink .. the menu looked good - we both had yummy pizzas.
