Great Roman classic dishes with accents of Tuscan fare.
Fantastic meal and environment. Perfect pre theater stop with wonderful ambiance!
I have eaten here many times and always enjoyed this restaurant. For the first time I was disappointed. My salad was tasteless. I had to add balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper from the table and my eggplant parmigiana came out barely warm. I guess every restaurant has an off night.
It was our anniversary dinner before going to see a show! The food is amazing! So good!
The service was very good, as was the food. They were also speedy which was good as we were trying to get to a concert. I would definitely recommend it & go again.
The food was great and the service was quick. It was a convenient location.
Really nice to go right before broadway! Service and food were really good! Will def go again
Really friendly staff and delicious food. I would definitely recommend.
This is my go to restaurant whenever I am in the city. This trip was a solo visit and it was absolutely fantastic. Excellent service, delicious food, and a real true New York environment.
Food was excellent. Service, a shame that there was ONLY ONE server who had to do everything and it was matinee crowd time. I'm sure someone called in sick. BUT ONE WAITER ?????
Delicious food & excellent service.
A lovely pre-theatre dinner experience. Definitely recommend.
If you're looking for a quiet dinner with great food at a reasonable price, then you'll want to go to Scarlatto.
Went for Pre-theatre dinner. We were not in a rush as we booked 3 hours before the theatre. Restaurant was empty when we arrived but was full by the time we left.
Great lock-in Restaurant Row in theatre district.
Service was friendly & attentive. The food was average which is disappointing for the price. Bread for the table was not edible. Surprising that an Italian Restaurant had terrible bread. We ordered Burrata appetizer & entrees. A few minutes after we ordered, the entrees arrived (BEFORE the appetizer). So we cancelled the appetizer. One entree was Ravioli di Granoturco alla Vodka Sauce )Sweet corn and mozzarella ravioli, green peas, asparagus and vodka sauce). It was enjoyable. Other entree was a Veal dish. Menu said it came on bed of spinach but it actually came on broccoli rabe. Flavor of the veal was flat.
We did not have dessert but did have coffee & cappuccino. Cappuccino was good but creamer for the coffee was curdled when it was poured into the coffee. Had to have coffee (& creamer) replaced. Complimentary limencello was appreciated.
Aside from being loud and noisy the food was great as well as the service.
The raviolis are wonderful and you won’t want to miss out on the delicious tartuffo for dessert! Fabulous!!
This was our second time at Scarlatto and, as before, it was pleasant. Luckily, we sat outside and were able to enjoy the nice weather and the lively street scene on Restaurant Row. The interior, as expected pre theatre, was packed. Tables are a little close and the noise level high. Service was very good - cheerful, efficient, attentive and unfussy. The appetizers were generous and excellent. One entre, a pasta dish with mushrooms, was very good. The other, Chicken Parmigiana, was industrial and a disappointment. We finished with a fine sorbet. Scarlatto gets the job done during this hectic time slot and I'm sure we'll return.
We booked Scarlatto for my Mother-in-law's surprise birthday dinner since it was in the middle with family coming from Long Island and NJ. We arrived on time to find that the Long Island group arrived very early, and the staff was completely accommodating about allowing them to wait for us at the table. Overall, the staff was gracious, warm and really made the evening. The food and drinks were great. We couldn't have been happier.
Great value, food was very good, service good! Very pleasant
Service was very good and the food was delicious. Portions were large enough for my husband and I to share.
Second time here prior to a show. We were rushed by the waitress and overall not a pleasant dining experience when the service is not adequate. All meals were delicious. Too many other dining options to consider.
Waiters stand around and rush you. Bread should be warmed up.
Pastas were good. Dip given with bread was good.
Felt the food and service was good for the price. Location perfect for seeing a show.
Food was delicious but service was a little slow, especially for a Wednesday matinee day
Eight of us ladies had a pre-matinee lunch and had a wonderful time. Since the restaurant did not open until noon, I was concerned we would be a bit rushed, but they made sure we were out on time. They set us up at a round table (my request), and it was by the window...which was an extra plus!
The new location was very nice. Food and service excellent. The manager was extremely helpful
Weak attempt at "Italian" very disappointing. At least the wine and dessert was good but entrees not at all
Have been to the new site several times, but preferred the atmosphere and décor at the 47th Street space. The new site is still decorated as was the previous occupant Bisteca Fiorentina. The restaurant does not offer a prix fixe dinner menu which many others on the 46th do and it the food is not consistently excellent. Also, service is a bit rushed and plates cleared while others at the table are still eating.
Pre-theater dinner on a Monday evening turned what can be a harried experience into casual dining with professional and unhurried service. Food was very good except cod could have been cooked a little more and filleted better.
Great service good food nice ambiance not noisy
I would recommend
Excellent Restaurant in Times Square area. Food was delicious and great service. Highly recommend
A longtime favorite for friends to get together for lunch Pre theater or shopping.
Excellent drinks, salads and meals.
We enjoy going on a regular basis!
Great service, great food. Try the sweet corn ravioli w peas it’s scrumptious
For the price, portions were very small, and we felt very rushed once our meal was over.
Overpriced with poor service...can’t see how this place stays in business.
It is our anniversary
Scarlatto was a wonderful surprise. We first sat at the cozy bar and watched Steven the bartender mix our party of 4, excellent cocktails. The service at our table was very attentive and friendly. The wine we chose was excellent and so were the dishes we ordered. The server was aware that we had show tickets that evening and the dinner flowed very smoothly. We were not rushed at all and felt very comfortable throughout dinner. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
Tables are a little too close together, but the food was very good and the staff was very nice.
