The waiter was snobbish and the food was not good at all. Bread was stale, Lasagna was horribly sweet. Our first visit but also our last.

I thought the food was excellent, but I found the seating quite crowded and the tables too small to accommodate all of the table service.

The food was ok but the service was terrible. We were seated at our table for nearly 20 minutes before our waitress came to get our drink order. Our table was also trapped between the wall and another table, so our waitress had to lean over the other guests’ table to deliver our food. This was not her fault, they’ve packed entirely too many tables into such a small space. We will not be back.

Enjoyed the meal, however the tables for two were very close together and the busboy kept squeezing in between our two tables rather than go on the other side. He did this maybe 8 or 9 times...very uncomfortable for our table as well as the other table of two women.

Scarlatto, before their move, used to be the go to place for good food and a well priced pre-fixe pre theater menu. They no longer offer the prix-fixe menu and now don't even take American eEpress. The food is ok but no longer worth the price!!

Our "go to" place in the City. Very consistent--have never had a dish we did not like. Solid regular menu and interesting specials.

We had a lovely dinner on a Friday night. This was my first visit to the new location- wonderful street front!
Tables are a bit tight, when the dining area is full it can be loud, but conversations are possible without raising one’s voice.
As usual, the service was outstanding and the food wonderful!

Great food and great service.. The address is wrong in the open table app. They recently moved a few blocks away. Hopefully someone is able to correct the address.

Food was good but not exceptional.
Even though it was not crowded, service was slow and impersonal. Hope it was just an off-night. We have dined at Scarlotto many times in the past and it was always an exceptional experience.

Scarlatto has moved to a new location a block or so from the old. It remains one of the few affordable choices for good pre-theater dining. The one new problem is that the lack of carpet plus smooth walls and ceiling make for an unusually noisy room--even with no background music or bar chatter, when the place fills up you have to shout to be heard over the din.

We used to dine at "Scarlatto" in their former location on W. 47th St. We always enjoyed their Italian food. They've moved to W. 46th St. in the former location of "Bistecca Fiorentino". The food is still good, but the noise level is very high. We couldn't carry on a conversation. I hope they find a way to dampen the sound.

Friendly staff, food is always good. Fast service. This is our go-to place when having a meal before a broadway show when it's near the theater.

I go to Scarlatto when I go to the theater. They have simple food that is served quite well by waiters. The new venue is attractive. I will continue to go to Scarlatto.

I went to Scarlatto for my birthday dinner. I had made my reservation about a month before arriving but they sadly did not have it in the system. I am unsure if they actively process Opentable reservations.

However, they were luckily able to seat us right away and the rest of the evening was very nice. The food was very good, and the price is very reasonable for the area in New York. The restaurant was pretty noisy, and there is very limited space between tables. Honestly, the two seat table I was seated at felt more like a four seat table with the table next to us. Thankfully we were seated next to a very nice couple so it was a good experience, but I can imagine being next to a loud table would be difficult.

This was my first time at Scarlatto's. My friend and I were seeing an evening show. I had the pasta with mushrooms in truffle oil . It was tasty and at reasonable price. My friend enjoyed her pasta with vegetables in a tomato sauce. The noise level was high. Hard to have a conversation. A lot of out of towners eating here. I found the decor of the restaurant to be quaint. The waiters did a good job of serving and accommodating your needs. I live in New York and would like to return when it's not so crowded.

The food was good. The new location is smaller and very noisy. I was most disappointed that they no longer offer the pre-theater menu. When I told the waiter that it is still on the web-site and asked that he tell the manager, no one seemed to care.

We were able to get a great table outside, on a beautiful sunny day. Food was amazing. Ordered the Bufalo Mozarella salad with tomatoes and avocado, and the Veal Saltimboca. Delicious. will be going back often. Service was excellent! Recommend highly

We enjoyed our meal and the new location is just as convenient as the old one was. The cishwas cooked to just the right temperature, the mussel sauce was just a tad too salty but good just the same.

We dined at Scarlatto before a show. Unlike the first time we dined there, this time there were only two of us, so sitting across from each other it was very difficult to talk since there were a lot of people and some large tables having dinner before shows. This time we had crab cakes and the chicken paillard and both were OK but not wonderful. That said, the staff is very friendly and efficient in taking your order and getting the food out, knowing you need to leave within a limited time frame. Probably having a leisurely meal there at a later hour would be a better experience. It is still Avery good pre-theater destination.

The hostess was very accomadating when we asked to be moved to the back where it was quieter.

The waiter was responsive to our time restraints and need to get to a show.

I will come back!

We had salads, chicken parm and penne carbonara, it was what we expected. Location is good for pre-theatre dinner but it is a very tight squeeze inside the restaurant for diners and staff. We did get mixed up finding their new location but holding the reservation wasn't a problem while we walked over.

Nice lunch before our show. Waiters and busboy were very nice. Served a basket of crunchy crust bread w butter. Oil on table. Varied menu. My DH had a hamburger which he liked. He thought FF weren’t crispy enough. I had chicken with salad and potatoes. Huge portions for me for lunch. I noticed most people had pasta dishes. I e been to this restaurant at a previous location.
Pleasant lunch and more than enough time to be at show on time
