Great Roman classic dishes with accents of Tuscan fare.
Great food and service. Very prompt service before theater . We will visit again soon
Food was out quickly. Almost too quick! Ok but not outstanding. It is on Restaurant Row so probably more for tourist. Convenient to the theater.
Miss the bar from previous location but dining area small but pleasant. Service was attentive. Only down side was an extremely noisy group of women in the very small dining area.
Lovely pre matinee meal in relaxed environment with delightful server. Would suggest some brunch items for Sunday lunches. Perfect Bloody Mary.
Delicious pasta dishes. Outstanding service. In and out in time for the theater. Love this spot!
The seven of us had a great meal the other day in this small but mighty restaurant! The service was wonderful - very efficient and knowledgeable about the menu but did not rush us at all even though it was a crowded Saturday night. You definitely need reservations but once seated you will not be disappointed. From the Salmon, to chicken parm to ravioli and drinks, we enjoyed it all.
Was perfect for dinner before the show. Staff is excellent and food was very good.
We have enjoyed Scarlotto's in the past at the old location which is why we came back. However, we were very disappointed with the food and the service. It was my sister's birthday so we wanted to have a special meal. We all ordered soup and specifically told the waiter that we all wanted our soups very hot. They came out luke warm and had to be sent back. 2 out of 3 of our entrees also came out cold and had to be sent back. By the time they came back, my husband was done with his meal so we could not eat together. The waiter was not the least bit apologetic. We ordered one piece of cake to share for my sister's birthday. We told the waiter it was her birthday hoping he would at least put a candle in her cake. No such thing happened. I thought that the waiter was smug and could care less about our experience there. What a waste of money and time!
First time here. Pre-theatre dinner. Prompt service. Ordered the Gnocchis and Lasagna. Both were very good.
Great restaurant for pre-post theatre dining. We were a group of 8 last night, and we had a great table located by the front, which helped block some of the loud acoustics. The waiting staff was fantastic and the homemade pasta dishes were fabulous. There was not one complaint about the food, in our party. The pear-ginger vodka special was loved by all of us who tried it. The pumpkin ravioli was so much better than expected! The salmon and skirt steak dinners were seasoned and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the apple tart/vanilla ice-cream, cheese cake and custard for desserts. The portions are very generous and the value for our money was spot on. Overall, a great place to dine and enjoy great food! The only thing that could be distracting from this wonderful dining experience is the high noise level. It does get loud when the restaurant is filled.
The service was great food was cooked tonperfection
Most impressed. Great food. Good service. Would definitely recommend it and if I ever cone back to NYC this is the place to go
Excellent food and service. Some of the best we have had in the city on this trip. Very close to Vivian Beaumont Theatre. Great place to eat before a show.
Lovely, charming restaurant with fantastic service. The food was flavorful and delicious. Great for a date, but also wonderful with children too. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommended.
We will definitely return...a find!
Service was excellent. The food good. And we had a nice quiet table and wee able to have a conversation.
Nice location in the heart of the theatre district, on "restaurant row".
My friend and I each ordered a "Maple Old Fashioned" cocktail from the menu. The drinks were tasty but seemed like they lacked any substantial alcohol.
The Chicken Parm I ordered was very disappointing. Not the typical dish you would expect in a NYC Italian restaurant (it was thick, breaded, and lacked good sauce/cheese). At least, not my style. The salad was disappointing that a friend ordered. The ravioli in a vodka sauce was very good, and the Risotto that a another friend ordered was excellent.
So, in summary....just not great, and with so many choices in the area, worth trying others.
Good food, well priced. Saturday dinner, with my wife, tasty and romantic!
Mediocre place, good for tourists that will stop there once in their life.
Consistently good food and excellent service.
My sister and I had a wonderful experience at Scarlatto. The food and service were fantastic. The only minor negative was that the restaurant moved to a new location and the old address was still listed in the Open Table App. Luckily we were able to get the new address from a doorman. It was worth the extra walking.
We had an excellent pre theatre meal at Scarlotto. The homemade fettuccini special was especially good. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. The servers were attentive and friendly.
This my second time at Sacrlatto's, and the first time at its new location on restaurant row on W 46th street. The restaurant is a little smaller, has a much, much smaller bar, but the food is still great! Had the giant meatball (Polpetta) appetizer and chicken parmagiana. My other guests had steak done to a turn, and pasta dishes. Good size glass of wine, great drinks, and friendly, efficient service. Not a single complaint from any of us.
Highly recommended for pre and post theater dining -- or anytime!
Solid food, great service, as usual for Scarlatto. It’s one of of standard pre-theater restaurants.
Service was a little slow and no one checked on us but overall good food, nice place, would return
I love this place. Since it moved, it is near but not right in the middle of the theatre hub bub. And their Gnocchi is the best I’ve ever had. It was our pre-show dinner and a time to catch up.
Excellent food & service. My wife and I had been here the night before and decided to return for another dinner.
Hostess thinks she’s very important.
Food was very good
Sat at the worst table in the restaurant- hostess choice.
Service was ridiculously quick.
Food was very good.
Food was fair I don’t think pasta was home made when ordering meal it came out in less then 5 minutes meatballs were hard not tasty
Loved our pre theatre dinner.... everything delicious
Was hoping for a prize fix option
This is just a fast food place.... I think they buy frozen chicken & re heat it.
Salad was fine dessert was also a mass produced product
They do turn a lot of tables over for the show
This was my second time eating at Scarlatto's. It is located on restaurant row and very convenient if you are going to the theater. You need to make reservations early as I was not able to get in last Saturday for any evening times. Lunch was easier. The food is very fresh and tasty with plenty of choices. I had a delicious striped bass when I was there previously. This time I was in the mood for eggplant parm and it did not disappoint. The capuchino semifreddo was worth the calories. I almost hesitate to rave about it for fear that I'll have an even harder time getting a reservation next time.
Food was excellent, service and ambiance were very nice. Tight quarters for dining, but a great place to get a good meal before a Broadway show.
Great dinner before play. service was attentive and accommodating. For was very good!
We have been coming to Scarlotto’s for years and love the new location. Great ambience wonderful service and food is always very very good.
Great value and service- convenient to theater - good food . Relatively quiet. Great pre theater spot.
Outstanding food and service. We would highly recommend this restaurant.
From the moment we arrived, the staff was courteous and helpful. The food was yummy and the wine list superb! We will be back!
Was definitely overprices for the quality and presentation of the food.
Excellent service and food. We were seated 10 minutes before our reservation time so we had a nice relaxing pre-theater dining experience and had time to order dessert.
