Hidden gem. Staff was very friendly & honest. Had a group of 7 and delivery of drinks, apps & main course was timely. ALso, ate late and were never rushed to leave.
My husband & I booked a reservation for our two year anniversary for 6:00 on a Tuesday night. We went a little early to sit at the bar and enjoy some cocktails. The hostess told us to take our time and that our table wasn’t going anywhere. The bartender was very friendly and we both ordered off their winter cocktail menu. Both drinks were strong and tasty. At 6 the bartender alerted the hostess that we were ready to be seated. We liked our table as it was away from everyone. Our waiter greeted us right away and was attentive all night. We ordered the burrata appetizer which was delicious and I order the lamb chops and my husband the scallops. For dessert we ordered the tartufo. My lamb chops were absolutely delicious along with the mashed potatoes and asparagus. My husband didn’t love his scallops. They were on the very small small side and not seared the best. All in all we had a great time at Scarborough Fair. The ambience is lovely and it feels like you are really dining somewhere special. The staff was friendly and attentive. We would definitely go back.
Delicious drinks and food in a beautiful, quirky setting. Loved every minute!
The restaurant was crowded which raised the noise level. We did NOT see one server wearing a mask, which would have made us feel more comfortable. We made the mistake of not asking the price of one of the specials we ordered. $55 for a short rib lollipop. Our fault, but a bit overpriced! Scallops were ok and luke warm when they arrived. The Valentine decorations were VERY overdone, especially the room we were in which reminded me of Las Vegas! I didn't need all the blinking lights!! We had been there before, but this time was a disappointment!
The restaurant decor was attractive, the service was good, but the menu needs additional entrees. The prices are higher than the competition, but quality of the food did not match the cost. Wine and cocktail menu choices were good, however the prices were over the top.
Have never had a bad experience at Scarborough Fair.
Am looking forward to our next visit. Exquisite
Great atmosphere, quality drinks and service. Appetizers are ok, entree quality was poor all around. Taste, quality and presentation not acceptable for the price. The scallop dinner tasted like chemicals.
Everything was fantastic. Only downside was seating close to door on one of the coldest days of the year. Couldn’t be helped. Service was fantastic!! Happy New Year
menu nothing special or different. basic. every meal comes with mash potatoes and carrots
Early dinner to celebrate the New Year! Food was amazing, ambiance very nice, had an alcove romantic table for two. It had been several years since we have been here.
At first, upon our arrival, the hostess was on a call, she was the only one working, she whispered our name (reservation) and then pointed to our table. There was No one else there to greet us properly, give us a menu or take a drink order until she completed the call —which she was booking a private party. There was another couple that walked in and went straight upstairs to the bar and then came down stating no one was there. The hostess continued on the call. Finally, the bar tender and dinner staff started showing up for their shift. A little disappointing from a customer service point of view. She could have taken their number and called them back. But, after that glitch, all was well, they definitely redeemed themselves!
Service and wine list/ selections were very impressive, food was amazing. Jumbo Shrimp cocktail appetizer was more like colossal shrimp/baby lobster tails — delicious! My husband had the Veal Osso Bucco —fall off the bone good! Overall, we had a great time! Would definitely go back.
If you thought COVID was the disappointment of 2021, you haven't been to Scarborough Fair. This place is decorated like it tastes, an epileptic garbage can. The waitress should've warned us. When we raised the alarm that our appetizers tasted like petrol, she had a resigned look on her face, knowing it was only a matter of time until we found out she was pedaling assisted living facility food at 20x the price. This place's best hope is to burn itself down for the insurance money. Even if you lost your taste due to COVID, I'd still recommend the WaWa across the street rather than this culinary train wreck.
Save your money. If you'd like an idea of the food of Scarborough Fair, just go commit a crime and check out prison food. I'd imagine it's a slightly better version of this.
We went there New Year’s Eve. Ambience was amazing and I loved the setup., particularly the little dining nooks along the two opposite sets of stairs and lead the main dining room. Even though we ate by the entrance, it wasn’t too breezy or loud. Service was good even though we were basically the last set of tables leading to exit. Lobster bisque was great. tiramisu was great. Main issue was the entree. Asked for medium rare for my NY strip and was barely pink. A little tough. The belie cheese dressing was a little heavy. My Hubby’s Ny strip, medium rare was more as it should have been. Coffee with my dessert was weak. Overall, ambience and service were great. Food not so much that night. I would certainly try it again, and that would determine if I would ever go back. I would give a second a second chance for an average meal but not a terrible one. It wasn’t terrible.
The venue, the staff, and of course the food is as good as it gets at The Shore, or anywhere for that matter. If you have not eaten here yet, what are you waiting for?
It was just an all round bad experience no I do not think I would ever come back. Sadly I say that because I have wanted to come to dinner here for years.
As always, Scarborough Fair was a delight. It's a pricey place but every penny is well worth it. You're bound to have an extraordinary experience.....perfect for that special celebration.
I’ve always loved this restaurant. Great ambiance, food, drinks, and service— as is always.
Great food, great service! Would have liked a more private table but we understood that their were 2 parties going on. Will definitely go back!
Felt the dinner at a recent evening was not up to par. Burata served with hard cheese, that seemed to have funny taste. Not as before when served as whole and with lots of creme in middle. Lamb chops good, but potatoes and asparagus accompanient were belove par. Sorry, but my third experience was not too good.
Service was excellent. Drinks are very good. Food was average. Happy to have vegan options available.
A wonderful lunch. Everything was perfect. The restaurant looks amazing for the holidays.
Christmas date night
The ambience is beautiful especially during Christmas. The shrimp and scallops dinners were delicious and the flourless chocolate cake was amazing. Service was excellent . If I had to say one thing that needs some improvement is that if you are offering holiday drinks they should either be in a holiday glass or have holiday decorations. The candy cane lane martini was delicious but was in a regular martini glass with no decorations at all , it was sad looking for $17 .
Thoroughly enjoyable dinner last night. Ambiance - phenomenal! Highly recommend to anyone seeking a venue for that special celebration.
Visiting Scarborough Fair around Christmas is like stepping into a Hallmark movie. The decorations are just stunning. We had a drink at the bar and the bartenders were knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The hostesses were quiet and calm - which makes the atmosphere welcoming. Service at our table was exceptional and so was the food. We had an outstanding time.
First time there. Ambiance is outstanding along with the service and food. I had the lamb chops.
I have dined at Scarborough for many years now. Love the atmosphere and service is always excellent. The food there is superb plus the presentation makes your mouth water. I’m sorry to say this time my group sitting by the bar was not a pleasant location. It was my wife’s birthday so I booked a couple weeks in advance and requested one of the alcoves that are located as you entered the restaurant. They apologized that the alcoves was taken so how far in advance do you have to book to get what you request. This will not stop me from returning just not happy it happened on my wife’s birthday.
Out waiter Nick was fantastic. Service was over the top. Food was excellent and the ambiance was lovely. One of my favorite place to dine.
First time eating at this very unique looking restaurant. Not only unique but the food was amazing. Thr drinks and dessert were equally amazing. Service was outstanding and made some awesome suggestions as to both food and drinks.
Excellent ambiance + service, the meals were average in quality however, the kitchen was super busy. We will continue dining here.
Our waiter was amazing very attentive & friendly. Continuously kept coming to our table throughout the evening to see if we needed anything.
Was disappointed in the strip steak though was very chewy & wasn’t very flavorful
There were 4 of us and we each loved our meals. Everything was delicious from the appys through desert. Service was very good as well. Scarborough is one of my favorite places to go during the holidays, so beautifully decorated.
First time and was magical when we walked it. Beautiful entrance and entire place is gorgeous and especially romantic. The calamari was gluten free and the best that I have had. Also hearts of palm was delicious. My wife had the mahi-mahi with shrimp. A great surprise was desert flourless chocolate cakes. Nick our server was awesome.
There were a couple of things, when they brought my salad no one offered me pepper there was none on the table. The other was when my pasta came they didnt ask if I wanted cheese when I ask for it no problem. Other than those 2 small problems, the meal was great.
Underwhelming on almost every level
It was greet!
Holiday decor is wonderful, staff working hard to make everyone enjoyable. Food and drink spectacular!
Bread was old lunch took over an hour to come
Decorated beautifully for the holiday season. Service was excellent and the salmon dish delish. The Cosmo cocktail was perfect and exactly as ordered. I was so pleased I made another reservation for 6 next weekend for the holiday!
soup was cold , crab cakes good but just warm like the soup. Seafood medley terrible, no flavor at all. One hunded plus dollars better spent else where
Food was delicious and the service was very good we definitely come again and let people know
