We loved our waiter. The food was Great. The interior of the place was spectacular, I was in love.
In an era where restaurants come and go, Scarborough Fair has been around for 34 years. Beyond being the most interesting architectural space for a restaurant, the chef strives to have creative cuisine. Unfortunately, today the restaurant came up short. The onion soup though made with 4 types of onions was unusually bland. The duck confit spring roll was greasy. Couldn’t find the bacon in the shrimp with bacon. The lamb sirloin was butchered by a novice. Hopefully it was just an off night for the kitchen.
My husband and I took 2 of our daughters and son in law to lunch, during restaurant week.
It was their first time at Scarborough Fair. They really enjoyed the meal and look forward to going there for dinner.
Our server was lovely. Also they did not rush us along, a very relaxing meal.
We had not been here in a number of years as we do not live in this area. It was as we remembered, excellent meal in a beautiful atmosphere, with wonderful service.
Service was good, food creative and tasty, drink specials inventive, great atmosphere.
Interior and exterior needs to be updated. The food was good but not great. Service was good and waitress was attentive. We wanted to try this place for a while and will not be coming back.
Excellent. The food was delicious, the staff was very attentive. We were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. Will definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back. A great place to celebrate a special occasion.
Always a great dinner/ambiance...but this time Dinner was even more delectable! Plus our server Molly was Top Notch! Great experience!!
It is lways a pleasure going to Scarborough Fair. A bit out of the way for us, but we try to make our way there when we can. Big 25 year anniversary for us and as always it was a great choice. Cocktails, dinner and the desert were all top notch. Not many restaurants have the ambiance of Scarborough Fair. Reminds us of dinning in a magnificent tree house.
Very cool tree house like ambiance when you walk in. They have very private quiet cubbies to sit in to have a romantic dining experience. The whole place is warm and cozy. Parking is very limited so expect to park in the adjacent bank parking lot. Food was outstanding, we had the rack of lamb and Filet Mignon, both cooked perfectly to our desired temperature. One nitpick, the ceasar salad was tasty but it was chopped up into very small pieces, I prefer much bigger pieces. We ended with a really creamy crunchy creme brulee, very delish!
We were celebrating two birthdays. Our table was ready, even though we were a bit early. Our waiter was wonderful, making sure we had everything we needed. This is not our first visit here. We love the food and atmosphere.
The food was fantastic the service was great and the atmosphere was unique and comfortable
As usual, nice selection of food,Good, attentive service. Wine was very good , apps ,also. Risotta not that good. Scallops and sauce very good, it was the rice itself not up to par. Crème brulee something special
Great food and great service. Molly is an excellent server.
Lovely restaurant, beautifully appointed, clean, great service, very good food, French flair adds to the ambiance...needs work on the entrance area which belies the cleanliness and excellence within...needs some work on that front door which is, of course, the first impression.
The restaurant was decorated to the nines for Valentines Day, the weekend after, which made it a nice surprise. Pocketed sections make for a quiet experience. The server, Mike, was outstanding. The food was quite delicious, from appetizer to dessert! Thus restaurant is worth the price point!
Romantic and fun, excellent food and service. Great secluded tables.
I took my wife there for Valentine's day dinner. It was Fantastic! This is my wife's fav restaurant.
First time here! The scenery is amazing!!! Food was great!!! Loved it!
One of the most romantic best places I’ve ever been to, service was excellent ,food was excellent .
haven't been there in years it was great surprise. even better than i remembered. highly recommend it
Love Scarborough Fair! Great ambiance, food, service!
Lovely ambiance for Valentine's Day. Specials were good. A nice menu.
The service is excellent. Well informed staff. The restaurant is keeping up with the times, updating its menu creatively. I recommend it to people who have never been there. The décor is seasonal and delightful.
Took very long to get the bottle of wine we ordered. The appetizer (Crab Meat) was awful. It was tiny round pieces (certainly no lump crab) it seemed like imitation or fake, fishy and mushy....
Dinner was very good! Lobster special and filet mignon. Service was great, place is beautiful. Would give it another try.
Love Scarborough Fair! Went for my wife's birthday. (She was born on Valentine's Day). The restaurant is decorated beautifully for the holiday! Our table was even decorated for her birthday! The service is exceptional, never rushed, and the food is delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant!
We love this restaurant for the ambience. The service is impeccable and the dinners are reasonably priced. I do wish they would bring back the autumn salad with the butternut squash, however. The salad we had while dining this time was very disappointing. It was not much more than a bunch of greens for $9. My husband loves the steak and orders it cajun style. There was only one occasion where the chef made it truly cajun style. I do not blame the restaurant since it is not offered on the menu. The restaurant also allows you to substitute one side with another. This is important to me. My family and I will continue coming back to this restaurant especially when celebrating a special occasion. They really went all out with their Valentine's Day decorations.
We came here last year while visiting a friend in New Jersey. I loved it so much I had to come back this year.
We dined here in the early part of February so the restaurant was decked out for Valentines Day. It was so beautifully decorated. For those looking for a special place for Valentines Day you will not beat this romantic place!! The ambiance and food is amazing!
Best lamb chops I've ever had.
There is a little cottage on the property that is a candy store. Both times that I have dinned here it has been closed. I think it is only open on the weekends. Looks amazing too
Scarborough Fair has become our area restaurant of choice, and we have tried them all. It's quiet with occasional live music, comfortable, and romantic. The staff is attentive, and professional. My last meal was wild boar. It was a dinner to die for. Thank you, Chef.
Between the friendly service, incredible food, and out of this world atmosphere, this was by far, a truly romantic experience. The work and effort put in with all the Valentine decorations helped transport you to another world. Bravo!
very average for an expensive meal
First time here and it did not disappoint. It was our anniversary and the hostess and waiter went out of their way to make us feel special. Beautiful atmosphere, cozy and romantic. Definitely will be back!
My wife and I went to Scarborough Fair on our 40th anniversary. She had never heard of the place, and I took her there as a surprise. She was blown away. It was all decked out for Valentine's day already. The food and service were superb. Very romantic.
Mat made anniversary diner special. he was excellent and the food was excellent . We will be returning
Fantastic restaurant and experience from start to finish. The ambiance is second to none. Great dining experience with delicious food.
We've been here a number of times, from "justus" to "us, and the kids, and the grandkids".
It's always a special experience and we have never been disappointed. Not the least expensive place you can find, but worth every penny. The value is definitely there.
Not much choices for vegetarian people, otherwise a wonderful place for special occasions and romantic date!!!
Absolutely fabulous. The ambiance was and always is amazing. Highly recommended
Tonight was their (annual?) chateaubriand special, which we ordered. The meat was tender and flavorful and perfectly done; the potatoes were delicious and the bearnaise butter was fine. The vegetables seemed a bit odd, but there was so much food, it didn't matter - we ended up taking some of the meat home . The salads that came as part of the meal were good, deeper green than we happen to like (boring iceberg fans that we are) but beautifully dressed, with vinaigrette and walnuts. We also split a very substantial shrimp cocktail-- only three shrimp, but fresh and crisp, and more than enough for two; bonus points for allowing us to split as an app. Selection of wines by the glass adequate but unremarkable. Our server was charming and efficient. One of the Valentine's Day decorations in the alcove next to us came crashing down (harmlessly) and was righted promptly when we pointed it out, cheerfully and gracefully-- well done! A good dining experience all around.
Fine dining at its best, food is always top shelf. Great for a romantic dinner, special occasion and holidays.
