About Scaramouche Restaurant
Scaramouche has long been celebrated by customers and critics for its unwavering commitment to making each dining experience a memorable one. Chef/owner Keith Froggett's sophisticated cuisine is presented simply with care and attention to detail. The service underscores that philosophy: unobtrusive and respectful. The restaurant affords a stunning nighttime vista of the downtown Toronto skyline. These components and more make Scaramouche the singular destination it is. And the reason that the restaurant is consistently ranked as one of the city's best for more than three decades.

Scaramouche Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The service was superb.
We had the Caviar and the hash that accompanied it overpowered the flavour of the sturgeon caviar.
The beet salad was delicious. As was the milk fed veal.
I had the duck confit ravioli and there were certain spots on the dish that were overly salty.
The banana oat dessert was delicious.
Overall a great experience!
Celebrated a birthday here and could not have been happier with the excellent food, superb service and fabulous wine list. Great ambience. Subtle and non intrusive service which is rare to find. I had requested a happy birthday greeting and this was executed perfectly. The meal was an experience which we enjoyed immensely.
Just outstanding from the moment we walked in the restaurant. Host cared about what I said. Our server was perfect. She was professional, polite, business like, didn't hover the table but always watched to know exact timing. She looked stunned for a moment when I mentioned I had one complaint-the food was so incredible we couldn't talk while savoring every mouthful. Then she relaxed. I have sung your praises all over Facebook.
First time in Canada on a business trip. Wanted to get a taste of local food. This place was voted the best of 2016 in Toronto so had to try. Had the house special sturgeon it was AMAZING. Also had the soup of the day which was creamed cauliflower also AMAZING. My server Alex was attentive and asked about my day and trip to the city. Great views outside the windows of the city skyline. Alcohol selection was great just was not drinking at the time. Would recommend to all and return. It is pricey but you get what you pay for and I believed it was well worth it.
In the thirty years over which we have dined at Scaramouche the quality has remained absolutely consistent while the menu has adapted to fine food trends. The principles of classic epicurean cooking have been retained while innovative dishes have been included. The meal service is exceptional and of course the panorama of the city visible through the full length windows caps the experience
The ambience was romantic and beautiful. The server was personable and attentive. Unfortunately, the seared fois gras was cold, even after I sent it back on the second delivery and the soup was delicious but cold and the meals had obviously sat out a while. An inattentive table delivery can ruin a skilled kitchen. Our server was social, pleasant and knowledgeable, so whoever was in charge of table delivery of our food ruined the night.
Scaramouche is an outstanding restaurant with great dishes, attentive service and a wonderful ambience. It is not inexpensive as you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber but worth a visit. Leave room for their famous coconut cream pie with white chocolate. The view across to downtown Toronto at night is spectacular. Book early and get a window seat if possible.
Scaramuche is fine dinning at its best!
The ambient is sober and quiet, but relaxed; perfect for a couple’s night out or for a business lunch.
Food was simply extraordinary. I cannot affirm it was the best lamb I’ve ever try, but I would go for top three ever.
But the high note was, as it should be in fine dinning, service. Marcus, our server, was at the same time very professional, meticously caring of details, agreable and expert on both wine and menu.
Definitely one of Toronto’s best restaurants and if ever visiting town again, we will return
The staff from the moment we entered the restaurant to the time we left were so attentive to our dining pleasure and experience. They were there to answer questions and provide suggestions which worked out very well for all of us. Such great people skills. This has been our favourite restaurant for the last thirty years and while we have not frequented your establishment on a regular basis it has been a truly memorable experience everytime. Your chef / chefs were absolutely amazing. Thank you!!!!!
We went there for my spouse's birthday dinner. Food quality was excellent and service was very good. We were informed about the night's special by our wonderful host. They were all very attentive and very prompt. The filet mignon was perfectly medium, the halibut was done nicely as well. For dessert we had Roasted Ontario Peaches. Everything was sublime.
I finally had a chance to try Scaramouche and it was really great. Service was excellent, atmosphere was business professional and it was great for a birthday occasion. Parking is valet only. You don't pay for this, but of course we did leave a tip when we received the car at the end of the night. We shared the shrimp and lobster appetizer which was fresh, creative, and flavorful! We followed with sharing the octopus, which tasted good, but not as tender as I've made myself at home. It did have very good flavour, but I would try something different next time. I had the filet for my main dish, the flavor was outstanding, the portion of filet I thought could be a bit more, they cut the steak and give you three slices, mine were quite thin, but it was filling enough, especially after the coconut cream pie! My partner had the lamb, it was not very hot and the flavours on the dish including chick peas, carrots, and onions, didn't stand out like the filet. But overall it was a great dining experience. If you like cocktails, try the scarmacouch special, it comes with champagne, pineapple juice and other flavors, very delicious and strong! We shared a half bottle of amarone wine and the bill came to $265 plus tip. I would recommend trying this for a special occasion. I will certainly try the pasta bar and grille side of the restaurant next time.
