Scaramouche has long been celebrated by customers and critics for its unwavering commitment to making each dining experience a memorable one. Chef/owner Keith Froggett's sophisticated cuisine is presented simply with care and attention to detail. The service underscores that philosophy: unobtrusive and respectful. The restaurant affords a stunning nighttime vista of the downtown Toronto skyline. These components and more make Scaramouche the singular destination it is. And the reason that the restaurant is consistently ranked as one of the city's best for more than three decades.

We were on vacation in Toronto. We heard that the restaurant had an extremely good Reputation and wanted to try it. A little bit on the pricey side but well worth the dining experience!

i have been to many french restos in toronto and this one is outstanding. perfect foie gras. the service was amazing as they got us out of there in time for our film screening and we were late! very cool view of the city and pristine table. loved the modern look of the restaurant.

Rack of lamb was good- not great
Mushroom soup very tasty but ? $17:00-

Very good service
Ate in the Dining room because I thought it would be quieter than the Pasta Bar-and worth the more expensive menu- but it wasn’t (quieter).

The service was excellent - up to its usual standard. The food was great, especially the scallops, where everything on the plate worked together superbly. The duck was very good but, although I love mushrooms, I didn't feel that they worked well with the dish. The mushroom soup was amazing, and the striped bass was excellent. One notable point: the food seems never to be served piping hot anytime we have been there. The wonderful flavours make up for this in a sense (we keep going back), but this is why I didn't score it higher. Having said that, it is one of the top 10 places in Canada in which we have eaten and we will continue to go back.

Service was very friendly and for the most part good.
As far as food is concern, the appetizers were very nice but the mains (we both had fish) were
average !!!
To be honest I expected much more .
BTW It was my wife birthday !!!!

If you've had experienced Michelin Star abroad or even just a better road side dinner's in Paris for the price of at most 40EUR per person, the 100-130 CAD dinner here is going to disappoint... the service and ambience is pretty good, but the food is just no good for this price. though I must say it might be better then the Keg, and was the best overall dinning experience I had in Toronto. but if you want really good food, Toronto isn't the right place.

I went here for my 21st birthday, the price tag was definitely steep but it was worth every penny. We had a table with the incredible view of Toronto's downtown. The server personalized the dessert when notified it was for a birthday. The food was incredible. The best I've ever eaten. The wine was excellent too. We had gone before so we were prepared for the cost and we knew the dining code. For special occasions this is the place to be.

We never really got to the wine list, because the house wines were so very satisfactory. So I would say, Good Wine, but without ever seeing the wine list to see what expensive delights we were foregoing. Service is superlative, among the best we have ever had. The food is excellent; my pork was very good, and the other diners were very pleased with their fishy repasts. It *is* pricey, but worth it when you consider ambience, service and food and drink as an ensemble.

First time at Scaramouche for my husband and I and we travel one hour from east GTA to enjoy some fine dining. The staff were so friendly and helpful especially while selecting food and drinks. The appetizers and main meal were well prepared and the flavors were amazing, compliments to the chef and cooking staff.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable evening and would definitely recommend Scaramouche to friends and family. Can't wait to return for another amazing meal and evening in the very near future.

It is definitely the best of the best! From the professional servers, who are very knowledgeable about the dishes, and very attentive; to the cozy scenic setting and crafting of the dishes. Everything is a five-star and beyond. I will definitely return to this outstanding fine-dining place.

Every time we dine at Scaramouche, I remember why I think it's still the best place for fine dining in Toronto. It is on the pricy side, but, all in all, I feel like it's worth it. I've never been able to make a last minute reservation. It's the hardest place in town for this. When you get to dine there, you'll find out why.

The meal we had was excellent. Noteworthy bites were the grilled octopus (perhaps the best grilled octopus we have ever had) and the venison. The wine list was through and Europe-centric, while still offering plenty of New World choices. Delicious housemate cocktails and very good deserts.

There celebrating a birthday. Flawless service. Great advice on food and wine combinations by the sommelier. Unfortunately the seafood entree was overcooked and tough. The other two entrees were very good. Overall, inconsistent food preparation on the entrees. The other courses were very good. Don't think we would return - getting a little too retro.
