About Scalini Fedeli
Scalini Fedeli ranked among New York's finest restaurants since its opening in early 2004, taking Italian cuisine to new heights. Rewarded with the highest overall ratings in the Zagat Survey, Scalini Fedeli has been granted one star by the Michelin guide in it's inaugural 2006 issue. The inviting decor features vaulted ceilings and European antiques and provides the perfect setting for chef Michael Cetrulo's delightful cuisine which offers the finest ingredients coupled with a confidence and grace that ensures your meal will be a memorable one. Menu highlights include soft egg yolk raviolo with ricotta and truffle butter and New York's finest venison chop in a port wine and balsamic vinegar sauce with toasted hazelnuts, sautéed spinach and roasted Mission figs. Scalini Fedeli Ratings and Reviews
This restaurant gets everything right from the moment you walk in the door. The maitre d is really good, pleasant and inviting. No BS about being seated, is your party all there. Great cheerful service, drinks come fast, good wine, great food. Interior is warm, real candles, comfy chairs. My new favorite restaurant.

The Risotto was outstanding also try the pasta with Bone marrow and short ribs apps
also recommend the Pork Chop best I ever Had.... all the deserts are to Die for ...
Had read wonderful reviews, so went here for my birthday. The bar area is exceedingly small and uncomfortable, but luckily our table was ready less then 10 minutes past our reservation (8:30), so we didn't have to wait long. The main dining room is lively, and a little loud, but it won't impact your ability to converse comfortably with your table mates. The service is friendly and authentic, with a few wonderful surprises thrown in. Food is terrific, and the pasta is fresh and tasty. Overall, a fine place that I would recommend for its great food and NY ambience.
Overall the Italian food and service were quite good. But one guest out of 4 was disappointed with his steak which the waiter exchanged for the halibut entrée which pleased him. Also the waiter was very generous with after dinner drinks on the house. For me the butternut agnolotti pasta dish with sage butter and the sliced veal chop were excellent. My wife enjoyed her composite salad of 3 varieties and her halibut entrée. Also high marks for the desserts especially the mascarpone and ricotta cheesecake. Our bottle of Montepulciano wine from Abruzze for $70 lacked body and was sl acidic.
The service was attentive, staff was knowledgeable , ambiance was nice enough. The food was lacking. The amuse bouche was a mushroom ravioli with truffle cream sauce (foamed?) it needed salt or a nice shaving of pecorino Romano. An amuse bouche is supposed to enhance or open your taste buds to the forthcoming food, but alas fell flat. As each course progressed most members of the party shared that the food was underwhelming - mostly in the seasoning and even the temperature of the food/plates was off as if the food was sitting on a under heated pass before being served. The star of the meal was dessert with some inventive creations and incorporations of gelato (nicely done l) with some of the desserts. All in all there are lots of good places to eat so you can skip this one.
Outstanding meal and service at this charming restaurant.
We loved our dinner experience here.
The price fixe meal is one if the best dinners I've had in NYC.
The ravioli starter gas divine followed the the Artic Char that was delicate and flavorful.
If your looking a quiet evening out with great food...this is the place.
I'll be coming back!
I went on the computer to find a romantic Italian restaurant for a romantic evening out. My wife is of Italian decent. My computer research led me to Scalini Fedeli. We showed up and had the most perfect experience. The service, the food, the ambience , the detail to the little things, everything was fantastic, as I wanted it to be for this evening. We will gon back
A superb experience from the minute we walked in! The staff were very attentive but not so they were intrusive. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and advised us well, the wine was pricey but excellent. It was a very nice touch to bring us complimentary tasters in between courses, all were delicious. I had scallops for main which were Devine and my husbands duck was even better! The deserts were amazing too, chocolate cake and cherries, can it get any better? It was a really lovely touch that the chef wrote Happy Anniversary on our plates and even gave us a complimentary glass of desert wine. Perfect evening!
