Wonderful cozy setting ideal for romantic dinner, the food ws fabulous and portions were plentiful, service was impeccable!

We have ate here a few times, this time our steaks were done perfect. Our server was a gem with our 6-year old, it was overall a great extended family meal.

We had an excellent time at the Sawmill

Unfortunately Sawmill doesnt use open table to book their reservations any longer!!!
So when we went there, there wasn't any record of our reservation!
Someone should connect with Sawmill and you guys and let each other know!!

It was great we were a Martial Arts group celebrating a birthday for a Master and servers were great in following our rules of etiquette. Thank you very much

The meal was wonderful, even though we waited a very long time for it to arrive. 35 minutes.... the manager did come by our table to apologize which was appreciated . He followed that up by giving us a free desert. The waitress was not very pleasant, it appeared as she had something other than work on her mind. She didn't ask how our meal was and when asked about certain things on the menu, she was uninterested in talking about it and quick to say "I don't know" when asked about menu items. One would expect that if she didn't know the answer she would seek out another server or manager to answer the question. The manager was the one who had taken an interest in reassuring us that he was sorry about our delay in getting our meal and offered us a desert at no cost. Manager gets top marks, waitress not so much

Service outstanding, food okay. Several family members after leaving restaurant felt there was no flavour to their dinners.

The food was good but not hot, just warm. It seems that it was left too long after being prepared. The bacon wrapped scallops were very small and over cooked, to where the bacon was almost hard and dry. The potato was barely warm enough to melt butter and quite large relative to the rest of the dinner. The steak was perfectly cooked, but again warm. The soup was very hot and tasty. The waitress paid attention to my companion but very little to me.

My family and I stood in the front lobby with several other customers with reservations for about 10-15 minutes before the hostess came and greeted us. A couple in front of us asked the hostess if their table was ready yet, when a large waitress came flying into the lobby from the restaurant, she was in such a hurry that she didn't notice my 2 year old daughter and suddenly turned and hip-checked my child. My daughter flew to the ground and luckily put her hands to catch her head from hitting the floor. The waitress just sort of shrugged it off while saying sorry, while I picked up my crying daughter from the ground and consoled her. Then hostess told us our table was ready about a minute later, I believe this was the restaurant's way of saying sorry, by not making us wait even though we already had been waiting for some time. The waitress that served us was not quick, it took some time to get our drink order and bring drinks. By 7:45 (an hour and a half after our reservation) myself and kids decided to go back to the hotel while my husband settled up the bill with the waitress. When my husband came back to the hotel, which was 20 minutes after us, he was in complete disbelief. He told me that the waitress had walked by him at a big empty table several times after he had asked for the bill. She then brought him bread and he asked her if she saw anything wrong with him sitting at a empty table without his family that had left quite some time ago. She just said sorry and brought him the bill.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Hostess and service was very good. However, I was not impressed by the food. My 6oz. (medium) top sirloin was tender enough, but it was definitely well-done. If you did not care for root vegetables, you were out of luck, as the vegs. all were grilled carrots, and sliced beets. The best part of the meal was the baked potato. I did not mention anything to the server at the time, as I did not want to ruin the evening for the rest of our party. My husband did mention to me that the jus for his prime rib tasted awful, and he was glad that he had not poured it on his plate, and instead had intended it for dipping.
