Everything about the restaurant was fantastic, especially the food. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were disgusting. The floor and toilets, especially the base of the toilets were were horrendous.

I had made reservations one week prior to the Mother's Day weekend. Even though we arrived a bit early, our table was ready for us and we were ushered right in. The service was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and accomodating, and the food was fabulous. Would highly recommend for an overall wonderful experience.

Wife and I made reservations for Mothers day. After seeing a special for couples at a certain price per plate. The meal was fine, the atmosphere was fine, the service was fine, what wasn't fine was the bill showing up at $50 dollars more than expected. The server then explained that the ad we saw was incorrect and by the time they noticed it was too late to make adjustments. I think that $185 before tip is difficult to accept when I was expecting $130. If they had informed us of the error at the beginning I would have been fine with it, however finding out about it after we had eaten our dinner smacks of a bait and switch scheme to me. I have lost all respect for the sawmill restaurant and we will likely not return anytime soon. There is a Mr Mike's steakhouse directly across the street from the Sawmill we were at for this occasion and that will be where we go going forward.

If I go to a restaurant with high prices, I expect exceptional service and I did not get that. Service wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t good, let alone great. Another thing I noticed is the prices are similar to the Keg, but no free bread. Food was good, but not worth the money it cost for a steak there.

Went for a lovely Easter brunch. The atmosphere was very good the server was very friendly and the rest of the staff very good but, for example, the plates came after we had eaten the pastries, the dessert plates came after the dessert was eaten therefore the lower score Also the main entre was flavorful but so salty it was very hard to enjoy Didn't expect that from that level of restaurant Will I try them again to see if it would be different maybe but not likely

Steak was cooked to perfection but really tough. The sides were basically inedible. Bailys creme brule was ok, but the s'more thing was disgusting. Really disappointed that the server hovered while I went over the bill. I really, really hate that the payment machines calculate tip that includes the gst. Why am I tipping on tax?

Our dinner at the Sawmill was very good. Much improved since the last time we had been in. The food was tasty and fresh. The steaks were cooked pretty close to what was ordered & the wait staff was very friendly. The only downfall was the stuffed potatoes were a bit dry and they used some kind of whipped topping on the desserts instead of whipped cream, it was totally gross and ruined the flavour of the entire dish, the desserts were disappointing as they were sickeningly sweet anyways. Recommend to go elsewhere for dessert after dinner.

It was a great date night, until the bill came. $30 lobster tail add on was a bit excessive. I wouldn't have an issue with the price if it was actually Canadian lobster tails like they said. Instead it was rock lobster at "Market price" which isn't worth $30 a tail. The prime rib was well prepared and quite delicious and our server, Meagan, was very welcoming.

We went in for supper with some good friends from Calgary visiting for the weekend. This was perfect. The bacon wrapped scallops to start and then 4 different dinner plates. Everyone was very happy with their meals and the service was really good. We finished with " The Chocolate Dome". FANTASTIC. Yes I shouted that.

The food was great but a loud table by us made it difficult to enjoy our night out. We felt rushed out once we were finished eating. Sawmill use to be a nice place to go for a relaxing evening out but this night it was not.

Been awhile since going to the Sawmill. Glad to see it is still one of the better restaurants in the area to enjoy. Food was good, service friendly and quick and the best thing was that there was a quiet calm about the place. We could actually carry on a conversation without having to raise our voices. Too many places today are far to noisy for my liking. Thank you Sawmill for making our evening enjoyable.

Overall ok. Not worth the price. I ordered a medium rare steak. It came out medium well. By the time the server can to quality check I had eaten half the steak. The manager discounted our bill 15% which was nice. However it still cost over $100 for 2 of us to eat an overall mediocre meal. My veggies were inconsistently seasoned and my partners mashed potatoes tasted of plastic. The server was friendly, she may have had too big of a section as service was a little slow to get drink orders and quality checks. The restaurant itself is a little run down. The table we sat at was not very clean, the center piece candle holder was caked in old salt and stained with a mysterious yellow liquid. It looked as though the wipe around the candle and salt and pepper shakers never moving them. Overall the candle holder and table cleanliness was a huge turn off. We likely will not be returning to this restaurant. The manager and server were nice and pleasant.

We continue to be less than thrilled with the Sawmill’s prime rib. We asked for medium rare - their claimed standard - and one turned up overdone. My wife was willing to eat it but we shouldn’t have to make such a choice. If they can’t provide the medium rare they promise it may be time to turn toThe Keg.
