Great happy hour specials on really great food and drink! The service was excellent and I would definitely recommend! Fun place to meet with friends, a little loud but doable.
Server had a difficult time communicating with the guests. Server was friendly but blunt which was interpreted by some members of the table as rude. Food took a little long to come out and once it did, one meal was missed and one meal was dropped on the floor. The food was excellent and the manager did come by to apologize which was appreciated. My colleague picked up the cheque so I don't know if there were adjustments made.

There is nothing I can say about Sawmill Capilano other than it's my favorite restaurant in Edmonton. Never disappointed.
Always enjoy going to the Sawmill, only disappointment was there is no longer Rack Of Lamb.
Service was good, our server was friendly and helpful. It was a little noisy with kids but not unbearable. Food was very good, however the prime rib was requested medium rare but arrived medium.

This is the only Sawmill location that we will go to. Best one by far.
Went for lunch, 12:00pm reservation. Our orders did not get taken until 12:15. Our food was not on the table until 12:45. We finished eating at 12:00pm. We did not get the bill settled until 1:15pm (I paid for everyone since we all had to get back to work for 1:00), it was better one of us be late rather than everyone.
Service was excellent! Distancing was in place and felt very safe to dine there.

Strange that after so many client lunches at this spot - which hasn’t been known for exemplary service for several years - the ‘Sawmill’ has decided to close its dinning room at noon.
One might think this would at least mean attentive service in the lounge, and to some extent they’d be correct. However, it seems this restaurant, whose only unique value is its location, has finally succumbed to its owner’s incompetence or disinterest.
There’re too many, more worthy restaurants struggling to survive; mediocrity simply doesn’t cut it, if it ever did.

We were very pleased with the service and the food at the Capilano Sawmill.
We were able to sit on the patio. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was tasty. I love the salmon beet salad. Prices are up and they’ve changed the rewards program which is annoying. It is now an app, I have too many apps on my phone already. If you transfer your points you need to start on the website BEFORE you get the app. I did it backwards and couldn’t transfer my points.
Our server was knowledgeable and very helpful.

The lemon chicken was hard and dry and far to many onions.
The prime rib did not taste as good as usual and looked odd and the Yorkshire pudding was cold.
My fillet was good but the waiter forgot my French onion soup and when I asked for it was very apologetic and did not charge for it.
We were there on Sunday and we could really see how the pandemic has affected your business.
This was the first mediocre meal we have had at the Sawmill after many many years of dining there but it will be awhile before we come back.
It was quite busy the night we were there, and so the serving staff were running. We had a problem with an undercooked steak, but out server took care of it immediately and the result was a very good meal with only a short delay. all in all a very good experience.
Experience was excellent. We were quite isolated from others which made us feel safe during our meal. The server was amazing as was the food. We’ll definitely go back again and also recommend this location to our family and friends.

If you want a place where you can sit and have a pleasant conversation with your dining partner, this is the place. The music is at a reasonable volume.The waiters are NOT trying to be your new best friend, rather they are there to be helpful and then disappear. The food is consistent.
I called to confirm they still had the steak and lobster special on Monday before making my reservation, they said yes.
We get there- no special, no baked potatoes, no sour dough bread. The lobster tails were so small for the extra $21.95. The shrimp screwer for $5.95 had 2 shrimp and you had to perl them so there was no garlic taste. Talked to the manager and she didn’t seem to care.
No wonder there were only the 4 of us in the dining room u til an hour later maybe 6 people came in.
And the waiter ruined the surprise of the birthday cake. He comes oh is it someone’s birthday, someone brought in a surprise cake like wt.
It was the worse birthday supper I have ever had.
As always, our prime rib was excellent. Conversely, the vegetables (carrots) seemed under cooked for some members of our group.
Went to Sawmill Capilano specificities for the Monday night steak and lobster feature. Checked the online menu before making the reservation. Was celebrating a family event.
Found that the current menu is different than the online menu.
I should have called to confirm given Covid events.
But I have to ask that given how easy it is to update websites, and the time restaurants had to prepare for reopening, it seems reasonable to expect a note on the website stating
